I picked up some $10 tickets rather last minute for my girlfriend and I alllllllll the way in the very top row for this show. We were elated that we would be able to see so much talent in one night for only $20 total so we brought our picnic in a cooler and settled into the seats. After about 5 minutes a man who was wandering around behind us overlooking the whole bowl came down and asked "Is it just you two?" I answered "Yup, just us!" expecting him to sit down but he instead handed us two tickets for section 6 in the promenade, right up front. He says "If you want a better view, come down to my box. My wife couldn't make it tonight so I figured I would pass it on." We looked at each other in bewilderment and basically said okay yeah we've gotta check it out. Continue to walk down every row and the staff was directing us to the front. We see our wonderful stranger in his box seat waving and sat down. Got to know him and he's been going to the bowl for 32 years with season passes, just enjoys giving out some good seats if his wife can't join him. Thank you to Hank, the kind and generous Surgeon for the most incredible seats at one of the most incredible venues to see the most impressive musical performance of my life. You blessed us with such an unexpected gift and my girlfriend and I will never forget that night we were able to witness this performance in all it's beauty. Thank you for uploading this, I'm so happy to relive it and witness myself in reaction to some of the beautiful moments. Happy you were able to experience it with us all at the bowl.
My partner and I flew out from Kentucky just to see this live. Wish there was a high quality official recording that I could buy. The only way I can describe the experience is mystical.
One of those albums that has the ability to heal you - by extension, the ability to change your life. There's almost no point trying to talk about it, one can only listen and absorb it, and let it transform you.
changed my life, this album... heard it on my 23rd birthday, which is tonight... I realize all the cast in my life aging, becoming specters, becoming what I must remember instead of experience. I love them all. All friends. All family. This album cast it all back in to perspective. I miss my youth, but I'm paradoxically proud of what I've achieved with age. Cherish all... (I'm drunk)
This is a really good early birthday gift (My bday is October 2), I think Floating Points and the team did a really excellent job on it. The album is really good, but the live show is just as brilliant as well. Even though we may not get an official release of this one night concert, I am glad many recorded it and preserved it. :D
Thanks for recording it. I'm always against cellphone recording, but in this case it was a once in a lifetime experience that not all of us could attend. So it's a gift to be able to get an idea of what was it live.
I listen to this almost weekly. thanks for recording it. quality is perfect and great idea to just put your phone down - you recorded the experience, without it having to interfere with the moment itself. thanks x

Not an exaggeration to say that this show, this performance, is the most beautiful artistic experience I've ever had, and I see a lot of art.
I could not imagine the amount of practice it took to get the timing right on the first melody. Outstanding.
