People always have an opinion: -Tag Heuer = they copy a seiko movement 😮 - Tudor= cheaper version of a rolex😒 -Breitling = uses ETA movements 🙄 -Omega = it wasn't the first watch in the moon 😑 -Rolex: Pathek Philippe is better has more history 😠 Blah blah .... You buy a watch because you like it and you like the brand.
Tudor's basis since it's foundation was actually being a cheeper version of a Rolex, and that was not created my modern ideas and social media, though some years ago they have shifted and became their own watch and have really changed the perspective. I actually prefer many Tudor designs over Rolex.
Thewaspski Tick Exactly. So if the movement is produced by ETA, it’s somehow inferior than a movement that is produced inhouse, regardless of which one actually is better? Then ALL Seiko’s are better than many Breitlings, Longines and Omegas, because Seiko produces all parts inhouse.
Good one Bruce, ignore others BS. Breitling makes a great product. My wife's uncle has worked in jewelry/Watches (master jeweler) for decades, he's rebuilt numerous watches/movement /brands. He's told me for years that Breitling is some of the best you can buy.
Great video Bruce. All that matters you like and enjoy it. Many focus too much on movements too. Great quality craftsmanship, lovely finishing, ETA movement, delivered at a certain price is absolutely fine. Reliable and cheaper to service too. I experience this all the time on my videos, apparently I wasted my money on my watches too :D
The watch is gorgeous. You paid a fair price for it. You love it... That's all that matters... End of story... Love your videos and I'm looking forward to the review of your beautiful new purchase. Take care bye for now.
Peter, well said. I appreciate the input. Working on gathering the pictures and video for the review. I'll spend some extra time on it to hopefully make it exciting to watch. Cheers!
Why do people drop a huge sum of money on something they don't plan on keeping for a long time? This depreciation argument is ridiculous. If you're not convinced you're going to keep it for a long time, don't buy it.
But why resell? You just invested a crap ton of money into something and are already having thoughts of resale? Why buy new in the first place then? I would never pay a high price for something I don't intend to keep for a long time. If you buy it used, this statement doesn't apply. My statement only applies to people buying new.
Great vid. Whats funny is most people, if not all, who are watch snobs who put down ETA watches, etc are people who cannot afford a Breitling, or any decent watch rather. People who are real watch enthusiasts and real watch connoisseurs are humble people and respect other people's watch buying decisions.
I know the anoraks are going to kill me for this, but I couldn't give a flying one what kind of movement my watch has. No-one ever sees it, and as long as it works and keeps good time, who cares? It's the case and the bracelet that matter, and if they're top notch, then it's worth every penny.
Hi Bruce, I have a Breitling Colt auto, which I bought new in 1997. I love it and would never sell it. I'm hoping to buy an Omega Seamaster 300M, or a Tudor Black Bay 58. Incidentally I've read somewhere on line, that Omega's Co -Axial movement is made for them by ETA. Interesting don't you think?
Always enjoy your videos and your comments. Just keep doing your thing, too many idiots around, we all like different things. I personally own a Breitling Superocean and I totally enjoy wearing it!
Couldn't agree with you more. I have a 6.7 inch wrist and I purchased a used, but in excellent condition, 46mm Heritage on the mesh bracelet. What a work of art! The polishing, the clear sapphire, the beautiful dial, and my favorite: the amazing looking mesh bracelet. I can't say enough.... for $2400 under retail and $1200 under gray market, I would do it again and I love it. Great video!
I'm fortunate to have several watches, including five Breitling models, but I don't play favorites. They are all quite amazing. The quality of each of my Breitlings is extremely high and I find them more to my liking than my Rolex GMT II. I don't concern myself with movements very much - I'll never see them or fiddle with the innards - and they are all accurate enough for me. Every Swiss and German brand is amazing. What I enjoy most about Breitling is their wide range of designs and that they truly seem to enjoy this business more than any other brand.
Been seriously thinking about grabbing a Transocean 1461. I think they may be phasing them out and it's so much watch for the money. Semi-perpetual calendar / moon phase /12hr chrono all on a beautifully symmetrical dial. So much to love. Any thoughts on that model?
Great vid Bruce!! I had a low end Breitling the Colt GMT. It was a great watch and I miss it alot! Breitling is a good brand in my book. The ETA is so easy to get serviced and the in house movement is Awesome! Top shelf for sure!! Two thumbs up brother!!
Thanks! I am no watch expert, but I bought a Breitling Avenger 2 Chronograph with a gorgeous blue dial for my brother's retirement. After seeing your video, I feel I made a good choice!
Great video! I just bought an Avenger Seawolf II and love it!! You hit the nail on the head with the bracelet and crystal. Great packing that includes that sweet leather travel case. Breitling's quality is very high and absolutely love the brand. Like you I also did my research and didn't pay retail so I am not worried about resale. Although gotta tell ya no reason I would want to resell this beautiful piece.
Love the enthusiasm! Right now I'm trying to decide between 2 Breitlings: An Avenger II chronograph (ETA-Valjoux) and a Chronomat chronograph (in-house B01). The price difference is 2000 dollars. It's driving me crazy! Both will be costly to service in the future -- the Chronomat more so. To me, the Chronomat is more beautiful... but so expensive! What to do?! Great video, mate!
Thanks Lloyd. Breitling quotes 690 for a full service for the Cal13 and 850 for the B01. Not a whole lot of difference. I'm really impressed with the B01 specs. Id say if overall cost was not an issue I would def go Chronomat.
Great video. Just bought a pre-owned Avenger Chrono titanium, my first Breitling. Not flashy, but it gives off quality rays, if you catch my drift. Extremely pleased.
I also love breitling! The wrist presence and shine is one of my favorite attributes. I own a colt ii A17380 and even friends and family who know nothing about watches always say it's one of the coolest watches they've seen. I love it to death and it's been around the world with me. I doubt I'll ever be able to get rid of it because of how many memories are associated with it. I enjoy putting it on my wrist every morning and going about my day!
Bruce I own an omega speedmaster, a Breitling galactic 41, and Rolex GMT. I would never let go of my Breitling. I love the design the most, since it’s underrated and I have never seen anyone wearing the same watch
Hi Bruce glad u love the watch I've always been interested in breitlings but never seen one liveSeeing as I've got 4 seikos and soon to be 5I'm going to check them out before I pull the pin on the mm300.I love the bling to man.lol
i have one colt quartz. I do not wear it verry often but sometimes. What i like of this watch is that when i putt it on second with my computer clock it will stay on second with my computer clock for years till the battery is out of order lol
At last a review that makes sense. Just buy what you like is so true. Could not agree more. I myself do not like omega's but I adore the 7 Breitling watches I own. I also really like Hublot but I know others hate them. It's all about individuals taste. Anyway great video well done. And remember folks be individual and unique.
Great video, I agree with you in that nobody should care about your purchase. We all value things differently. For example I have a Shinola Runwell, I’m fully away that the movement is a cheap one and that there is a markup but I love the design of the watch and frankly that’s my problem. I’ve had this watch for 7 years and I don’t regret it at all. I’m currently looking into a big upgrade and I’ve always been obsessed with Breitling because of their design and heritage. Do you man, screw what people think!
Great content, and a beautiful watch! I bought my Breitling last year ,a Super Avenger 2!Magnificent timepiece. Tried on an Omega Planet Ocean but the Breitling spoke to me more! Well wear with your beautiful watch!
Great speaker, very talented. I bought the avenger 2 43 automatic and watched your video many times for reference before my purchase, due to its similarity. I can't agree more with your analysis. I have not worn my submariner since buying this Breitling. I think Breitling makes the best cases/ bracelets. Pleasure to watch! Are you going to make the follow up video?
Great watch, Bruce. Nice review too! I bought the same watch 3 years and I'm glad I did. It also looks good on the black leather strap if you want to mix it up.
I have a 40mm colt and I find the bracelet to be too shiny for me. I can't decide to sell the watch, or get the bracelet brushed. The dial is amazing but the bling factor has me on the fence.
This subject couldn't of come at a better time. As i watch this video, i was just looking at a Super ocean heritage as i have high tier brands but never had a Breitling and its the only Breitling i like. Thanks for this one.
A cracking looking watch, never care about what anyone else thinks ! It is a gem. In my time I have owned three Breitlings and loved them. I only have my Chrono Avenger left but I hope one day to add another. And a great video as always !
Nice video Bruce. I bought my first Breitling recently (Chronospace Automatic) and bought it because I really love the watch/model. I didn't buy it to wear it and resell it later. A lot of the watch lovers out there couldn't understand that and kept trying to convince me I was making a bad choice. Your video sums up how I feel.
I heard once (this was before the 01 movement, though) that the ETA movement had about 50% of the movement modified. However you'd like to understand that.
Bruce, I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a big Breitling fan having purchased a 39mm white dial Chronomat new from a UK A.D back in 2003. It consistently remains my favourite piece in my extensive watch collection and has proven to be extremely accurate and high quality. Like you, I love the polished case and pilot bracelet which aren't scratch magnets as some say they are. Mine runs the Breitling Calibre 13 movement which is a highly modified and decorated ETA Valjoux 7750 COSC grade automatic chronograph. It consistently achieves COSC Chronometer accuracy between five year service intervals. Mine is the steel and 18ct gold model which to some is too blingy. Me? I think it has immense wrist presence and I appreciate this watch just as much now as I did when purchased 13 years ago. Wear yours with pride my friend!
Bruce, best channel on the net. I have been going back and forth between an Explorer 1 and a Breitling Nav or Chrono for a while and I just think a Breitling is a better value for someone who isn't looking to flip. May go the B01 at the end of the day
I have the Avenger 2 chronograph, black dial, it's such a beautiful watch, it is very large watch and has a lot of presence, but it is a watch everyone notices and admires, I can truly look at it every day and say it is a work of art, my first high end time piece, and one I am proud the own but even prouder to wear.
I did send my Breitling super avenger ii for service. I scratched the bracelet and I scratched the crown. When I sent it in. They told me what needs to be done. They did say they have to replace the hands. Being once pulled off you don’t want to put them back on. But wow when I got it back it was just like new. It cost under a grand for whole service. But worth it
I absolutely adore the breitling brand, with the rich aerospace and military heritage, even the John Travolta magazine ads are cool. I currently own the avenger ii seawolf. For me it is three watches in one, the Pro 3 steel bracelet for all occasions, the pro 3 rubber strap for casual and the leather for more formal occasions. A fantastic watch, with huge presence. My only criticism with the brand is the cheap and flimsy clasp used for all the pro 3 bracelets. It lets down a beautiful bracelet. It reminds me too much of the Tag Heuer F1 clasp. I don’t understand why breitling cannot manufacture a clasp with the thickness and sense of quality of the equivalent Omega or even Rolex oyster clasp.
Great video good job. thanks for making it You gave some good info. I never knew before. As a pilot I love these kinds of watches and I totally agree with you about everything! CHEERS, Kenny
Bruce hi, One thing i believe you haven't mentioned on Breitling is their capacity to take all sorts of abuse. I have owned a chronoracer rattrapant for 16 years now and i am still amazed at the punishment it has withstood. Shocks, exposure to instant changes in temperature (from 45C degrees dive into cold waters!!) as well as continuously surpassing the recommended water exposure (it's a 30m watch which according to Breitling means splass-proof but i've dived to 5-6m on numerous occasions!!) I've seen other brands (won't name call here) with similar rating take water in the dial at less depth... So if you're an outdoors/active person and don't want to leave your watch behind every time you go on a trip/adventure/holiday or sport in all conditions, then a Breitling is as dependable as they come and then some.- Oh, and your video is spot on mate, well done. George
20+ years with my Breitling Colt (A17035). Wear it every day, runs great, looks great. Only requires cleaning once every few years. Best watch I have ever owned.
To my knowledge Breitling is the only watchmaker who makes watches that the wearers can depend on in a situation to save their lives with their Emergency watch model. It does show they are ahead of their time in watchmaking technology. Correct me if am wrong.
Yeah... No. Marathon and Victorinox, for example, make watches for soldiers and rescue forces. The flight watch was a tool relied upon by their pilots. Maritime watches were a necessary tool for navigation, that entire fleets relied upon... Breitling isn't the only one.
Love the video ! Buy what you like that's the bottom line ! Also if we all worry about resale we are never going to buy watches we actually like, great points on the modified eta valid points I've owned breitling in the past and can't really fault there watches really well made,I also noticed you sold your black bay which I own so does that mean I must stop watching your channel lol😂 of course not we like different watches for different reasons and it's OK to change from time to time.enjoy the breitling and keep up the great work.
Love my modern Navitimer sporting the new in house B01 movement. This caliber of movement you don't see until you get to the highest Tier of watches, eg. Patek. Yet they are much beefier and more robust than the top tier watch brands...they can be pounded and hammered and will take the beating, not like these delicate top tier watches, beautiful finish yet can't take any bumps or bruises..they break. The B01 is one tough SOB.
fantastic watch and a fantastic video of my friend. and I totally agree with you I've never understood why some people give other people grief over this stuff.
I got the same criticism with my Panerai... "It's going to tank in value" "you'll take a bath when you sell it" etc. I did exactly what you mention in your vid, bought preowned and at the right price, if they continue to depreciate I will loose a couple of dollars but I'm ok with that, I didn't eat the initial/mayor depreciation. I also got the "it's too big" speech but at 42mm it feels great on my wrist. The funny thing is that I've been getting the opposite criticism regarding the ETA movement, my PAM has an in-house movement and so many people have told me I should've bought and ETA model because it's cheaper to service and Panerai is going to rip me a new one when it's time to get it serviced... regardless of what you buy haters are going to hate. Enjoy your Breitling brother, it's a great watch and it makes you happy! Great vid Bruce, thanks for sharing!
lol its so true! People dog on ETA, then a week later dog on the in house variant. Its getting ridiculous. I love your Panerai bro, hope you enjoy it as long as you have it and if its sacraficed for getting a grail that's okay!
Congratulations! I love your watch in particular out of all the Breitling models! I'm a violinist and while I was taking my undergrad one of the masters who was hired as a guest teacher from the Toronto Symphony wore a Super Avenger, and from that moment I'll always look at a Breitling and know they are part of the magnificent Swiss watch brands that are worn by some of the greatest people including one of my favorite violinists. Enjoy every moment with your watch! Cheers!
I agree with most everything said here but lets not pretend a full service doesn't cost £640.00 at breitling, I had that and the glass redone on my super avenger II recently and it cost £895 so be aware that servicing (full) is not cheap.
I have bough a 2000 Chronomat GT due to my small wrist size. And I'm very, very happy with the Schneider era Breitlings. Even no watch people recognise it immediately ...
Classic! Totally agree with you. Breitling gives you probably the best bang for the buck in the market in a honest way. I feel way more comfortable with a Breitling on my wrist than I'd feel with superficial brands like Hublot or Tag for example. Besides, Breitlings are hard as a rock ;)
Disagree with your choice of Breitling but totally AGREE with your choice that we all have our own tastes and your watch is completely a legit watch. I have a Bell & Ross that gets similar hatred sometimes but I love it. It's perfect for ME. And that Breitling (while not for everyone) is perfect for you!
Cool, can you let me know which brands or models are doing that? I've yet to find a brand outside Breitling or vintage that consistently does a true 3, 5, or 7 piece bracelet
4 years late to the party on this video. It's a great looking watch! They make mostly nice watches, great finishing and quality, some models are just a little loud for me, but they make a few models I really like. Anyway, I know you sold this one but it looks like it was a great experience while you had it.
People always have an opinion:
-Tag Heuer = they copy a seiko movement 😮

You buy a watch because you like it and you like the brand.
YEP..ALL I EVER HEAR FOR ROLEXS IS HOW THEIR RESALE VALUE IS BUT AS ESTHETICALLY AND INNOVATED NOT SO MUCH IN MY WHEELHOUSE.
Hmm what’s wrong with ETA movement either way, it’s cheaper to service, easy and cheap to get parts and etc. agreed?
Tudor's basis since it's foundation was actually being a cheeper version of a Rolex, and that was not created my modern ideas and social media, though some years ago they have shifted and became their own watch and have really changed the perspective. I actually prefer many Tudor designs over Rolex.
@@thewaspskitick4765 Totally!

Bought my first Breitling last week, a "Superocean II 42" and I Love it.
Superoceans 2 are my most worn watches for sure. Especially the abyss,👍
The fact is most people who buy a watch will never sell it.
No way, I change watches like every month lol
Good one Bruce, ignore others BS. Breitling makes a great product. My wife's uncle has worked in jewelry/Watches (master jeweler) for decades, he's rebuilt numerous watches/movement /brands. He's told me for years that Breitling is some of the best you can buy.

So true man I'm getting one soon
Great video Bruce. All that matters you like and enjoy it. Many focus too much on movements too. Great quality craftsmanship, lovely finishing, ETA movement, delivered at a certain price is absolutely fine. Reliable and cheaper to service too.
I experience this all the time on my videos, apparently I wasted my money on my watches too :D
Lol! Its funny how other people are concerned about how you make your own financial choices for your hobbies. Cheers Dave
Cheers!
Be right back......going to buy a Breitling
Do it!
hahaha
Why do people drop a huge sum of money on something they don't plan on keeping for a long time? This depreciation argument is ridiculous. If you're not convinced you're going to keep it for a long time, don't buy it.

Like why do people buy cars?
GEES44DC you sound like a broke @$$
that's because Bruce is a flipper...
Breitlings look so steampunky and Art Deco to me. Love It! Totally want one
I bought a Breitling Colt 41 with stainless steel bracelet. I also added a black leather, white stitch. Looks awesome!
Best thing about Breitling is the AR coating. I love how they lay it on thick. The more AR the better!
Great vid. Whats funny is most people, if not all, who are watch snobs who put down ETA watches, etc are people who cannot afford a Breitling, or any decent watch rather. People who are real watch enthusiasts and real watch connoisseurs are humble people and respect other people's watch buying decisions.
what is wrong with an ETA? Nothing.....fantastic movement that can be serviced by anyone with any reasonable ability.
I know the anoraks are going to kill me for this, but I couldn't give a flying one what kind of movement my watch has. No-one ever sees it, and as long as it works and keeps good time, who cares? It's the case and the bracelet that matter, and if they're top notch, then it's worth every penny.
Well done. Enjoy your watch. I would be keen to know, if the Navitimer 8 carries the same quality regarding bracelet and crystal.
Yes, I saw one recently and it was great
Bruce Williams thanks!

Glad I saw this video. I have been eyeing a SuperOcean Heritage 42mm for a little while now. Seriously considering one sooner than later. Great video!
Thanks man. SOH 42 is a sweet model. Tried on a few times
I've never owned a Breitling but I think they make great watches. Take care.
Thanks man, I am a fan now for sure

Beautiful watch! Great video Bruce.
Thanks!
Thank you. Contemplating on getting a Colt or an Avenger, so this helps give me confidence in the brand.
Excellent video and fabulous watch! You have inspired me to get a Breitling for my watch collection. Two thumbs up!
Thanks man!
They’re not ALL ETA movements are they? I just bought a avenger hurricane. I don’t think it’s a n ETA movement.
Agreed.. btw what is that Mech robot on you shelf? looks damn good...
A lego ideas set from a couple years ago
Great vid Bruce!! I had a low end Breitling the Colt GMT. It was a great watch and I miss it alot! Breitling is a good brand in my book. The ETA is so easy to get serviced and the in house movement is Awesome! Top shelf for sure!! Two thumbs up brother!!
Thanks man! I was tempted by the new Colt 41. Only around 10mm tall- looked really nice in person
Thanks! I am no watch expert, but I bought a Breitling Avenger 2 Chronograph with a gorgeous blue dial for my brother's retirement. After seeing your video, I feel I made a good choice!

ETA can be serviced by most watch makers. ETA is not a bad movement. Inhouse movement on watches is a bit hyped.
I owe the new Breitling Avenger GMT 45 for 2 weeks and I adore it, wear it 24/7 for the rest of my life ;-)
Love the enthusiasm! Right now I'm trying to decide between 2 Breitlings: An Avenger II chronograph (ETA-Valjoux) and a Chronomat chronograph (in-house B01). The price difference is 2000 dollars. Avenger is a really good watch, I bought one and Iam not disappointed.
Carefully resetting the second, follow instructions before you do that. They're perfect watches. Sufisticated watch.
Great video. Just bought a pre-owned Avenger Chrono titanium, my first Breitling. Not flashy, but it gives off quality rays, if you catch my drift. Extremely pleased.
As an owner of a SuperOcean 44, I share your enthusiasm
Well said . I love my chronograph chronomat . Keeping the time for 29 years and its mint. Love it
beanzntoast No service on it? Just curious. I have an Avenger ll chronograph two years old. - And like it a lot 😎🇩🇰
I also love breitling! The wrist presence and shine is one of my favorite attributes. Hi Bruce.. greetings from Brazil. Would buy for everyday use a Breitling Colt 41 or a Pmega Seamaster Diver 300???
Anastase Papoortzis whichever you like more! I like the Breitling myself
Not same level.Colt is entry level, and seamaster is higher level of that colt.
Hi Bruce glad u love the watch I've always been interested in breitlings but never seen one liveSeeing as I've got 4 seikos and soon to be 5I'm going to check them out before I pull the pin on the mm300.I love the bling to man.lol
Nobody does the bling quite like Breitling too :) Which Seiko is incoming?
Hi Bruce I decided to get the sdgm001 just love the cream dial
Robert Spinks excellent!
i have one colt quartz. I do not wear it verry often but sometimes. What i like of this watch is that when i putt it on second with my computer clock it will stay on second with my computer clock for years till the battery is out of order lol

Bruce,
Liked your video and your message. Breitling is a great brand, but most importantly, you love this piece.
Wear in good health sir.
Best,
Scott
Thanks Scott!

I bought my Breitling last year ,a Super Avenger 2!Magnificent timepiece.
Tried on an Omega Planet Ocean but the Breitling spoke to me more!
Well wear with your beautiful watch!
I own a 1965 TopTime. Gold cushion, black panda dials. It has never let me down, super accurate, still beautiful.
Hi, may I ask you what is the best and reliable online store for pre owned watches? Thank you
Great speaker, very talented.
Please make more Breitling videos also!!
i like the watch but i reckon it should have some brushed pieces, there's just too much chrome
Great watch, Bruce. Nice review too! I bought the same watch 3 years and I'm glad I did. It also looks good on the black leather strap if you want to mix it up.
Luke Fellows sweet, thanks man 👍
But you sold it?
Luke Fellows yes I traded this and a Quartz Seamaster for a 16570 explorer 2. Loved the Breitling though, looking forward to another from the brand
Hey Bruce do you still own it? If so do you still like it? I like their super quartz
I have a 40mm colt and I find the bracelet to be too shiny for me. I can't decide to sell the watch, or get the bracelet brushed. The dial is amazing but the bling factor has me on the fence.
I hear you. Some people love it and some don't. My only comment would be if your considering re-selling it a non factory finish turns some buyers off
Thanks. I am aware of that. For resale, it's best I leave it alone.
Couldn't agree with you more, just love my Breitling Chronomat Evo and it truly make's me happy each time I gaze at it. It's a wonder
I absolutely love your videos man. Keep it up!
I love hearing things like that, thanks!
This subject couldn't of come at a better time. As i watch this video, i was just looking at a Super ocean heritage as i have high tier brands but never had a Breitling and its the only Breitling i like. Thanks for this one.
I'll be honest, I am a sucker for the SOH blue on polished mesh!
A cracking looking watch, never care about what anyone else thinks ! It is a gem.
In my time I have owned three Breitlings and loved them. I only have my Chrono Avenger left but I hope one day to add another. And a great video as always !
Always I meant to add
Thanks man. I'm looking forward to more in the future as well
Beautiful watch, a very good choice. I have just bought a Chronomat 44. What a watch lovely.
Awesome review...hey bro what do you think about breitling colt skyracer superquartz?
Rakesh Raul hi i bought one about 4 weeks ago and i love it If you can afford it give it a try
I heard once (this was before the 01 movement, though) that the ETA movement had about 50% of the movement modified. However you'd like to understand that.
I know they modify and upgrade all the most important parts like the balance, the hairspring, and the shock protection system
which model is your favorite? i am borderline between rolex and breitling. honestly this video is pulling me away from a rolex, great job!
I like so many of thier models. GMT Avenger 2 still probably my favorite.
And as you've found, the AR coating on the domed Sapphire is second to none!
For sure. Its so nice
I like how you refrence Archer in the begining. He would say why did you buy this thing haha. I have a breitling to a navitmer and I love it!
Gorgeous piece!!!!! 👌 Absolutely loving it!! Can't wait for the review 👍👍👍
But worth it
I own a Breitling that my dad handed down to me. His old 1960 765 AVI. I love that watch and will keep it until it is time for me to hand it down.
i am currently wearing my Breitling Aerospace titanium and loving it.
Bruce hi,
One thing i believe you haven't mentioned on Breitling is their capacity to take all sorts of abuse.
I have owned a chronoracer rattrapant for 16 years now and i am still amazed at the punishment it has withstood.
Shocks, exposure to instant changes in temperature (from 45C degrees dive into cold waters!!) as well as continuously surpassing the recommended water exposure (it's a 30m watch which according to Breitling means splass-proof but i've dived to 5-6m on numerous occasions!!)
I've seen other brands (won't name call here) with similar rating take water in the dial at less depth...
So if you're an outdoors/active person and don't want to leave your watch behind every time you go on a trip/adventure/holiday or sport in all conditions, then a Breitling is as dependable as they come and then some.-
Oh, and your video is spot on mate, well done.
George
George Velentzas excellent comment and well said!
Love breitling hate that the avenger line just got the in house movement while the super avenger I have has an 7750 by eta
What model is it?
20+ years with my Breitling Colt (A17035). Wear it every day, runs great, looks great. Only requires cleaning once every few years. Best watch I have ever owned.
What model do u wear in this vid?
To my knowledge Breitling is the only watchmaker who makes watches that the wearers can depend on in a situation to save their lives with their Emergency watch model. It does show they are ahead of their time in watchmaking technology.
Correct me if am wrong.
PAK CHANNEL you're wrong
Yeah... No. Marathon and Victorinox, for example, make watches for soldiers and rescue forces. The flight watch was a tool relied upon by their pilots. Maritime watches were a necessary tool for navigation, that entire fleets relied upon...
Breitling isn't the only one.
Breitling does some outstanding AR coating on their crystals. Makes the crystal disappear completely under most lighting.
Love the video ! Buy what you like that's the bottom line ! Also if we all worry about resale we are never going to buy watches we actually like, great points on the modified eta valid points I've owned breitling in the past and can't really fault there watches really well made,I also noticed you sold your black bay which I own so does that mean I must stop watching your channel lol😂 of course not we like different watches for different reasons and it's OK to change from time to time.enjoy the breitling and keep up the great work.
lol I bet I've actually lost many subs cause I've sold so many of the watches I've raved about on this channel! Great comment though
Breitling has always been my favorite watch brand. GO NAVITIMER!
Same ! Aviation stuff uff
Whats a good price for this watch if purchased pre-owned?
On bracelet in good condition around 2200-2400
Love my modern Navitimer sporting the new in house B01 movement. This caliber of movement you don't see until you get to the highest Tier of watches, eg. Patek. Yet they are much beefier and more robust than the top tier watch brands...they can be pounded and hammered and will take the beating, not like these delicate top tier watches, beautiful finish yet can't take any bumps or bruises..they break. The B01 is one tough SOB.
fantastic watch and a fantastic video of my friend. and I totally agree with you I've never understood why some people give other people grief over this stuff.
So true. And its opened my eyes a bit. If someone likes a Tag or Hublot.. lol good for them! Its not my wrist or money
Breitling is my favourite watch brand out of all! It is the history and aviation DNA behind it that make Breitling so special.
Bought my Navitimer B01 today. My first Breitling. Only one bucket list item remaining!
Beautiful watch. I own a breitling chronomat. Love it. It sure will last
Good for You..! I enjoy my Breitlings as much as my Rolexes. Enjoy your new purchase with Health..!! Congrats
Thanks, I appreciate that
I got the same criticism with my Panerai...
Good review Bruce as always!
Cheers!
Thats really interesting thanks for sharing! I love the entire Avenger line, very cool models
I agree with most everything said here but lets not pretend a full service doesn't cost £640.00 at breitling, I had that and the glass redone on my super avenger II recently and it cost £895 so be aware that servicing (full) is not cheap.
Is that a 41mm?
I have bough a 2000 Chronomat GT due to my small wrist size. And I'm very, very happy with the Schneider era Breitlings. Even no watch people recognise it immediately ...
After this am wearing my avenger tomorrow.
Classic! Totally agree with you. Breitling gives you probably the best bang for the buck in the market in a honest way.
I feel way more comfortable with a Breitling on my wrist than I'd feel with superficial brands like Hublot or Tag for example.
Besides, Breitlings are hard as a rock ;)
Yes, I'm really digging the brand
Disagree with your choice of Breitling but totally AGREE with your choice that we all have our own tastes and your watch is completely a legit watch.
I have a Bell & Ross that gets similar hatred sometimes but I love it. It's perfect for ME. And that Breitling (while not for everyone) is perfect for you!
Yeah, its gotten a bit ridiculous imo. We all have different tastes. Lets enjoy what speaks to us- forget the rest :)
Hello, can anyone say which exact model is this to see on amazon or in somewhere else?
Breitling Avenger II GMT (A32390111B1A1)
@@laszloszentirmai2280 thank you!!
I believe the construction of the bracelet is pretty standard. Many brands have 3 piece bracelets, and some have 5 piece bracelets.
Cool, can you let me know which brands or models are doing that? I've yet to find a brand outside Breitling or vintage that consistently does a true 3, 5, or 7 piece bracelet
My Superocean Heritage II now comes with Breitling's own in-house movement. Love it!
4 years late to the party on this video. It's a great looking watch! They make mostly nice watches, great finishing and quality, some models are just a little loud for me, but they make a few models I really like. Anyway, I know you sold this one but it looks like it was a great experience while you had it.
