Hi ser Mel I'm planning to buy Honda click 125i nxt month since I'm newbie for single motor I'm still searching some advice like this and I'm so thankful I found your blog its such a big help for me I now got a lots of learning that you shared more ideas. Just want to say thank you so much for all the informations that I need to know especially the specific gasoline type that I will use once I have my own motorcycle. You did a great job on this blog thank you so much ser Mel ill keep watching your blogs. Keep safe more power God Bless!
Ganda nito maayos paliwanag.
Premium or Unleaded? Most Filipinos are still saying premium and unleaded to distinguish two types of gasoline. And these same peopla are still thinking that because it is called unleaded, it has low octane, and that premium has high octane. Well, for info number 1. The Philippines no longer sell leaded gasoline. All gasoline types are now unleaded. Which leads us to info number 2. The correct term now should be premium and regular. Not premium and unleaded. So info number 3 is...premium has higher octane, and regular has lower octane. But both are unleaded. But here's another wrong notion about octane rating. People think that fuel with higher octane is more powerful than those with low octane. Which leads us to info number 4. Octane rating is not for power. It is to equal the compression ratio of the engine. Regular cars and motorcycles we use for our daily commute has low compression ratio. Therefore they do not need high octane fuel. These type of vehicles are highly recommended to just use regular gas (which we wrongly call "unleaded"). Info number 5. Sports cars and sports motorcycles have high performance engines. The compression ratio of their engines are very high. Using regular gas for these engines will cause pre-ignition due to the high compression inside the combustion chamber, which in turn causes piston knocks. And piston knocks damages the engine. Info number 6. The octane in the fuel are retarding agents which prevents pre-ignition caused by high compression engines. That is why high performance engines MUST use premium gas (which we wrongly call "leaded") because they have higher octane, which prevents pre-ignition. in short: Low Compression=Low Octane. High Compression=High Octane. If your vehicle is not a sports car, don't use premium. your car will run. But it will not have any effect on your engine's power whatsoever. You will just be one of those who spend more money for fuel you don't need. And if your vehicle is a high performance one, don't use regular. You will hurt your engine, and your pocket for the repair later on. And don't say premium and unleaded. Say premium and regular. Because all gasoline fuel are now unleaded. I hope this helped Ctto.
Well xplained sir, just a clarification,if my motorcycle has low compression engine it is ok to use a higher octane gasoline? Does it cause bad effects on my engine?
Ser Mel I appreciated your detailed explanation about the three (3) kinds of gasoline which are unleaded na pala. Now I know what best gasoline for my car so that its engine life span will last longer. Thank you!!!
0. Ideal concept siguro ito (feeling q since dito tayu pinas) 0.00 Delikado na paps ung plastic container nyo, hope all is well. 0.000 Sasabog po sir maski ndi natin comppress basta may sapat na ratio ng fuel and air then ighnite and at sealed type. Diesel ndi sasabog ng walang compression sir, painit lng.(correct me if i'm wrong po) 0.0000 Compression Ratio gauge or pagitan ng magiging pag comress from Bottom thru TDC and the remaining space at the chamber. (by 2D) 1. Nangyayari rin ang detonation due lower volume of bore it self, kalumaan (carbon). 2. Kayang marining ang "PING" basta responsableng Driver (tho mahirap to sa diesel) 3. Pwede naman gumamit ng higher octane sa lesser requirent engine nyo paps and hindi nakakadag dag ng power but then these makes your fuel lines and injectors cleaner (foreign object build us) as well as combustion chamber. 4. About the Final Thoughts (of Mr. Mel), yes po ok naman ito pero i highly suggest sa mga new vehicles lang and highly maintained engines. If not, you would be require to load up a higher compression ratio (RON, research octane ratio) for your vehicles that's getting older "since your bore is getting less of volume the more it get's old" , more compression ratio is needed then. 5. Diesel talaga kontrobersyal rito, ibang diesel engine ng other countries grabe linis ng exhaust then unlike us, even you already use higher type of diesel still mausok a sa ibang vehicles. Regardless paps on how a certain owner maintain their Diesel cars. (tip of 0.) Then magingat po sa labeled "unleaded", hope these works mga paps. Thanks for sharing your video and thoughts sir.
Grabe anlaking tulong po nitong review nio about sa fuel! ❤️ Thank you so much po! Before i am using regular unleaded but for now i decided to change it into premium! Thanks again and more power!!! 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Baka sa Mars meron 🥴 🥴 the correct term now will be PREMIUM and REGULAR.
The unleaded gasoline are used in our Cars. The leaded gasoline are usually used in plane using high octane gasoline this will increase the temperature of the Engine, at a high altitude the temperature is colder as you go higher, to compensate and keep the aircraft or plane engine temperature at a certain level of temperature liquid lead are added with octane level also.
Ser Mel maganda siguro isunod mo din about IGNITION SYSTEM difference between TCI(Transistor Controled Ignition and CDI(Capasitor Discharge Ignition), pros and cons ng dalawa at effect sa Carburator and FI also sa ECU.. Keep It up Ser Mel! Stay safe Kabayan!
well explained sermel.. susunod mo sana ung diff kind of sparkplug.. platinum, iridium, at ung usual kung my dagdag ba sa power at iba pang pros and cons..tnx👍👍
90 octane - 9:1 to 10:1 compression ratio 92 octane - 10:1 to 11:1 compression ratio 95 octane - 11:1 to 12:1 compression ratio 98 octane - 12:1 above compression ratio
May kanya kanya pong flash point ang bawat gasoline, at heat temperature..kapag hindi sinunod ang recommendation, maaring masira ang makina dahil sa temperature hindi kayanin..especially piston rings...for example unleaded lang dpat sa makina mo, tapos ginamitan mo ng premium at super premium, mas mataas temperature nila at iba din ang flash point...dun masisira ang piston etc....mahirap i explajn dto madmi po i consider..by the way consider my profession as mech. engr kung may doubt po kayo sa explaination ko... Salamat po...
i agree sir, also we need to consider din yung type ng engine even it has high compression ratio. for example, naturally aspirated lang yung engine mo tapos gagamitan mo premium or super-premium gas, even high compress yung stroke ng engine mo kung hindi naman compressed air yung hangin na pinapasok mo sa combustion chamber like sa mga turbo and supercharge engine hindi mag pre-ignite yan. most engine naman ngayon is 10+:1 ang compression ratio eh edi dapat pala i-stop na pagbebenta ng regular gas? hehe... using very high octane(super"duper" premium) na above sa recommended ng manufacturer, you are just wasting your money kasi hindi mo nabuburn yung gas ng maayos at dagdag lang sa air polution...
Mas masarap po pala yung super premium. 😆 Kidding aside, thanks Ser Mel, for the infos I get from your videos! Worth subscribing! Keep posting informative vids. RD!
This episode of your vlog is very informative. The first vlog I watched is about engine oil and that has good content too. Just a question, is there a possibility that unleaded gasoline has 93 octane rating? There's a gasoline station near us that indicates the RON is 93. I don't know if that's marketing.
Sir mel gud day po. Question po me difference ba sya if Fi or Carb type engine salamat po God Bless po more power sa.channel nyo
ANYCREST do not dwell too much on compression ratio unless you are into mods/extreme performance...it only gets complicated....if hindi natin kayang intindihan ang sinabi ni manual kung ano ang min requirement lalo lang tayong malilito sa mga technical na usapan so again stick to the owners/manufacturers manual...it doesn't get easier than that...ride safe
@@ericjude8618 owners manual regular gas as for my nmax experience regular gas gets me 42 - 43 kpl premium gas gets me 45 - 46 kpl however premium makes my engine too hot so i mix them. now i get 43 - 44kpl not really bad blaze... vs premium no difference.
@ANYCREST that is why the recommended octane rating is minmum because higher octane gas does not harm...the question is does it yield any benefit?...you have the answer to that already...none or should i say not noticeable unless you are tinkering with performance/racing engines...about mixing two different octanes well that's your preference...2 extra kms/l for the extra work is your choice...that can be achieved with better driving habits...as for premium gas and hotter engines my question is how did you know that?...what was the temperature reading..was it overheating?...otherwise that's subjective...in the end it's your vehicle, it's your choice...the owner's manual and scientific literature can only guide you so much...ride safe
Hello po Ser Mel. Meron bang long term effects sa engine or overall optimum performance ng motor if gagamit ng premium gasoline when sa manual ay regular unleaded or 91 octane lang ang recommended? Hopefully mapansin nyo po ito. Salamat! Ride safe and more power!
Intake. Compression.
91- regular unleaded. Light green. 93 - extra unleaded. Green. 95 - premium. Red. Sa ptt gasoline may 93 at 95. Petron 91 at 95.
Good day ser mel, aerox user ako.
Points to remember during Compression: 1. Compression does not facilitate ignition but with the introduction of spark in a gasoline engine. 2. Gasoline has higher resistant to auto-ignition so there is no chance of pre-ignition during Compression. Gasoline is designed to readily evaporate into air and not to ignite during Compression in the engine cylinder.Air is compressed in the engine cylinder before the Fuel is injected so there can be no pre-ignition. 3. Compressing the mixtures, air and gasoline, gives us both high Pressure and a large differential volume , hence high efficiency.
TamA ka Edmar & maling-mali etong si meL. there is nO such thing na magkaroOn ng pre-ignition during compression state dahil siguradOng sira ang connecting rOd mo dto' what is clearly happens is that explosions starts during full compressed na yung mixture but before spark plug ignites into a milliseconds due to higher octane ratio mas much capable lumiyab kaAgad yung mixture sa effects nung heat ng surfaces of cumbustion chamber. knocking causes kung ang engine ay hindi design sa ganitong state. ( like those of traditionally old engines.) These is also the main reasons why NOT TO USE a higher Octne Fuels for those Old Designed Engines.
Much better pa daw ang blaze.

Regular =lowest class
Premium =middle class
Super premium =highest class

These type of vehicles are highly recommended to just use regular gas (which we wrongly call "unleaded").
Info number 5. Sports cars and sports motorcycles have high performance engines. The compression ratio of their engines are very high. Using regular gas for these engines will cause pre-ignition due to the high compression inside the combustion chamber, which in turn causes piston knocks. And piston knocks damages the engine.
Info number 6. The octane in the fuel are retarding agents which prevents pre-ignition caused by high compression engines. That is why high performance engines MUST use premium gas (which we wrongly call "leaded") because they have higher octane, which prevents pre-ignition.
in short:
Low Compression=Low Octane.
I hope this helped
Ctto.
Thank you very helpful
napaka informative sir. thank you
Well xplained sir, just a clarification,if my motorcycle has low compression engine it is ok to use a higher octane gasoline? Does it cause bad effects on my engine?
Verry Well Said
Thank toy So much
Mel, with due respect. You're really know the topic well. And you present them clean & clear no less, no more.... Thanks...
Napaka helpful po talaga to para sa mga baguhang motorista maraming salamat po sa very full of information na vlog nyo
This man deserves more subs!
stack raider 150 pwed ng super gasolin
Thanks Sir for explaining it like " For the Dummies" . Very useful and descriptive.
Ser Mel I appreciated your detailed explanation about the three (3) kinds of gasoline which are unleaded na pala.
Now I know what best gasoline for my car so that its engine life span will last longer. Thank you!!!
Solid din preparation and research.
Maraming salamat sir mel at nagkaroon ako ng malaki at kapakipakinabang tungkol sa gas para sa motor, thank you for sharing.mabuhay po kayo sir.
0. Ideal concept siguro ito (feeling q since dito tayu pinas)
0.00 Delikado na paps ung plastic container nyo, hope all is well.
0.000 Sasabog po sir maski ndi natin comppress basta may sapat na ratio ng fuel and air then ighnite and at sealed type. Diesel ndi sasabog ng walang compression sir, painit lng.(correct me if i'm wrong po)
0.0000 Compression Ratio gauge or pagitan ng magiging pag comress from Bottom thru TDC and the remaining space at the chamber. (by 2D)
1. Nangyayari rin ang detonation due lower volume of bore it self, kalumaan (carbon).
2. Kayang marining ang "PING" basta responsableng Driver (tho mahirap to sa diesel)
(tip of 0.)
Then magingat po sa labeled "unleaded", hope these works mga paps.
Thanks for sharing your video and thoughts sir.
Quality content nanaman. Deserving sa 1M Subs to!
You are right sir, deserving to have 1m subs
Ang Galing...Ang Linaw Ng paliwanag..salamat Sir☺️
Grabe anlaking tulong po nitong review nio about sa fuel! ❤️ Thank you so much po!
Antagal ko napong nanonood ng mga vlog about fuels kung regular or premium ba ang gagamitin ko sa click 125i ko.. Before i am using regular unleaded but for now i decided to change it into premium!
Thanks again and more power!!! 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Di naman masyadong mainit regular user din ako dati click 125i tas nag premium nadin ako maganda kasi
Nice presentation and crystal clear explanation.
Tnku
Baka sa Mars meron 🥴 🥴 the correct term now will be PREMIUM and REGULAR.
Very well said Ser Mel, ur vlog adds knowledge to the motorists like me. Keep on vlogging, happy new year n Godbless
Maganda topic Yan sir...
Salamat ifol
well explained sermel.. susunod mo sana ung diff kind of sparkplug.. platinum, iridium, at ung usual kung my dagdag ba sa power at iba pang pros and cons..tnx👍👍
90 octane - 9:1 to 10:1 compression ratio
92 octane - 10:1 to 11:1 compression ratio
95 octane - 11:1 to 12:1 compression ratio
98 octane - 12:1 above compression ratio
pre 10 :1 95 to 96 octane
9:1 to going 10 is 83 to 91 octane
Thank you po ser mel💪 Great Explaination! Godbless po always✨
Informative. Good job.
May kanya kanya pong flash point ang bawat gasoline, at heat temperature..kapag hindi sinunod ang recommendation, maaring masira ang makina dahil sa temperature hindi kayanin..especially piston rings...for example unleaded lang dpat sa makina mo, tapos ginamitan mo ng premium at super premium, mas mataas temperature nila at iba din ang flash point...dun masisira ang piston etc....mahirap i explajn dto madmi po i consider..by the way consider my profession as mech. engr kung may doubt po kayo sa explaination ko... Salamat po...
Pagawa naman ng video nyan ser.
i agree sir, also we need to consider din yung type ng engine even it has high compression ratio. for example, naturally aspirated lang yung engine mo tapos gagamitan mo premium or super-premium gas, even high compress yung stroke ng engine mo kung hindi naman compressed air yung hangin na pinapasok mo sa combustion chamber like sa mga turbo and supercharge engine hindi mag pre-ignite yan. most engine naman ngayon is 10+:1 ang compression ratio eh edi dapat pala i-stop na pagbebenta ng regular gas? hehe... using very high octane(super"duper" premium) na above sa recommended ng manufacturer, you are just wasting your money kasi hindi mo nabuburn yung gas ng maayos at dagdag lang sa air polution...
Nice one sir mel😎..napakalinaw mo mag paliwanag..salamat sa info, napakalaking tulong po.God bless!
Mas masarap po pala yung super premium. 😆
Kidding aside, thanks Ser Mel, for the infos I get from your videos! Worth subscribing! Keep posting informative vids. RD!
Another quality vlog from Ser Mel! Thumbs up

Well explained bro, para kang professor, keep it up bro, God bless!
Tnx bro sa. Explained. Dagdag kaalaman nmn ito.👏🤛
kudos sayo sir! more vlogs pa sir like this!
Paki explain naman sir what is FI or fuel injection.thaks
Thank you ulit Ser Mel sa napakalinaw na explaination about types of gasoline.
Sir Mel.
This helps a lot. Thank you, Ser Mel!
New subscriber PO ako..
Galing! Sarap pakinggan at i apply sa totoong buhay.. RS!
This episode of your vlog is very informative. The first vlog I watched is about engine oil and that has good content too. Just a question, is there a possibility that unleaded gasoline has 93 octane rating? There's a gasoline station near us that indicates the RON is 93. I don't know if that's marketing.
Sir,ano b madaling masunog o ignition point low or high octane
Sir mel gud day po. Question po me difference ba sya if Fi or Carb type engine salamat po God Bless po more power sa.channel nyo
Wala po. Same requirement pa din.
so 91 + 95 / 2 = 93 octane
ANYCREST do not dwell too much on compression ratio unless you are into mods/extreme performance...it only gets complicated....if hindi natin kayang intindihan ang sinabi ni manual kung ano ang min requirement lalo lang tayong malilito sa mga technical na usapan so again stick to the owners/manufacturers manual...it doesn't get easier than that...ride safe
@@ericjude8618 owners manual regular gas
as for my nmax experience
regular gas gets me 42 - 43 kpl
premium gas gets me 45 - 46 kpl
however premium makes my engine too hot
so i mix them. now i get 43 - 44kpl not really bad
blaze... vs premium no difference.
@ANYCREST that is why the recommended octane rating is minmum because higher octane gas does not harm...the question is does it yield any benefit?...you have the answer to that already...none or should i say not noticeable unless you are tinkering with performance/racing engines...about mixing two different octanes well that's your preference...2 extra kms/l for the extra work is your choice...that can be achieved with better driving habits...as for premium gas and hotter engines my question is how did you know that?...what was the temperature reading..was it overheating?...otherwise that's subjective...in the end it's your vehicle, it's your choice...the owner's manual and scientific literature can only guide you so much...ride safe
two thumbs up Sir for the information 👍👍👊
Thank you sir, malinaw na malinaw. Galing niyu mag turo.
Thumbs up boss 👍👍
Hello po Ser Mel. Meron bang long term effects sa engine or overall optimum performance ng motor if gagamit ng premium gasoline when sa manual ay regular unleaded or 91 octane lang ang recommended? Hopefully mapansin nyo po ito. Salamat! Ride safe and more power!
4 stroke, 5 events
you mean combustion chamber yung loob ng makina sir at tinuturo din sa school yun... combustion yan na process of burning... power is after ng combustion...
Sa pinas 93 octane ang nakasanayang tawaging unleaded.
91- regular unleaded. Light green.
93 - extra unleaded. Green.
95 - premium. Red.
Sa ptt gasoline may 93 at 95.
Petron 91 at 95. Inalis na nila 93.
Ganda ng Explanation nalilito kasi ako, for now alam kuna na dapat nakadepende sa compression ratio ang octane na gagamitin
Sir anong dpat n gsolin a s TMX 155 Honda?
Regular - pula.
More powers SerMel💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Good day ser mel, aerox user ako.
aerox uset din ako. premium gas user ako simula break in
It's in the vlog. I discussed about that po.
Pag 250cc Sir Mel, anong recommended fuel nito?
Mas ok yung may magic sarap. HAHAHAHA rs sa lahat! 😁
Wow - learned a lot!!! subscribe aq agad may substance vlog, keep it up sir...
Points to remember during Compression:
3. Compressing the mixtures, air and gasoline, gives us both high Pressure and a large differential volume , hence high efficiency.
thanks google
So is the octane rating just a clever marketing scam?
Very wrong bro you don't know what you're talking about?
😏
