1:18:00 This is insanely powerful stuff and maybe your best episode of the year. It's glorious when somebody brings numbers and data to the table.

Happy New Year guys, great that you did this on last day of the year. Really hoping Matusow is on later. As for legal gambling/sports betting. We have this in the UK, betting shops were opening up in all the poor areas of the country and were packed, a lot of people got addicted to the point the government enforced rules about problem gamblers, limiting how much biggest losers can add to sites etc. Basically it was huge success for the bookies who made a fortune but caused big problems for wider society including a lot of suicides from people who lost everything. It's still here now just regulated to protect the most vulnerable.

ALso winning sports bettors are usually banned by the bookies here, it's effectively like playing slots,, you will get the odd win but you are losing gradually to the house.

Okay, that was worth actual real dollars. Note that if we had universal health care and a stronger (dare I say socialistic) medical/economic system, the societal cost would *immediately* fall to the state, thus policy makers might be more inclined to put guard rails in.

As someone living in a country with legalised gambling and free healthcare, I assure you that’s not what’s happening.

Having your sports betting PhD guy on, similar to Barber, makes this pod must-watch.

Great start to Conrad's questions @ 50:05.....but I think the question should have been "can data be purchased by the big companies to try to addict the public MORESO..."

As an exercise physiologist. Both Dexa and bod pod type equipment are both very accurate. Bod pod type machines are 1-2.7% margin of error. Dexa is essentially 2.5-3.5% margin of error. Both have their issues and “hacks”. But both will give you a very good estimate of your percent body fat.

The US went through opiates and crack recently as WELL AS the 2008 crisis......but somehow we can't definitively "figure out" whether or not the American public has more or less addictive personalities on an average aggregate....LOL

I'm a survivor of substances as well as being raised in a very strict religious upbringing....but the net result I've recognized as the one of the three survivors of a social circle that had an 85% mortality rate is that people aren't very skilled at making proper adjustments to their thinking...especially in areas of bias...The decisions I kept having to make was one of survival...I'm not keen on Americans having a proper one at this point in time....we can all think of our small areas to be positive towards(I'm ex military) but I think it's important to be ACCURATE ABOVE ALL ELSE - SPECIFICALLY ACCURATE - Thanks for this one!

If home team losing as a favorite increases domestic violence, then I think the state (government in general) has an absolutely legitimate interest in doing something about that.

Circa in Vegas actually has 2 way future lines. Them and South Point are the only 2 real sports books in Vegas. The rest are corporate cowards to stupid to use sharp money to adjust lines.
