Man I've been trying to figure this for months. Also parts stores ask $200 for my 07 saturn outlook xr passenger side (Xenon bulb). Dealership repairs really unaffordable. Sometimes the salvage yards are a viable option. Thanks a million.
Fyi those plastic screw caps dont seem to unscrew. So take another screw driver or whatever and push up from the bottom of the screw as you unscrew it from the top. I got stuck for 5 mins trying to unscrew those suckers. To put them back in use a screw driver to push the little prods into the hole as you push down. Be careful I just did this in the cold and the top of a plastic screw came off. I'll need to use a pliers to pull it out next time.
I think the owner bought it one 2 years old and has had very good luck with it. The bulbs seem to go out every year or 2. But noe she just watches this video and does it herself.
I have one and I haven't had any serious issues with it other than usual maintenance. 2007 with 154,000 miles. Only had to replace the power steering pump and it was 100% covered under an extended warranty through GM.
I have one and only major complaint is that the sun roof leaks... this seems to be a problem with all saturns but is a big problem with my outlook.... whenever it rains water pools around sunroof and pours out around sun visors, rear view mirror, and air bags between the door and front window
@@cherylallen7712 the drainage tubes in the sunroof are clogged. They run from the sunroof through the window skirt to the Bottom of the frame next to the front wheel. It can be cleaned out with a small flexible wire or lightly compressed air. Not too much pressure though or the tube may pull apart.
Easier to remove the headlight assembly? 3 bolts. Remove the front cover piece for access to the third bolt. Seems more accessible that way. I could be wrong. Just researching to replace my bulb in the next few days.
nope sorry you are 100% wrong period all you have to do is reach around the top frame rail next to the battery input and you can reach the headlight the opposite side the same way very easy takes 5 minutes don't take anything apart

This helped a whole lot,I own a 2007 outlook XR and my headlights went out and this helped me replace them, thanks man!
Thank you so much for your help. I can't believe they made access to the bulb so difficult.
I'll just turn my wheel to the right to replace the left. Come summer I'll polish those composite lenses on our '08. Thanks for the help.
I almost ended up taking apart the whole front end. Thanks for showing me its all in the wheel well!
Dude dude God bless you you saved me a lot of BS honestly
Very Helpful! Thanks to your video, I just replaced all four hi/low beam bulbs in my 2008 Outlook in under 30 minutes!
Thank you for your help changing the lightbulbs in our outlook. good job on the video too. I appreciate it
Thanks for this! So helpful. It is quite a costly repair when you have it done at a repair shop. As in $565!
Insane!
For one bulb? If so, you need a different garage. Book says it's an hour and a half job. No way someone charges $370 an hour for labor
@@jenniferellison3480 Crazy, I know. 2 quotes. I was shocked. That is why I am watching this video.
20 mins easy to do. Thanks helped me out
