I believe that should work, I haven’t tried it but if it could hold my 70kg roof top tent at 115 kph then a kayak should be fine. But I’m no kayak expert.
@@alfredondatra The max weight on the roof bars is for when driving. It’s a max load for holding the cargo to the roof in case of hard braking or such. The roof bars can take a much higher load during standstill. I loaded mine with about 250kg. Worked fine. But got some rubbing on the paint, I’d recommend using like a vinyl wrap on the roof to protect from scuffing.
I didn’t see any marks the last time I took them off. Right now they are on but I’ll update you whenever I take them off in the future. Tape or vinyl wrap shouldn’t hurt thou.
Update! So after cleaning the car I did notice 4 marks. One under each rubber foot, where the roof bars made contact with the paint. It looks like a brighter surface. I tried to remove it by polishing but did not get it completely off. If I would use roof bars again I’d wrap those parts to protect the paint.
For a product that's supposed to fit the Polestar 2 specifically it's weird that the plastic keyed covers don't fit more flush to the car. The clamps shouldn't be visible with a big gap between the car and the covers. Bummer.
Have alot of windnoise from mine. Trying to rectify with Polestar.
Just installed one on my polestar, once I go above 100km there’s some windnoise from rear rail, did it happen to you ? … thanks alot for th vidoe
Can this be easily removed?
Do you know or have you tried fitting a Thule ProRide 598 to those or whether you need any adapters from Thule?
Thank you! Good video.
Thanks for the video. What kind of wheels are those? They look good
Thanks, they are RIAL M12 Polar-silver
Thanks for the clear video. Do you think you could carry a kayak on the Polestar roof? My kayak is around 5 meters and weights around 35 kilos.

@@BasinBjorn you had a roof top tent that weighed 70 kg and then you slept up there as well? Isnt the max weight allowed 75kg for this rack?

@@BasinBjorn Ah that's great to know, thanks! Which rooftop tent were you using?
@@alfredondatra I had the Desert Cruiser. A hard shell tent
Any wear mark after taking them off? Just wondering if something should be taped to the underside anywhere the mounts touch paint.

That adds a lot of height.
Wind noise too. Bad ?
With only the roof bars the wind noise isn’t that bad, it’s just a slight increase.
But with the roof top tent on top it’s a massive noise increase.

Any chance you could fit a set of chains?
