Button Rock Mountain Winter Hike, Roosevelt National Forest, Colorado

Button Rock Mountain, elevation 8,450’, is located in the Roosevelt National Forest just outside of Lyons, Colorado. Its summit is somewhat wooded but there is a separate rock outcrop along the ridge that offers unobstructed views of Rocky Mountain National Park and surrounding mountains. Total stats: 8.5 miles with 1450’ elevation gain
