In 2016 she thought she should have made it over Gabby Douglass. Problem was, Skinner sucks on bars and that was the ONLY place the U.S was vulnerable. Floor and vault were covered, she wasn’t need and while Laurie had less difficulty than Skinner on floor and vault, her execution was better. Same in 2020/21 with Grace; she had lower start value but higher execution. Skinner should be very happy she got that silver on vault.

Well I think the Cheng rule is a little bit weird. Gymnasts sometimes don’t get the block right on a lot of vaults so why is it only the Cheng that gets a 2 point deduction. Also, just a detail, but Leanne clearly got a good block on day 2 and it wasn’t at all questionable ❤
Whilst there is no excuse for talking about other people’s body and I’ll agree some comments were pretty wild and not correct she had a point about a few things such as athletes talking back to their coaches or routines being clean precise even though some of her’s were less than precise also now I could be wrong and people are welcome to correct me but isn’t the point of training camps is to train not sit around as she said some were doing I agree the way things were done previously was absolutely not right and nothing excuses the abusive environment but I also think to a degree there should be an element of discipline which mind you both Chelsie and Alicia pointed out many girls were trying to test the limits because they were young head coaches so whilst a majority of her comments were out of line she had some valid points

If you are speaking about Mykayla, you must realize how insulting her comments were. When one has a public platform it is expected that people will respond to what is said on that platform. She had an admirable career, accomplished much-appreciate that and move on with the second phase of life. She has a husband and child and is not cut out for commentary. This is not the first time she has made nasty remarks about other gymnasts.
