Great band in the 60's had a great string of hits!!! Remember when the guitarist would flip his guitar over and on the back it said "FANG"...his nickname...Miss those times.....
Mark Lindsey grew up in the town I'm from. One of my classmates went to the First Christian Church where Lindsey attended. Paul Revere owned and operated a Reed N Bell drive in in town where everyone would cruise around on weekends. I only went to one of the Raider's local dances as there were several local bands playing at the time. In fact Paul Revere's relatives lived about half mile from where I grew up. Great time in America...........
You Are So Right! I wanted to go to one of their concerts, but mom and dad had a hard time feeding 6 kids. But I did have every one of their albums and still have them.
I saw Mark and Mickey Dolenz in Kansas City a few years ago. It was great. Mark’s voice is still there and he’s still got the high kicks and moves. Mickey was great too.
As a geriatric RN I just can't believe 85. No one 85 looks and acts like that. I think it would be hard to pull off at 60. And as far as I know he is still alive. Don't know why he would lie about it.
All these Raiders vids I am watching do not represent the sound they had on record. I think they are a production band. I think maybe Melcher was imitating Spektors Wall of Sound. On record they are compressed and just blast out. Its why I call them an early Metal band.
Some people never did learn how to spell other people’s name properly! Mark is giving ALL OF GOOD Entertainment And He Is GIVING YOU HISTORY LESSON YOU WILL NEVER GET IN SCHOOL!
Being in the Midwest, we weren't blessed with l.a.'s programming. I was a very young fan of the raiders then. I'm considerably older and campaigning for the raiders to be enshrined in the rock and roll hall of fame. Idk who the black ballers are but yes Paul Revere and the Raiders BELONG IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME
Yeah well Paul has black balled them with his comedy routine. Their music is top rank and so were their record sales. Paul should have given it a rest.
In KC AM radio was the thing and we had all the rockers on WHB. Raiders were very popular. WDAF was the old school country station and talk and it was by far the biggest. TV too. Don't think I ever listened to FM until I was driving. It was mainly classical until later.
I did come home from school everyday at 3:00 and tune into channel 7 to where the Action is. Mark Lindsay was so sexy--lady killer. He is great here! So talented. I love "Small Town Woman". Slayed me and made me cry the first time I heard it at age 16.
Lindsay was at Harrah's when he split from the band I think it had to do something about somebody stole their outfits the end after that cuz I was at Harrah's he was there one day and gone the next there was some kind of fight that went on about I think the the outfits but if I never got a chance to meet him in person to ask him that question
Don't know exactly why Linsey split from the Raiders. He must of been too old for the grind. Never seen an 85 year old in this kind of shape though. Maybe Paul was cheap.
@@richbailey8174 so here is Mark, singing the happy music he was doing with Paul Revere. Guess the dreams of solo stardom didn't work out for Mack Linney.

He still has it! Glad to see him out performing!
One of my favorite rock groups from the 1960s, growing up!

Yes.
Love you & Raiders for a long time.

Saw them when a teenager. Had their albums. On stage they had so much positive energy. A travesty the band isn't in the hall of fame.
You Are So Right! I wanted to go to one of their concerts, but mom and dad had a hard time feeding 6 kids. But I did have every one of their albums and still have them.
He sounds absolutely amazing. What a voice!
They were not only on Where the Action Is but The Happing. And Mark Lindsay was the coolest dude to.
I saw Mark and Mickey Dolenz in Kansas City a few years ago. It was great. Mark’s voice is still there and he’s still got the high kicks and moves. Mickey was great too.
Dolenze voice is bad ass. Mark used to howl and growl which he probably still can't do. I liken him to David Lee Roth.
@@rogersmith7396 yes, Dullins' voice is bad these days, but Linseed can still kick out the jams.
What an absolute shame that Paul Revere and the Raiders are still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Now, 9 years later, Mark Lindsay is 80 years old.
He said he was 83 nine years ago.

He looked pretty young on "Married with Children".
@@rogersmith7396 he's 80, and in pretty spry shape.
Especially for having fractured several vertebrae, back in the '70s.
This guy is a great showman and in pretty fine voice for his age. Good band too.
Thanks for posting.
Brings back great memories
Great sound quality…thanks! It’s Lindsay. ☺️

Globalists control the music industry and won't let in a band that represents patriotism and nationalism into the R&R Hall of Shame.
You are correct.

Why is he saying he is 85? Internet has him at 81 in 2023...anyway he sounds great
Thinking he was joking..At least hoping he was joking?????
I could afford precious few albums back in the 60’s (and VERY discerning about the music I collected) but I had a ‘Raiders’ album…
Same here. They were $4.00 at Pennys. But I had every raiders album I wanted.

Good old Mark Linsee. I miss Drake Lewis, Mike Schmit, Phil Vox and Revere Dink.
lol
Silly boy. We miss you too.
Just watched a Smothers Brothers vid with that band. Them at their peak.
@@rogersmith7396 what band? Paul Revere and the Rascals? Yeah, they were great, almost as good as the Monkeys, and the Young Raiders.

Mark Lindsay is very good too.
sounds like 1964 in Portland Oregon in the at the Battle of the bands- Where it all started !!!!!!
Absolutely Yes!
He was born in 1942, so, he turned 80, this past March 9th.
I don't know where everybody is getting 85.
He said he was 85
@@skylershank9309 thanks.
Jim - The name is Mark Lindsay. Mr Fowler is just poking a bit of fun.
This was recorded in Houston Texas which isn't anywhere near as hip as Dallas
I would'nt call either place the essence of hip. Austin. More like Willie Nelson ville.
Dude! You spelled his last name wrong!
The spelling of his name is wrong on the title of this post .. seriously.
I can't believe 85. Maybe 60 and a good looking 60. My mind is blown. He does some of Pauls schtick but no where near as intrusive.
One has to wonder if his red bathrobe came from Kmart or Bed Bath & Beyond
Super 8.

Why do you have Mark Lindsay spelled wrong?
It's a dig at Mark.
His last name is ' Lindsay ' not " Linsey " as you spelt it, Jim Vogel. Pull your head out.
Coulda spelled Mark's name right.........
TAKE A POWDER< MARK! IT's OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The least you could do is spell his name correctly!
Shocking. Anyone who bought a ticket should not only be refunded but compensated for time lost and damaged to hearing.
