The sick Amphy always confused me - there's a Pokemon Center right near the lighthouse, injured and sick Pokemon are _literally_ what its there for!
I think the implication is that the Amply is suffering from a rare sickness, the medicine for which can't be found at common Pokemon Centres.

okay, im definitely a casual pokemon fan but i find it cool that when jaiden showed frosslass, you and all the other nuzlocke players immediately knew why that was bad news. makes sense of course, this is your bread and butter, but i still thinks its fun.
When i saw the notification for jadein's vid i was like stop everything new objective. Also Jaiden kinda inspired me to do my own nuzloke and i decided to nuzloke the first pokemon game i ever played which is pokemon white 2

Be careful that game can be difficult to nuzlocke. It is one of the harder main games they made but very rewarding. Lots of encounters, items and options

To be fair, Archer was only in Heart Gold and Soul Silver, NOT in Gold and Silver. So yeah, in the original versions of the game, Team Rocket didn't even have a named leader.

Man the idea of team of Jaiden Animation and Alpharad in Soul Linked Nuzlocke sounds awesome. 👍 Also it's sad that apparently these Nuzlocke Animation are ending here (It was in the end credits.), but who knows maybe she will make another one.
if she has enough support she might think about it. i think the snow cloak fight is the main problem lol that's not a good feeling to go through that awful fight.

Thanks to it I convinced a friend to have our own randomized Emerald Soul Link. It was "Interesting".
1.Rayquaza and Houndoom as starters.
2. I kept finding legendaries I coudn't capture. We didn't get a secon pokemon until badge 2.
3. "He kept gettin status conditioned".
4. Rayquaza almost died to a wild Pixie.
5. Both of us with different randomized games found a Zapdos as our encounter in the same patch of grass.
Oh me too! But since me and my sister didn't have the game, we decided to do it on Roblox Loomain Legacy. And there was a confirmed update that randomizer would be a gamemode. So we deicded to wait

I'm going through HG/SS randomized soul link with a friend and in my save, Elm gave me an egg after talking to Mr. Pokemon (yes, in the intro, before the tutorial)
The egg hatched into a shiny Arceus that immediately stopped being shiny for some reason (and overwrote my Leafeon starter), which later triggered the Ruins of Alph/Sinjoh Ruins event
I chose the Giratina slot from the event (we agreed that the extra eggs gave him a free choice, so he caught a Croagunk to link to Arceus), which failed to work and while it gave me an Infernape, it turned into Giratina when I went to nickname it
And then realized MY Arceus was in the box and I had a level 100 japanese event arceus in the party (which we boxed and will never use)
A bunch of our friends were watching and it really felt like the start of a creepypasta or something 🤣

Our run ended when my friends entire team got swept by a Groudon in the third gym. He was definitely Jaiden in that one. I got to fight babies all the time while he had to fight legendaries and status conditions every second battle or so😅
@@ralfsstuff Ours hasn't made it past the Ilex Forest because my friend has had a lot of stuff come up. But Arceus and Croagunk died because his Croagunk got Mean Look'd into a Quagsire
on the Archie being anticlimactic comment I kinda feel that was kind of the point, Team Rocket is literally trying to revive a team that's been gone for 2/3 years at that point you beating him was final nail to that.
Im sad that this is the end of her nuzlocke series but this episode was so cool and interesting because it's my first time seeing a soul link plus she included pokemon challenges And Alphard in the vid which is one of my favourite poketubers so yeah I'm just pretty sad but I completely understand why she would stop because it takes a lot of time to do these kind of videos.
I agree with the point on Archer's plot. Thankfully Dryano fixed that in Sacred Gold/Storm Silver, by actually bringing back Giovanni to the Radio Tower and having a bonus final fight with him there.

I have verryyyy similar opinions on Johto. A nice region but is overshadowed by Kanto.
isn't Johto just 2 regions in one? so it's not even a brand new thing of it's own, it's an add on to Kanto.

Not gonna lie, I’m kind of biased towards Johto because the original Pokémon Silver was the first game I ever raised a Pokémon to level 100 in *without* cheating (I was addicted to the Missingno glitch back then lol), my Typhlosion named Charcoal.
It was also the first (and only) time I’ve ever caught a shiny (a purple pinsir during the bug catching contest), and the funny thing is I didn’t even know shiny Pokémon were a *thing* (I actually thought it was a glitch. I was 12 at the time, don’t judge. 😅), so I called my cousin up (who’s slightly older & a bigger poké-nerd than me) and he freaked out about it.
Unfortunately, my game file got corrupted a few years later, so I lost Charcoal *and* my purple pinsir. That was a sad day 😔.
Edit: before you ask: No, I lost that contest to a f-ing caterpie.
You're very valid tbh, that is why HGSS used to be so high up on my list for so long! I have some similar experiences, like getting my typhlosion to lvl 100 (albeit I didn't cheat I just used it WAY TOO MUCH) and I also got a shiny, but I killed it not knowing what it meant to be shiny lol... Once I got outside of that bias though and compared the games I realized how low of a rating it actually gets from me!

The same name for both linked mons - I don't have this confirmed in any way but I suppose if you catch a pair and name it the same you have no chance of forgetting which pokemon are linked together. I have watched enough soul link nuzlockes to know that it can happen.

also jaidens calculations on how unlucky she was to find a frosslas in the gym were off, she has to also take acount for her finding that abomasnow. she only counted for finding that frosslas but the right way to calculate that is to calculate the chance she gets the abomasnow and then has to fight a frosslas

19:37 in a black randomizer i found nearly half a box worth of legendaries including literal god as well as 2 other gods (dialga and palkia) but since i didn't know how to randomize trainer team guess who one between me and N
20:45 u think u suck i can't even get to watson in my Emerald nuzlocke the closest I've gotten is his bug trainers wiping most of my team and the 117 trainers picking off the rest
If you're using the Universal Pokemon Randomizer, there's a tab just for trainer pokemons

my first nuzlocke didn't get based the second route...I didn't use the starter and first mon was a level 2 grubbin in shield...killed by a level 7 Rookidee
doing the new games is a big no no for randomizer or nuzlocke. you gotta start on the easier games, gen 2 or 3.

Fun fact, truth is you can catch a Legendary Pokemon with Pokeballs. I would know because my cousin taught me how to do it and I caught Ghiratina THREE times with that strategy in Diamond, Pearl AND Platinum. The challenge is to get it to one point of health, I also recommend saving before you catch a Legendary Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl remakes. Previous experiences I had.
All balls only have multipliers that lets them catch better than pokeballs, if any other balls can catch a mon but a pokeball can't, then it's probably either your mon being too low-leveled or you haven't used other multipliers (Low HP and non-volatile status effects)
actualy the worst felling would be if the pokemon somehow got 5 boosts in a row

I am fairly confused cuz like, every time I watch the animation I question their use of Sandslash/Camerupt. Since both are ground types.
The reason both can be used is that the limitation is on Primary types. Sandslash is Ground while Camerupt is Fire/Ground.

........you only visit Olivine city 3 times at the least. Once to get the HM, Lighthouse and mission to get the medicine for Amphy, once to fly back and give the medicine to Amphy and challenge the gym and lastly to take a boat to Kanto. Plus the mission is interconnected with going to Cianwood City for the Gym anyways.
I would prefer Johto over Kanto anyday. It's more balanced than Kanto with it's bulls*** difficulty spikes and lack of income due to not being able to rematch any of the trainers. If it weren't for Fire Red and Leaf Green, I wouldn't have looked back on Kanto.
