You are quite literally one of the best pianists here on youtube who recreate Beethoven's masterpieces. Not only is your timing and dynamic sublime, but the sound you get out of that Bosendorfer is absolutely beautiful, almost perfectly reminiscent of what it would be like to hear Beethoven himself playing. Everyone else uses it as a platform to show off their speed. None of them capture it like you have here. you have such clarity.
@@TzviErez Thanks for recording this again, I've been listening your previous video of this piece since I was a kid, and it's really nice to hear a refreshed version from you. You, among many others, have inspired me to learn this sonata, and I'll finally play this in front of an audience next month. Cheers!
Sir, I've watched and saved many of your videos over the years. You have consistently outdone yourself with one great piece after another. It's hard for me to comprehend that you are simultaneously so skilled and so prolific. As for the Moonlight Sonata, this has been the most fantastic rendition of the song's third movement that I've ever encountered. Truly. The intense dynamics you employed really emphasize the piece nicely. And the CLARITY... My goodness, you are delightfully precise. That was an impressive use of such a bright instrument. I have listened to dozens of different artists' interpretation of this song. (My favorites are Horowitz and Fazil Say, and, I admit I'm quite fond of the version that Valentina Lisitsa performed a few years ago.) I never expected to find another person to rival those performances, but it appears I have indeed found a new favorite. This version here is absolutely spectacular. I lost track of the number of times that I said 'wow'. Truly flawless and beautiful. I wish I could listen to it for the first time again.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I have been playing the Moonlight for many years, and it does seem to be getting better with time... Again, thanks for listening and your support.
Your magnificent performance is so in tune with Beethoven's story itself, bound up with the passions that raged within him from lost love. This sonata is not meant to be fast, as many try to reproduce without known history. So a special thank you for being able to do faster but not doing so ) 👏
I've been listening to you more and more. I'm a mostly self-taught very casual player that has attempted some of these sonatas, and I have derived joy from them, and a few close family listeners perhaps some joy in my playing; so that is my frame of reference. For me, when you play you accomplish these two things so well: 1) Keeping Beethoven's music alive in the long arc of history. 2) Injecting your own personality and emotions to make these interpretations not just any other performance, but something unique and worthwhile in their own right. So, from just some random dude across the internet, please know that you and your music are seriously appreciated.
Thank you very much. Beethoven holds a special place in my music journey - I always try to study/play one of his Sonatas, no matter what other music I am working on. Thank you for listening!
Fantástico Beethoven ,,el genio el grande ,,compuso muchas sinfonías estando sordo ,toda la música en su cabeza ,,solía poner los dientes sobre el piano para sentir las vibraciones ,,,Interpretación Genial ,,,
This is a stupendous performance indeed. Made the more interesting by the exquisite video showing the strengths of your fingering. In fact, quite memerising. I shall play this often I feel. Well played and thank you so much !
Outstanding performance and a tempo I like (148/quarter note). I hope I ever get the level to play this piece as you do, but at a tempo higher than 140 bpm I have a hard time.
Simply wonderful, as usual. Your are a great master, really, and an inspiration to become better at the piano👏 (at least for an amateur pianist like me...☺ )
I absolutely love how the passage from 3:49 to 4:10 is so densely packed with modulations. And I love the sudden intensity from 6:44 to 6:48.

@@TzviErez You’re most welcome. I’m quite inspired to keep playing. Thank you
@3:57 - 4:11 = amazing execution of my favorite part of this entire sonata
You play this piece so beautifully. Too many pianists rush it. Your timing is impeccable.
Thank you. Although I can easily play this faster, I always picked this tempo.

The clarity in your voicing is superb. Bravo, Maestro!
@@GamerGuyMatt1892 thank you!
Usually I'm a bit tentative when this song is being played to strict tempo on a bright piano, but it sounds fantastic - nice work!
This piece is so Beethoven! Strong ,demanding, and forceful! Well played with passion!
Thank you 😅
Beethoven was one hell of a composer.
A true artist
