I want to thank the entire band for going the extra mile with this album. The meticulous writing and production, the bespoke art for each track, and now putting out instrumentals for the entire thing. You really went above and beyond with this, thank you for that.
they did that with every album , it's quite common among djent bands, probably because the genre started out as mainly instrumental one man projects so the tradition stuck

If they would have went anymore technical with it the drums then, along with all the other instruments, would have the effect of almost a 'static noise black hole', taking away from the overall syncopated and mastered sound. You see, music is not just noise, it's noise with silence being the accent.

41:34. This part is BULLETPROOF. They bring back that "sweeping" guitar riff, only an altered version of it. This couldn't be any more perfect. And then there's a break for intense vocal work right before it returns. A rare instance of repetition for Vildhjarta.
Obviously there are so many 'emotional' riffs and melodies on this album by my GOD if that part you're timestamping isn't just the most emotional fuckin thing. BEAUTIFULLY done

Anyone pick up the beautiful sequence from 51:12 to 51:15 that one guitar note almost brings a major sounding atmosphere for a split second. Almost jazzy sounding. Fuck I love this band

Hearing this I have to say: Vilhelm Bladin, you did an outstanding work on the vocals. Don't want to talk down this version as the instrumentals are amazing af, but this album was clearly written with vocals in mind and boy do they add to the experience. Lots of texture and aggressiveness missing without it. It's really interesting to hear the differences in the production here in parts that have vocals originally and those that don't, I'm sure this can be a big help for other Thall writers. Thank you so much again for this album, I'm really struggling to truly enjoy anything else since then.

Regarding Bladin sunset sunrise sunset sunrise grew on me the most, the middle part is just pure desperation and brings me on the verge of tears every single time.

I've been a THALL fan since like 2010 but coming back in 2023, not only is Vildhjarta my all time favorite band, but THALL is my new favorite genre. Music hasnt been hitting the same way in the past years. I used to be an addict to metal and it finally got old. Came back to Vildhjarta in 2023 (espesically with the new release) and it hit all the spots that were missing in music for me. Thank the THALL gods. Hoping for a new EP soon!!

I have a hard time connecting with lyrics, and dont get me wrong, i love vildhjarta with vocals, but sometimes hearing the instrumentals really opens up that heavy ambience. And that makes it so easy to let go of so many feelings i have bottled up inside.

Can someone solve the mistery (to me at least) that happens in Passage Noir at 28:33? Does the guitar riff actually slows down a lot in tempo or it's just another polyrhythm trick that happens because of the drums?
Yup, the guitar parts remain the same from what I can hear, the difference is that the blast beat on drums goes into a triplet feel, which makes it feel completely different and faster. Look up 'Dirk Blast" if you want to hear something similar!
That clean vocal section you mentioned is one of my favorite parts on the album. I love the amount they have. I do like that these parts to be on the rarer side. Perfect ratio of aggressive/cleans.
The album art for Paaradiso is absolutely incredible. Not to mention the rest of the artwork is bonkers as well, but that one piece just tells an incredible story the more you look and decipher it. \m/ THALL
