    Additional notes:
    1. Kung bagong rebore ang motor or sasakyan ninyo. Sundin niyo kung anung sasabihin ng inyong mekaniko. Hindi yan galing sa factory kaya hindi sigurado ang clearances.
    2. Kapag bagong karga din ang makina, ganun din. Follow your mechanic's instruction.

      I remember the time na nilabas ko from casa yung china bike ko na Lifan 110. Sabi ng mekaniko sa E Rod. ng Lifan. Wag ihahataw. Pagkalabas full throttle agad hahaha

    Possible reason for long break-in recommendations is that if the manufacturer can convince you to ride gently early on, they are less likely to have to repair anything on warranty.

Atleast may helmet at sumusunod sa batas eh kung walang pambili ng helmet mga binibigyan nya ng helmet kumbaga laet muna sa helmet bago bigay ng sponsor helmet.     Totoo po yan .. 35yrs. mechanical engr. Po tatay ko sa Ducati motor company ..di dw totoo yung 40-60kph na break in ..mas ok daw kpag nka 50km kna i saka mo sya i top speed ng dahan dahan na walng bira..pagkatapos 100km ..saka mo sya ibira kapag 50kph speed to top speed..mkikita mo result napaka ganda..ginawa ko sa click v3 ko ..super ganda ang takbo..and take note wag na wag kyo gagamit ng premium unleaded ..kpag sa scooter 125 - 180cc ..di daw mganda sa makina ..dapat regular lang ....maniwala kayo sa hindi ..its ok ... Kyo nlang bahala ..basta ako nagshare knowledge ako..and tama talaga si ser mel

    Thanks po Ser Mel! Very informative video! Agree ako sa i break-in ung skill sa pag momotor. Kumbaga sa weapon, ang motor natin ay extension ng atin sarili kaya maiging hasain talaga para maging pulido ang pag gamit. Kakapurchase ko lang last Dec 19 ng first 400 cc na motor ko and until now kinikilala ko parin siya still using it like my normal way of driving. Sobrang ganda ng phase na ito para sa mga matagal na gumamit ng semi-auto tapos mag sshift sa manual.
    Ang dami kong natutunan na mga bagay na di ko ineexpect na vital pala like sa gulong at breaks.

    Always hard break-in for me. So far wala naman naging problema sa 2 motor ko. Both are running perfect. For me mas ok na malaman na may problema ang motor habang under warranty pa. Desiplina lang kailangan, know your limits and always think of other road users when testing your speedlimit. BTW ser mel, and dami ko ng natutunan sa vlogs mo, hindi lang puro ride. Thanks

    Just an additional input. Soft break-in may increase the life span of a motorcycle compared to hard break-in. It reduces the chances of wear and tear of its parts. Gentle use of motorcycle for normal depreciation. Ride safe!

    Just found your channel. As a CNC machinist- can confirm. One of the machine im operating is capable of achieving tolerances of +/- .00025 of an inch. For reference. Human hair is .00062 of an inch. Btw- that machine is 17 years old.

    Agreed aq sa normal use for break in sa sinasabi mo Sir Mel, pero sa experience ko iba ang sinasabi mo sa runin vs breakin. What you are describing is the durability tests that all manufacturers test their engines to gauge the longevity of the parts. Most motorcycles coming from the manufacturer has no run time in the engine or trans. Hence, the breakin period must be followed so that the bedding of the rings, pistons and cylinder wall will occur slowly. Also this gives any of the metal shavings time to be suspended in the breakin oil. You must also account for temperature cycles in the breakin period for the metal and gaskets to properly go thru the heat and cool cycles to achieve an even bond. I don’t agree with the hard breakin, because if anything gives up while you are full throttle, there is a chance for catastrophic failure because the breakin cycle wasn’t observed. I am a huge supporter of your vlogs and hope to meet you someday in your shop.

    I used to watch english vids with regard to these myths, debates and whatnot. And it's really nice to see that we have a filipino vlogger who can truthfully and informatively explain and bust these ancient old topics. Kudos Ser Mel!     Ang tunay na binibreak-in ay yung rider sa motor. Huwag mag mabilis kung hindi mo kilala o hindi mo kaya yung gamit mo.
    Nakakatawa lang kasi noong bago pa scooter ko, kinakapa ko pa kung saan yung busina at signal light. Baliktad kasi sa Honda Beat... Nice topic po, Ser Mel.

      Agree ako sau...
      sa nmax ko nung bago pa, puro exercises sa open area tulad ng full circle clockwise/counterclockwise , figure of eights, emergency braking ang ginagawa ko. Then sa sa kalsada naman “niroromansa” ko lang. slow(40kph) then gradual build up ng speed (anywhere from 70-100) then balik slow. Repeat.
      So may ideya ako ano ang braking power ng motor, angle ng lean/banking at ano ang kaya nitong ibuga sa acceleration (overtaking). Never ko ginawa yang paabutin sa topspeed.
      Sabay na nabreakin yung nmax pati ako na 1st time magkaroon ng scooter.

    nice content po sir coming from an engineer's perspective, true po lahat ng sinabi nyo and I commend you for telling that. but dun po sa part na sinabi nyong if sasabog yung makina tapos ibabalik sa casa, I doubt tatanggapin nila yun. Gagawin po kasi nilang panangga yung manufacturer's manual sa mc nyo, magiging void po ata yun if nakita nilang di mo yun nasunod. yun lang po. All in all super, very, amazing ng vlog nyo po, sobrang daming matututunan ang mga berks dito. more power!

    I personally agree na yung manufacturing processes today is really really good compared 60 to 70 years ago, with tolerances of 0.1 mm before to maybe 0.0001 mm. I believe however in Soft Break-in but not limited when exploring the limits of my engine/ motorcycle. Ibang usapan pag emergency situation.

    This is a true story. I have a friend who believes on hard break in and other friend who believes on soft break in. You know after 2-3 years the performance of soft break in was like new while the hard break in... lol almost 1/2 of the original performance.

    Running-in fit is needed for the piston ring and crank shaft bearing. Please note that wear is directly proportional to pressure and velocity. I still believe that soft break-in is important. Just sharing. Thanks.

      Tama yung iba kasi iaadvice hatawin mo eka agad kaya ang nangyayari semplang tapos sisisihin yung preno o gulong syempre hindi naman parehas ang classification ng motor kaya kailangan mo munang kilalanin o kabisaduhing mabuti

    Very thankful ser sa info, three weeks pa lang ako nag momotor as service sa trabaho due to pandemic, i follow the user manual about soft break in, but one thing i learned about your video is to follow that guide for your own safety. And what i have heard sa madaming tao na keso bawal daw magpatakbo ng llagpas about 60 keso kakatukin daw ang makina is a bluff andi watch your video about fuel, the 4engine strokes pati yung octane level and madami akong natutunan siince bago pa lang ako sa mundo ng mga riders😊 3 weeks na pala akong pinagloloko ng mga tao na nakakausap ko sa bayan namin, salamat po information, malaking tulong po iti sa mga begginer na kagaya ko, mas mabuting mag subscribe ako sa youtube channel nyo mas kapanipaniwala kasi may scientific basis, i will highly recommend your videos sa mga kagaya kong begginer din😊😊😊😊😊

    Very informative! Just got my NMAX 2.1 nitong February 2022. Soft break-in ang method ko since baguhan lng din sa Motorcycle and 1st Motorcycle ko din to.

    Sobrang Legit! 👌 Ako nag break in kasi first time ko nag motor dahil dun nagamay ko ng husto yung motor na gamit ko. Siyempre pag bago ka mangangapa ka marami akong natutunan dahil sa break in na yan lalo kapag baguhan sa motor.
    Break in para mga baguhan na rider siyempre dapat takbong pogi lang pag kakahawak lang ng motor pag aralan maigi ang manibela bago mag matulin at mangamote 👍👍

    Si MC Garage dinebunk na rin nya yung soft at hard break-in at halos walang pinagkaiba sa resulta. Sobrang liit ng diperensya na di nakakaapekto sa performance ng motor. New sub, mas gusto ko yung ganitong motovlog na may saysay di gaya nung iba na puro kakamotehan lang hehe.

      Para sa akin po ang break in ay dapat rin sinusunod ang pruseso hindi lng para sa makapag ingat ang rider kundi para dumagal din ang piston ring ng motor nyo,naranasan ko na kasi na pagkalabas sa kompanya ang motor mo ay hatawin mo agad ng hatawin ay madali syang umusok,iba pa rin ung mga 1500 kl ang tinakbo nya bgo mo sya hatawhatawin ng tudo mas maganda po un sa aking karanasan sa mga bagong motor

    I agree with you Ser Mel, noong binili ko Click150 ko di ko alam yang BreakIn na yan. But the thing is kinilala ko yung motor ko especially the Breaks and Tires for my safety purposes. From Fury, Mio and then Click napakalaking adjustment ginawa ko. RS everyone! 👌

    Good day paps.with all due respect,i do respect what you’ve learned being an engineer.what you’ve said is applicable to those motorcycle manufacturers who have their own pedigree.for example,ducati,aprilla etc.those japanese bikes such as honda,yamaha etc.but......did you know that most chinese bikes dont do what most european and japanese manufactures do.most china bikes do the dinos randomly.for example...for every 100 bikes they sell,only 2 or 3 undergo dinomometer test.that is why chinese bike manufacturers suggest such procedure.i call it......quantity assurance.thank you paps.more power!

    FYI, myth lang po yan break in. I work at automotives here in Australia, tinetest na po namin yung engine bago irelease sa factory.
