Hey Brother, I love the Brown knives, but I think the "Tops" knives are too much for too little. My family pioneered in TN. My great-grandfather was the first white man born in TN. William Russell-Bean. His mother, my great grandmother was Lydia Russell-Bean, was taken captive by the Cherokees. We founded Bean Town and Bean Tavern. Enjoy camping and hunting like you guys. Thanks for defending 2A. I got a Spanish version, Jeo-Tec too beautiful to use. This is 1/2 that knifes price. This seeems to be a beater ecd knife.

Dude thank you so much for sharing your family history! I absolutely loved reading all of that! I’m hoping to start a “pioneer” knife video soon!
This knife does a great job of your typical EDC stuff and you can make it razor sharp bc it’s a hollow grind! I agree that the tops stuff is crazy priced, you can buy 6 good knives for the price of one! Thank you so much for commenting and watching and sharing your history! I love my Tennessee and I hope to see more of you on the channel and in other videos!

I absolutely love my Weyland Tracker. Super versatile, I can throw it, chop with it, skin deer, baton, the list goes on. I highly recommend the Weyland Tracker, especially if you can’t afford the Utah Knife Works Tracker, or Russon Tracker, I’d definitely go with a Weyland. Don’t buy the Tops Tracker. I handle a knife differently than many inexperienced individuals, so it’s held up well. I think the biggest concern you will have giving it to students of your camp and it being issued repeatedly is … How it is sharpened. An inexperienced person can damage the gut hook quite easily so you may want to dedicate one person to sharpening (at least of that portion) of the blade(s)

I bought a budget Tracker off Amazon and broke it the first test I gave it. It was like $40 so it didnt really hurt my pockets, I sort of expected it to break however, i was not expecting it to break on the very first baton 😂 the thing chipped immediately. I was shook. Ive had gas station specials that were more heavy duty. The thing about tracker knives is at a glance they look crazy and tough, the notch serrations give it what I call Rambo knife syndrome. Anytime someone sees a knife with spine serrations they think theyre special forces now and look tough. The reality is if its not a Tops or Weyland, Tracker its probably gonna be trash. Warivo, GCS, Susa, poshland, any knife maker that advertises their knife as an art piece and not an actual tool is a red flag. If they push Damascus steel, another red flag. When cheap knives are advertised as Damascus, it really means they just threw together a bunch of cheap metals they found around the shop. So thats also a red flag for me. And this should go without saying but here i am saying it.. almost everything made in China is pretty much trash. Im not saying everything, but damn near enough for me to never trust something from china unless i get the metal tested and verified. They lie about their materials all the time. And they use trick advertising, sponsors that dont know shit about steel to promote their product. China, Lithuania, India, fucking scam centers of the world.

I actually find that 65mn steel holds and retain edge better than 1065.

An interesting observation! I think the closest think I have to 1065 is my BPS which is 1066, but I do think I have some Tomahawks that are 1065…

Hey Brother, thanks for the review. I've not taken the tracker plunge, but wanted to. So looking at reviews, I saw your avatar. Which automatically made me want to watch yours. We are truly brothers, Semper Fi! So being a Marine, I will take your words as truth. And by your drawl, I can expect we aren't too far apart on the redneck map. Ordering me one. Sub'd
