Listen to his albums and eps, he's not just another electronic music producer. His albums are filled with tracks that are a mix of various genres like minimal, ambient, old school house, jazz chord progressions etc. There are tracks that sound like Bonobo, others that sound like underground/abstract techno, deep house beats all mixed delicately without overpowering the sound. I cannot label Floating Points as a techno DJ, or a House producer or ambient artist. He's very unique and his use of synths and arpeggios I something very few people can do. He's a true artist, not a DJ. Also check out Max Cooper, Four-Tet, David August etc.

Iz-us, polynomial-c, agesopolis, vordhosbn, avril 14th are just a couple i would suggest to anyone looking to start their journey down the long, winding and twisting road into the depths of one of the best catalogues of music from the last 30 years. To this day i still find music that surprises me. He is your favourite musicians favourite musician. A true pioneer in his field. What would be your suggestions for somebody looking to find a starting point?

Yes he is a true Audiophile - Anasickmodular through my Audeze LCD headphones is absolutely mind-bending, sam really is thinking quite forward with his music.
Absolutely mesmerising, every moment and every sound is just perfect. God couldn't have sculpted a set better than this himself. How on Earth is Sam going to top this?! Surely it's impossible...
Saw him at Dour Festival 2018, already loved his music beforehand but his set was something else. Not your average set, challenging and hypnotic. He worked the crowd into an absolute frenzy!!
Completely stumbled on this today. Heard some songs before but this is special. Ratio from start to finish is Sublime. Well done to Sam, RA and the venue. Amazing.
Still to this day I think this was the best live performance I've ever seen... The atmosphere at the start was slightly subdued, the horizontal layout of the hangar was peculiar and i wasn't sure if it was going to work. However as the visuals came up on that back wall and the atmosphere built I knew this was going to be a truly memorable experience...
Wartching loads of boiler room and RA you see and hear alot of crap. This is beautiful, not just great production but a masterfully creative set. Well done. Very jealous here in the states.
Highly recommend you visit Printworks then! I was Jon Hopkins, Modeselektor and few others on soundcrash gig last Friday and it was magical! The video here doesn’t do it’s justice how amazing the venue is!

Over the last few years, Floating Points has "leveled up". Power levels are incomprehensible.
