What's really good is homemade vanilla ice cream made into a shake. One of my favorite shakes that I make uses cut up ripe cantaloupe. It makes a great cantaloupe shake. It sounds weird, but boy is it good.
When I saw you poor the melted butter over the crisp, your cast iron pan looks s much like my Grandma. My mom used it for years then gave it to me and for almost 40years I’ve used it almost every day to feed my family so that’s 4 generations that good old cast iron pan has made meals. Thank you grandma! And this grandma has feed my grandkids with it. Your meal looks so good and homemade ice cream what could be better.😊
Hi Tipper and Matt, the cherry crisp and ice cream look so delicious. I'm so happy you had some green beans and cucumbers as well as potatoes and radishes. The steak looked good too. I hope you have a great night!😊❤🙏🏻
I was kinda expecting a baby announcement. Tomorrow is my baby's birthday, so maybe Corie will have him then. It is always nice to have help in the kitchen. Everything looked so good. I keep waiting for my Cherokee Purple to get to growing good. Our weather has been all over the place.
Matt is such a “man’s man”, I think that’s why we love him. He’s like our father’s and my husband… just watching us talk and waiting for us to stop. Like can you speed this up, my dad used to say “can you give me the readers digest version”…
Even though you had unexpected guests ya'll still completed your video. Almost everyday you post something. It's obvious your family are the church members who check in daily to make sure we are all okay. Thanks and love to you and yours.
You know, as a child I never cared for cherries either. My mother used to make a cherry pie and an apple pie, I would never eat the cherry pie, but my Dad sure did! Now that I am an older adult, yep I like cherries! Thank you again Tipper and Matt for your channel, it’s so peaceful and soothing for my day! May God bless you all!
Love y'all I miss my family from WVA. Love hearing y'all talk it takes me back in my memories! I bought your cookbook for my bday this past Mon. 66 already! The years sure do creep up on ya! Love and blessings to all of you! 🙏❤
My son bought me an ice cream maker that is both crank and electric. This reminded me to make some ice cream. I will surprise everyone the next time everyone can make it home. Please pray for me. Tomorrow I have another mammogram and a sonogram. The last ones have been steadily worse.
Thank you for showing canning ,freeze ing, people give me there abundance tomato s so made tomato juice I was thinking of you all time, apples, applesauce, small amounts but every little bit is better than nothing love the family's ❤
Eating some of your hard work, your bounty, is a blessing. And I am sure each bite was delicious 😋 I think Ira wanted some of that cherry crisp. 🍒 Bless that sweet boy. 🙏
I love crisps, I have been making them since I was a child. I learned to cook on a wood cook stove. I was cooking and gardening for as long as I can remember. God bless.
In the winter, when there wasn’t fresh fruit she made a blushing peach crisp. She used store bought canned peaches with the juice & red imperial candied. I wish I knew the measurements. It was called Blushing Peach Crisp. The color of the crisp was like a beautiful sunrise.
You make each video without a doubt filled with celebration. Incredible stuff how you are including your bounty with the sites and sounds of everyday life. I know I’m not the only one enjoying the sounds of your grandson and you including the beginning of many bits and pieces of your relationship. I feel the need when around mine to add to my thousands of photos and videos of them. They grow so fast. Take care and continued best wishes for the gardening. You and Matt were a mighty pair before he joined TH-cam full time. But so much more even now. Evidence in each video.
I am the ice cream maker for the family. I have found through the years that everyone in the family prefers frozen custard. It's a lot more trouble, but it is so rich and creamy. You can add fruit or chocolate to your custard as you choose.
When I was a kid in southern Georgia, we had an old ice cream churn. We loved making homemade ice cream and fought over whose turn it was to turn the handle. Your supper looked SO good! And the cherry crisp looked even better. I like it browned just the way you had it, Tipper. I, too, like the corners of desserts.
I remember this kind of ice cream when I was a little kid. The only recipe that I have been able to find ( and I have looked for years) had eggs in it…..which made it more of a custard. Thank you so much.
I grew up with the hand crank ice cream maker. Mom filled the can, dad set it up and we kids had to take turns turning the crank. The littlest of us started off when it was easy to turn. Then as it became harder we older ones took over. Dad or my older brother would finish it off when it was tough to turn. It was so good on a hot California summer day.
For some reason your videos stopped showing up on my page. I was worried that something bad happened to y’all. I’m so glad you all are doing well and I’m going to catch up
I've made a similar dish in the past. Sometimes with apple instead of cherry, both are delicious. Love hearing that precious little Ira in the background.
That looks so wonderful!! I’m where you were not long ago with my mother in the hospital, so I’ve almost forgotten what real food tastes like. I got to come home for a little while, so I’m binge watching your videos 😊.
Our grocery store makes their own pies, other desserts, salads, soups, and sandwìches. Their prices are not too hiĝh, they hàve many sales and their food is délicious! At the moment, we are having chèrry pie with vanilla ice cream every night. Your dinner looked delicious as usual. Little Ira sounds so cute. Take care, Tipper and Matt, and don't work too hard!
I commented too soon. I bought a set of small dessert bowls and an 8" serving bowl in exactly the same pattern as your dessert plates as a Christmas gift for one of my nephews and his wife for Christmas. (I shop early!) Your dessert reminds me of the black cherry ice cream that is one of my favorite flavors.
Hi Tipper.....oh, supper looked delicious, I know it was ! I'm gonna try your receipe with rainier cherries, they are so good too. Hugs & blessing to you all, sweet little Ira's cries are just precious.
I love to see yall working together as a team. I loved it when Matt said “Go Team”❤. We have only ever had a rock salt ice cream maker. We still have it too but this one you are showing looks great!
I have the same ice cream maker. It makes good sherbet, as well. I’ve never made cherry crisp with fresh cherries before. I will, definitely, try that. I have some cherries in fridge, so today it is! Thank you Tipper and Matt! I love listening to Ira in the background!❤️🙏🇨🇦
Growing up I loved any dessert that had cherries especially cherry pie and cherry delight. My older brother still gives me a hard time and a good laugh about it though because no matter what type of cherry dessert it was or who made it or how many people ate a piece, I always got and was the only one to get a pit.
My daddy's 92nd birthday is this Thursday, June 27th. He loves peach cobbler, so I'm gonna make him one from scratch. I've got some frozen South Carolina peaches that will do just fine for it. I love fruit cobblers; they're so simple to make & Yummy!
The meal sounded so good & the dessert is something I would love to try. I noticed that you changed up the decoration above the sink. It looks good. The bounty will be overflowing now that the first has started coming in. Loved to hear Ira in the background! What a sweetheart he is!!
Enjoy your videos very much. Used to live in the northeast and then the southeast and now in the pacific northwest. I made the cube steak and it was delicious. Thank you very much.
The supper looked so delicious Tipper, and the Cherry Crisp sounded so good. I didn't grow up with mama making or using cherries, but I have bought some from the grocery store when in season, and they are pretty good when really ripe. I'm like you, I don't really know the difference in them. Sure hope we get some rain soon. It's so dry here in my area of NE Georgia. Haven't had rain in so long.
Nice looking meal! Loved it all! I didn’t want to see any comments before watching. I guess the next video will be about Corie & Austin’s little blessing. Ira wanted some ice cream! I absolutely adore your sweet & precious family! Hugs, kisses & prayers for sweet Granny! God bless y’all! 😀❤️🙏🏻
U Guys Always Rock! All the food U Guys made is so Welcoming. I miss that about being home when I was a Youngster. Left that Life after my Father passed away. I was only Fifteen years old. Ira's Crying just brings me to such Tears, I am Not Sure why. I wish that I could hold him for Comfort, but Babies do fret and cry at times. Sure wished that Catie was married and the Child had the comforts of a Father, but God is Good, maybe one day. Hurts my Heart. All the Food looks Delish Tipper and Matt, especially that Ice Cream. Thank U Guys for sharing, Keep Pushing!
Can´t wait to try that cherry crisp & try with other fruits too! Homemade icecream can be beat. Nice cucumber surprise 😊 Sweet hearing Ira in the background 😊 Edit: *homemade icecream CAN'T be beat* 😀

My family looooves fruit crisps. We even have them for breakfast and serve it in a bowl with milk as if we were having oatmeal. You could try it if there are leftovers. 😊
I thought baby was on the way too Sounds like a very good meal especially the ice cream Nice potatoes and cukes Umm roasted radishes and beans Cherry crisp sounds delish As usual y’all have have outdone yourself I have my cookbook ❤❤❤❤❤
Gosh that cobbler looked so good! I cooked a big meal using stuff from my little garden this evening. My Cherokee purples are ripening and delicious. I hadn't ever eaten one but when you and Matt said they were so good I thought I'd give it a try. I love them! God bless y'all.
Tipper, I got really lucky, I planted some cucumbers on a trellis and when I checked on them over the weekend I was pleasantly surprised to see your silver slicers. I didn’t plant them I guess they mixed up the seeds. Boy are they delicious.
Y’all’s cucumber’s look good. I have your cookbook so I need to make your crisp recipe. I have several apples, so I will make an apple crisp. Tipper, can I use fresh cherries from the store and just pit them. I love them fresh. Thank you for sharing.❤️✝️🙏
Tipper in Asia(Esp Korea) they take turnip leaves and dry them hanging up in the sun .Once dried they keep forever and use them in soups directly. Or rehydrate them in a bowl of hot water and add them to stir fry’s or anywhere you would put greens in cooking. You can also pickle the leaves and radishes too and use them anywhere you’d use pickles(pickled radishes and turnips are common in middle eastern cuisine and put in sandwiches with hummus and shish kebabs!)
I first ate apple crisp as a dessert that came with the plate lunches in school from 1st grade to senior year. As I remember, the melted butter was added to the dry ingredients before crumbling it over the apples. It was one of my favorite desserts in school. Mom-mom took walnut sized new potatoes, scraped off the skin with a paring knife, and turned them in an iron skillet in either lard or, in later years Crisco, until they were golden brown and crispy. We only had them for a couple of weeks after picking up potatoes. I have not eaten any in over forty years, since Pop-pop stopped making garden, but these fried whole potatoes, as Mom-mom called them, remain my favorite potato dish. I'm sure your roasted potatoes taste practically the same. My mouth is watering at the thought.

Matt does a good job with ice cream
Sitting on the ice cream churn as a 5 year old as my Papaw cranked is one of my fondest memories. Sucking on salt and ice. Priceless.

I grew bush cucumbers for the first time, they only get about 3-6 inches long, and they have really been producing. They have one main vine, and don't take up much room. I've been fighting the squash bugs early on by taking the waterhose sprayer and spraying the base of each plant, the squash bugs come right out. It works great! So glad they are doing good!
