-On my '09 Aura, the driver's side low beam is easily accessible through an access hole from behind the lamp. 1. Remove battery cover 2. Pull washer fluid top fill pipe off (just pull out one push pin first) 3. Remove one wire/cable anchor & move wires out of the way. (May also want to unscrew that ground wire.) Easy peasy. Sadly, they did not provide a similar access hole on the passenger side.
Thanks very much! My mechanic charges $160 to replace the headlight on my Saturn 2007 Aura XR. Your instructions allowed me to do it for the cost of a single bulb, a sore back for awhile and 2 hours of work -- mostly spent looking for the right socket to use on the two little bolts and the preparation of jacking up the car, etc. Didn't need to remove the tire. One note -- I'm not tall - just 5'7, and my arms didn't reach far enough to secure the bulb in the wired socket, so I discovered it was possible to remove and replace it with one hand. Took some fiddling but it worked! I'm thinking of offering my services to other Saturn Aura owners.
I spent an hour trying to replace the bulb on the driver side of my car. I was getting frustrated so I ended up just wrenching the the whole light out just enough to reach the bulb. It worked but I really wish i saw this video first. I'm gonna replace the bulb on the passenger side of my car with your method. Thank you!
I did this with the driver's side about a year ago. I've been waiting for the passenger side to go and it finally happened. Just watching this to refresh my memory. It is ridiculous that they design things like this where a simple item is such a hassle to replace.
82ND AIRBORNE I just finished the driver side...the low beam was out. Holy shit!! I replaced both bulbs cuz I ain't going through this again. Saturn...took this headlight assembly... And built the damn car around the light assembly!!
Great tips all around! Thank you! I have to change my headlight dim again and last time my dad helped me with having to prop part of it open with a 2 x 4 lol, we got it to work!
This could probably be done with the wheel on and turned out of the way. jacking the car up made it much easier for me to get my arm inside and I don’t know if I could have done this with the car at its normal ride height.
James Ruschmann ,It’s been a year now but I remember thinking that I might not be able to reach the Highbeam, but I didn’t try so if it were my car I would start from here. And if it turns out you cannot, at least you’re halfway there on unbolting the headlight assembly. Which shares the same bolt that holds together the fender and the bumper.Good luck.
Mark St.Germain Thanks Mark. I’ll give it a go. My Saturn is now 10 years old , I do as you suggest in your video. Worst comes to worse, I’ll remove the core support cover and loosen a few of the fender bolts. Thanks again for posting the video. I’m going to attempt to replace all the bulbs at one time.
If your hands are small enough you don't even really need to do anything to reach the blinker bulb I found out in my car at least. I mean I have pretty big hands and I was able to reach in with two fingers and pull my blinker bulbs out without even unbolting anything.

I did not know that since I only changed the passenger side. But when the time comes I will give it a shot, thank you

Thanks for the extra effort u did a great job. I will watch it again before I tackle my aura thanks.
Thanks Fred, and do as I say not as I do and don't touch the bulb because I had to replace it a second time.
Cheers
saved me a lot of time compared to other vids

Like how you explained things in a down to earth way 🏁

Thank you
You're welcome
Your the Best thankyou bro...
Welcome 👍
Thank you very much for this video. I did this without taking off the wheel but it would have made my life easier. You will need longer arms. Lol
Absolute legend. Thanks for the help.
Thank you! Used your method on my gf car.

Good luck on the turn signals. Made me curse the heavens and gm engineers.
Do you think you can access the high beam and turn signal by using this method?

Can you reach the blinker bulb using this method?
? Let us know. Please

On my '07 Aura, the blinker bulb is at the top and accessible when the hood is up.
What kind of pins and screws were on the fender?
Sorry for the late reply they were 10 mm and just standard push pins that you pull out
Aside from the color of your aura,,,,I would have swore you were at my house,,,,,I have the same buick mine is a century
Mr coz , are you talking about the 2002 Park Ave. or the 1984 six door Buick LeSabre?
Thanks man!
Try doing the drivers side that lol not as easy for sure
a push pin remover is cheap & makes it easy
Thanks, it's the perfect tool for a lot of things and I use it quite a bit.
Of course I’m sure making these videos nobody touched the bulb
