@@BurnTheNuance It's so funny, people are still stuck 20 years in the past, you can appreciate Iowa and whatever album from that period, but to deny newer albums as sounding better is just asinine
One reason this album is so fucking good is the constant little hits like that. Sometimes it's a tiny drum flair or one note edited in such a way. Just utterly kills me. So many details.
I went back and listened to masstaden and thought damn I’d love to hear that in the same quality as under vatten and then they announce the forte versions. I can only speak for myself but Vildhjarta seems to anticipate what I want and before I can fully form the idea they’re like “done, coming out in January “.
Goddamn your drumming style is insanely groovy. So unique and perfect for this album. Makes everything so fucking HEAVY! Still rewatching to understand your technique I’m still in the what the fuck stage
.I'm not even really sure how to describe your drumming style but its definitely different...and sick!! The click tracks for your songs must be off the wall?
@@AFacemarkedbyFea it's not thomas lang complicated but it's pretty complex. Definitely a lot to remember and this is obviously one video shot so that to me is complicating lol
Thank you for this and thank you for the whole album and the instrumental version on youtoube as well. You and Humanity's Last Breath restored faith in humanity this year ;)
There are bands before and after Meshuggah, but, for sure, there are bands before and after Vildjharta, either. What a fucking hellish band, come on...
I love how every hit is written in and duplicated. Vildhjarta is no jam band. Not to say Buster can't make up fills on the spot but things are so measured and calculated. My fav drum transition: 1:42
You may have created the best sounding metal album of all time,
@Kyle Cholewinski I love both, but still stick to my statement.
@Kyle Cholewinski People who put Iowa on the top of their best metal album of all time list needs their heads/ears checked.
You mean helped create, right

Buster: *remembers every drum hit to songs that have ridiculous odd timing and structure*

Good thing with odd time signatures. You don't know if he makes a mistake or if it's intentional :P !
This dude is such an inspiration. not only an amazing drummer but also an amazing audio engineer
And he slays on guitars, too!? Inspiration is the word!
@@MegaLaban12345 was gonna say he plays a right handed guitar strung correctly left handed. Buster is amongst the Gods.
would like to see more playthroughs, especially vocal playthrough

Yes! I wanna see the vocals too!
Oo what an idea
the drums on this album are absolutely *insane*

Everyone writing "thall" everywhere is fucking cringe.
I listen to this song just for that guitar peak at 3:50, slays me every time

Fucking flams at with the kickdrums at 1:53, man wtf it's amazing
Flames?
Ay you should listen to Oceans Ate Alaska. The drummer loves doing that shit
@@Tool_jira_shugg Additional suggestion: Amulet by Reflections. You can't hear them super well but he does them quite often in the breakdowns
32nd notes =/= flams
Their concerts are gonna be massive if they do a tour! let me tell you that right now! :)
this album is a unique masterpiece! There is nothing like it!

Whew. Those drums sound phenomenal!
This album is so fucking good and refreshing.. please post more drum playthroughs
At 2:57 you can hear a hi-hat sound but he uses a crash, sounds better tho I can see why they changed it
