Breitling is a god tier brand when it comes to designing chronograph watches. They are masters at combining vivid colors and manufacturing something elegant and FIRE 🔥
Understandable, but most watches aren’t great at retaining value. I have a Breitling Colt 41 with a beautiful detailed blue dial. It is mostly brushed, has the iconic Breitling touches like the rider tabs, slanted linked professional bracelet, COSC ETA movement that will be easy to service and I purchased new for $1975 grey market. At this price it’s an amazing watch that looks and wears great. I think Breitling grey or second market offer tremendous value. Love my Breitling, first “nice” watch and will always be a part of my collection.
Brilliant overview Teddy. Please do more of these for other brands. Really helpful with navigating some of the larger brands with lots of categories within categories
I have a 46mm Navitimer with the dark green dial. It has almost convinced me to never buy any other brand. The basic Navitimer design has just been refined so much over the years, my wife actually called this busy honker of a watch "elegant". And the green dial is really what sold me on it - I've never seen a dial like this from any other brand. You can definitely see it in the stock footage in this video - there's just something different about Breitling's dials. In person even moreso, Breitlings just make every other watch look cheap. I will say that I had initially considered a GMT Navitimer because I don't really need a chronograph, but you are correct that a $500 ETA movement in a $5,000 watch is kind of a tough sell. It becomes a question of what you're actually paying for in that case. At least with the B01, I understand that I'm paying for a complete in-house design of a full watch; not just the case and assembly. Even though the B01 is more expensive, it actually feels like better value, and it's just more satisfying to know that I'm wearing a full, 100% Breitling watch.
You are wrong about the movement, first because the better eta movements with chronometer specs are really very good and can be serviced by almost any watchmaker. It is a genuine swiss movement, made in a swiss factory (just in my neighborhood). This said, the new breitling movements are nice too. But do they add a lot of value to the watch? Not for me...
I’m one who is perfectly fine with standard based calibers. In-house is nice, but they get expensive both to purchase and to service, and they tend to be thicker than ETA-Sellita based calibers. What I want for a next watch would be the Breitling Top Time Thunderbird. It just speaks to me. 😎🏎️
Incorrect. Breitling's watches that use generic Sellita movements cost even more than In-house movements from other brands, like Tudor for example. Breitling is saving money by using off the shelf, basic, 3rd party movements - they just aren't passing the savings to you, they are ripping you off.
Teddy - I just bought the mint green Navitimer - appreciate you showcasing this model. Breitling is not only a historical icon, they are just plain beautiful. Our boutique in Savannah, Georgia is an authorized AD for the brand, (13 Secrets) and this video is a wonderful "training video: - Thank you so much!
Love the brand! My top 3 of all time to own are Navitimer 1959 ReEdition tied with Navitimer 43 Ice blue, Superocean Heritage B17 42 steel bezel 1st gen, and Breitling Aerospace Avantage White or Blue Dial!
Recently Purchased the Superocean Heritage , 42mm. Absolutely Love it. Thank you Teddy for a very Informative Video on an Iconic Watch Brand with loads of History.
That Emergency model Breitling was talked about on the Shawn Ryan podcast. Eric Prince, the former SEAL who formed the contracting group formerly known as Black Water. He stated that he ordered like 150 of them for his top personnel in the company and one of them was used once by a guy on an expedition that went awry. They were apparently not able to get help through whatever means they had with them and had to use that beacon on the watch to signal help. Very interesting.
Ball would be interesting because back when they were an American pocket watch brand, they didn't make their own watches. Those railroad chronometers from Ball were made by Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois, and Waltham. Webb C Ball had a jewelry shop in Cleveland, Ohio.
I love my Breitling pistachio premier chronograph! It fits my style perfectly. Thanks Teddy, it was you shopping with Kevin O'Leary that convinced me to pull the trigger on the purchase.
I bought a ColtOcean from1999, it was not in the best condition, dirty, scratched etc. I sent it to Breitling, it cost about £450 for a full service and polish. It came back looking like new, it's quartz and loses less than five seconds a year. They are seriously good quality watches.
This was superb. Which brands to do next? Rolex, Omega, Grand Seiko, JLC. lol good luck. You could do a 5-hour documentary on each if you were so inclined and had the requisite resources.
i just bought a breitling Superocean Heritage Chronograph 44. In Green, Brilliant watch, wish they did a 45mm but I also tried on the breitling performance watches and they were basically just plastic.
Owned an 806 Navitimer from 1972 but the hand of the minute counter kept falling off. After 3 costly repairs I just decided it had to go. Own a SuperOcean Heritage 46 which is awesome. Have it for over 15 years and it does not disappoint. Love the brand, love the watches.
My Aerospace, purchased well used, is still my favorite. Titanium is very lightweight, bracelet very comfortable, despite its age, wear still bare noticeable.
My first “luxury” purchase was the previous gen Breitling Superocean with a white dial. Bold and contemporary with strap versatility. Keeps great time and looks the part. My favorite watch
Bought a navitimer 92. Haven't got my hands on it yet but it should arrive in two weeks. Wanted it when I first saw it on TV when it came out. Navitimer has always been my dream watch, all the Omegas, Tudors and Ulysse Nardins along the way never felt right. They are awesome but never had the feeling of wow this is it.
I've been looking at Breitling for a long time for my first major watch. I have a Tissot T-touch Titanium, but I don't have a nicer timepiece. Thanks for the video, it's what I've been waiting for.
Another cool thing about Breitling is their willingness to design and manufacture custom unit watches. Although omega and tudor will produce them they have much more stringent requirements in terms of quantity and entity they are willing to work with. I have seen some of their work and the unit dial logos and caseback engravings are really impressive. Recently ordered one myself. The process takes quite a long time but it is worth it.
My colt black steel chronometer is my favorite, i have nearly daily worn this watch and beat it to death and it still keeps going and looking awesome. Lost a bit if lume on the 12 bezel but man i love it.
I always considered breitling to be too big for my smaller wrist, but tried on a 2013 navitimer the other day, was shocked at how much it worked for me
I appreciate clean, elegant, sophisticated, and timeless-looking pieces. When Breitling achieves this style, I believe they make watches as good as any brand in the world. I currently own the Superocean Heritage B20 42mm with a black dial and black leather strap, as well as the Chronomat GMT with a white dial, and I love them both. Next on my list is the Premier B01 Chronograph with the panda dial from a few years ago.

Yes! Please continue! Sinn, Iwc, Panerai, Oris, JLC, Longines, Cartier,
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MAMACOO and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Thank you for your insights and recommendations regarding Breitling watches. You covered quite a of bit history and subject matter in just under 3, 2, 1, 21:11!
Hi Teddy, the Tutima M2 NATO chronographs are unique and would love to see more reviews of these as well as their full range of watches. Cheers, Roger.
Please do a Grand Seiko brand deep dive. Also, how about doing a pilot watches comparison between Breitling and IWC? My son is a US Navy pilot, and I like to get him a pilot watch.
Teddy...if you think of it, consider doing a story on Wakmann(?) I've owned a vintage chron model for most of my life. It was a bargan to buy new, and is incredibly will made. It's a kind of cousin to Breitling the way Toyota is to Lexus! Has a pretty cool story.
❤ really appreciate the info, will look at Breitling more kindly, lost my dad recently, his wife left me his watch, never took an interest in watches till now. 👍😊🌏🐬 cheers teddy.keep them coming.
A solid brand that makes solid watches. Their RRPs are bit high, but getting a decent discount is usually possible from an AD. Owned a Chronomat GMT and a previous generation SuperOcean 42 for a while now - really enjoy both of them.
AMZWATCH is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
I always assumed they're more for larger, louder, more active guys than me, but I was shocked to love Superocean Heritage 57 and 41mm, 3-hand Navitimers. I also didn't realize they do some environmentally friendly stuff. Maybe some day!
The brand that when I was young I went to the jewerly shops with my dad and it was hes favorite in the 90s! 2000's they are really cool looking watches!
I love this, Teddy. I'm in the minority of sketchy watch lovers who absolutely favors Breitling, and that's cool with me. So thank you so much, I got my Breitlingasm. I've been a fan of Breitilng since I was a late teen in the early 00's, and just last year I bought my Navitimer. It was my first ever watch, and what I thought would be my grail watch. First time seeing the Top Time Zorro, very cool😎👍 my personal favorites from the brand so far are the top time triumph ice blue, and the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43mm Copper dial.👏👏
Wow. Just wow. This video was an EXCELLENT breakdown.
Yes please continue doing deep dives like tis into major brands. Super informative Teddy!
That would be great! I would love the same overview for Omega watches!!!
Breitling is a god tier brand when it comes to designing chronograph watches. They are masters at combining vivid colors and manufacturing something elegant and FIRE 🔥
Absolutely 💯 correct
Unfortunately they are poor value for money

@@michaelriera6277 sure, but at retail they are poor value for money when compared to Tudor for example. No doubt that they make great watches though.
Wear your damn watch if you are flipping it for cash go buy a damn rolex
I’d like to see this on Tudor, LONGINES, Nomos, Omega. Great info!!
Seconded.

I have that movement in my Tudor Panda, really impressive movement, love it.
If it uses an ETA, you are getting hosed. It’s akin to buying a Ferrari with a mustang engine
I greatly enjoy Teddy's "Cliff Notes" history lessons of watches and watch makers. Well researched and wonderfully presented.
I love it when Teddy puts on his "Professor Horologius" hat and does a deep dive into Watch History. Have you done IWC yet?
He doesn’t sell them jajaaj 😂 so no IWC
These are my favorite kind of Teddy videos
I’m one who is perfectly fine with standard based calibers. In-house is nice, but they get expensive both to purchase and to service, and they tend to be thicker than ETA-Sellita based calibers. What I want for a next watch would be the Breitling Top Time Thunderbird. It just speaks to me. 😎🏎️

I sure would save a lot of money if I would stay off of the internet.

Thanks Teddy. Excellent review of the Breitling catalogue. Would love to see similar reviews of other watch brands
Love the brand! My top 3 of all time to own are Navitimer 1959 ReEdition tied with Navitimer 43 Ice blue, Superocean Heritage B17 42 steel bezel 1st gen, and Breitling Aerospace Avantage White or Blue Dial!
Great video young man 👍
“You’re not gonna scratch that Breitling itch elsewehere”, good point this!
Loved this! Can you make this type ion video for some of the others? Omega, Rolex etc...
If im not mistaken he did one on Longines. I agree that he should do more
Breitlings are always close to my heart, dad had a Chronomat and passed it to me, unfortunately I lost when I moved overseas.
Sorry you lost your dad overseas.
I have a Breitling Bentley Racing GT . Warning a service will cost a lot of money . But it’s a very nice watch
Recently Purchased the Superocean Heritage , 42mm. Absolutely Love it. Thank you Teddy for a very Informative Video on an Iconic Watch Brand with loads of History.

Saw one on eBay the other week for like $25,000 I think lol. Pretty cool watch.
Shawn is a top tier interviewer
Teddy is the best! This video shows his knowledge and expertise. Respect!
Loving the brand deep dives. I'd love to see Ball next.
Ball would be interesting because back when they were an American pocket watch brand, they didn't make their own watches. Those railroad chronometers from Ball were made by Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois, and Waltham. Webb C Ball had a jewelry shop in Cleveland, Ohio.
Great video! The Chronomat 36 though should've had a mention because it's a wonderful little piece in the catalogue, and that green is incredible
Ive been a sales at breitling boutique for 3 years.. love the brand🎉
Love em but they're overpriced
You just sold me on breitling, they always seemed too flashy for me. Now they look different to me.
I love my Breitling pistachio premier chronograph! It fits my style perfectly. Thanks Teddy, it was you shopping with Kevin O'Leary that convinced me to pull the trigger on the purchase.

I loved learning about Breitling! Would be amazing to see a similar video for Zenith and Oris.
IWC!... new to watch appreciation and looking to buy. Almost settled on the Navitimer
I own 3 Breitlings, love them!
Good looking,work well cost alot!!
Excellent video Teddy. Great info on all of these amazing Breitlings!
I would love to own a Breitling watch one day. Amazing timepieces... Nice video Teddy!😍😍
i just bought a breitling Superocean Heritage Chronograph 44. In Green, Brilliant watch, wish they did a 45mm but I also tried on the breitling performance watches and they were basically just plastic.
Please continue your series with the Omega line.
An Omega overview would be awesome!!! 😍

I've been looking at Breitling for a long time for my first major watch. I have a Tissot T-touch Titanium, but I don't have a nicer timepiece. Thanks for the video, it's what I've been waiting for.
Yes please for IWC & Longines (just got the Zulutime 39mm Green)
Thank you for telling the full story of Breitling and for explaing the main collection of the brand. Could you do that with Longines ?
I'm a big Breitling fan - thanks for a great video that captures the essence of the brand!
They have character. Don't necessarily like them but I appreciate that they are really recognizable
Please IWC. Love the brand but dont know of its history and catalogue (besides the big pilot).
Loved the video! Please do more! Any brand will do lol but would love to hear more on Grand Seiko 😁
I love this deep dive into the history of Breitling. My only criticism is that I feel the video was rushed a bit, Teddy just seems to speak quickly.
LOL He has a lot of energy.
Change playback to .75 speed.

Teddy…I don’t believe there’s a more knowledgeable person on earth when it comes to watches.
Exceptional presentation, very well done!
I always considered breitling to be too big for my smaller wrist, but tried on a 2013 navitimer the other day, was shocked at how much it worked for me
Thank you sir. Your vids and quality are top notch
I have a superOcean heritage daydate chrono 44mm and it’s been a fantastic watch. Highly recommend!

Sinn, Iwc, Panerai, Oris, JLC, Longines, Cartier,
PANERAI Next!! Loved this video!
Fantastic, educational video Teddy! I think the brand is so under valued considering the icons they have contributed ot the industry.
What a whirlwind review of a huge brand.
Well done!
I love the idea of an emergency watch. I’d constantly be tempted to pull the string
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MAMACOO and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
No mention on the Skipper? Arguably one of the most beautiful Breitling watches out there. That rose gold is chef's kiss!
Own 2, technically 3, Breitlings my self. Just picked up a new SuperOcean rainbow dial a few days ago. Nice video Teddy!
I own 2 of their limited edition watches and love them both. Will no doubt go back for a 3rd.
Nice to see a video about my favorite watch brand. Thanks!
Took 2 years to find my one of 500 Navitimer but I finally got my grail watch so I'm good now.
I love the madness of the new Aero with hot orange dial and piece of balloon in the caseback. It’s nuts. But looks crazy good.
Thank you for your insights and recommendations regarding Breitling watches. You covered quite a of bit history and subject matter in just under 3, 2, 1, 21:11!
Huge Breitling fan but I have a small wrist so I am hoping one day they bring back the SuperOcean Heritage 38mm
Thank you. More please.
I have a Speedy Pro and a Breitling Superocean II 42 on a NATO. I love the combo!
Please let’s do a series like this but on Tudor and Omega

The SuperOcean 42 do wear small, I have one on a 16.5cm wrist and it goes well as the lug to lug is small. Agree they do Chronometers very well.
Awesome video Teddy! Learned a lot. Thx man & keep going
Great piece, Teddy, on a par with the Longines one. Deff keep them coming! How about F Constant next?
A solid brand that makes solid watches. Their RRPs are bit high, but getting a decent discount is usually possible from an AD. Owned a Chronomat GMT and a previous generation SuperOcean 42 for a while now - really enjoy both of them.
My fave Breitling is the Pro Aerospace B70 Orbiter Orange Titanium! Love it!1
I love watching your videos and MAMACOO to keep myself updated on the world of watches
Love this video. Any chance you could do one of these for JLC?
Navitimer A23322, blue dial, blue leather strap, was my first 'luxury' watch. Still my favorite and the last one I would get rid of.
Loving these videos. Would love to see IWC next.
AMZWATCH is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
Great video. Would you do an Omega video like this one?
Sweet rundown. Can wait to get one!
I always assumed they're more for larger, louder, more active guys than me, but I was shocked to love Superocean Heritage 57 and 41mm, 3-hand Navitimers. I also didn't realize they do some environmentally friendly stuff. Maybe some day!
Love the brand. It will be great to see the same video about Piaget
The brand that when I was young I went to the jewerly shops with my dad and it was hes favorite in the 90s! 2000's they are really cool looking watches!
Love AMZWATCH watch, Such a great looking watch to match with the precisionist movement.
I love my Premier. Blue dial, anthracite panda chrono registers. A bit thick but not terrible. B01 movement is nice
I wish they would bring back the Breitling Colt.
I got a soft spot for Breitling. The only brand so far I own more than 1 watch and I could almost buy any model they release
Then this year I bought a SOH and I fuckin' love it too. Sure enough, I'm debating what will round out my trio of Breitling watches - possibly an Avenger, or maybe a Premier.
Yes, please do make more videos like this for noobs like me. I would love to continue learning of some of the obvious and maybe not so obvious families of watches behind some very obvious brands. I've had a Breitling Avenger for twenty years. Love it but would looove a Navitimer.
First time seeing the Top Time Zorro, very cool😎👍 my personal favorites from the brand so far are the top time triumph ice blue, and the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43mm Copper dial.👏👏
Love the navitimer but the water resistance is so low which makes me cringe a bit but I still feel like I would still add it to my collection one day.
OMEGA LINEUP VIDEO PLEASE
