Hello I want to change the RJ45 ethernet socket of my Uniview ip camera. Each of the 8 cores of the cable is multi-wire. It is not single-wire like Cat6. Can I make a Keystone jack to the multi-wire cable? Does the cable come out of its socket again?
I have a Swan camera and I need the color configuration to hook up my RJ45 connector for a 6 wire camera. The colors are purple,green/white,orange,green,orange/white, grey.

Whether it's single or multi-strand wire, the process should be the same! As long as you follow the steps in this video, you should be good.
