Hello Mr Etoe thankyou for all your wonderful videos. Question regarding the plastic primer. Does this also help to make the Montanna suitable for painting (not just the paint adhesion benefit) and not affect then structure of the plastic? Reading technical datasheets i can see Montanna Gold is a solvent based acrylic. Thanks.
My question too. Did you ever get an answer? I'm guessing once you put a plastic primer down you can spray anything on top of it. One other question along the same lines; can you use a water-based primer instead of the plastic primer, then use the solvent based paint on top of that? Hope we get an answer. Thanks Martin.

Was just wondering why you only used plastic prime in this video where in the red bull helmet you used to clear plastic prime and than another prime? Thanks

I’ve been catching up on your videos, love your enthusiasm and you have inspired me to paint my bike frame this summer. I wondered if you have ever painted the carbon soles of cycling shoes? My bontes have become scratched and worn over time and giving them a flashy paint job would breath new life into them but I am concerned the finish want be durable enough and they could quickly look worse than they do now. Might you have some suggestions for durable paint finish options on carbon soles?

What Montana primer should you use for a fibreglass helmet ?
Brother, what brand of paint do you have? The paint I found on the road had poor adhesion.
I have a helmet with pre existing matte design I like. I want to use 2k clear glossy to make it pop. Am I able to simply use a light tack coat to start and then use regular layers? Aside from tape prep I should not have to “prime” or scuff the existing matte graphics correct?

Great videos! You have inspired me to paint my bike. How long should the base coat dry before adding graphics. It will be a black gloss base with Matt black over the decals then remove and Matt 2k over. Thanks

Great helmet. So many layers! Can I pick your brains please? I am just smartening up a lowrider. The chrome frame has been painted black or powder coated black, it is gradually coming off after three layers of paint stripper. The chrome looks in good condition. Should I wax it to keep it in a rust free condition or clear coat it? Or neither of course!! Your best advice please. Thank you for your great videos, I learn so much :)

Hello. Thanks for making these videos. I just recently painted my aluminum frame and I came cross a problem. When I painted it added clear coat and let dry for about a day. I was using a flat clear coat from the company you suggest spray max. The issue I’m having is that I was wiping down the frame to remove oils after I was done with alcohol and it started stripping the clear coat. Now I have to reshoot the clear coat again. What do you use to wipe down the frame? I didn’t’ know alcohol was so strong on paint. It doesn’t happen on my automotive paint on my car. Is it because it’s freshly painted or is it because alcohol should not be used to wipe down frames?
Use the 2K version not the 1K version.

Normal paint brushes would have been safer on the styrofoam than spray paint.
Why do you normally use spray paint?
Yes if you dip them in chocolate cream instead of solvent paint. Cause I'm a custom painter and... cause I can.

Hast du bei den Montana Gold Farben auch eine leicht raue Struktur? Einen wirklich glatten Auftrag bekomme ich mit den Kannen selten bis nie hin. Der Helm ist mal wieder perfekt geworden.
Wenn ich einen Zwischenschliff mit 2000er mache bekomme ich die Oberfläche glatter
