    Fiber Spider I want you to know I am 75 yrs old and I live in Amory Ms. and I love you and love your crocheting. You got me inspired to start again after a severe state of depression and I want to thank you so much. You crochet like my mom did and it just made me want to get busy. You are precious.

      I had depression and anxiety most of my adult life. It was going back to crochet and getting a cat that changed everything! I have goals and things to plan for, and my buddy, Nala, makes sure I’m never lonely! Fiber Spider has given me many hours of beautiful projects!

      Your comment reminded me of my sweet grandmother who I lost a few months ago. During the last conversation we had she talked about wanting to finish up old projects she had put away for one reason or another and never picked up again. I found a few beautiful things she made when packing away her things and I will treasure them forever.
      I'm so happy to hear you've started making things again, I hope you've been able to continue and you are feeling much better now.

      I’m late to this party. But I love your comment and my heart goes out to you. Feels like there’s not a lot of joy left in the world today. We gotta grab some wherever we can get it. And I agree, the way he teaches makes me feel like a friend is teaching me. Feels like home and wonderful memories of past times. I sure hope things have gotten better for you in the last year. I know how hard it is to overcome the darkness we face sometimes. You’re not alone hun. Never truly alone.

    Oh my goodness, I've been doing this pattern again (#3) and I probably have taken it too far! I haven't measured it yet because the border is not quite finished. Since there are 10 different colors, the border is 10 rows of double crochet-1 of each color in the blanket. It looks amazing! It's going to be one of the best gifts I've ever done. Fiber Spider, thank you so much for making this tutorial, and all your tutorials, so easy to understand. You make this 👵 look like the queen of grannies when it comes to crochet!😉

    Your videos are the best ever. Exactly the right speed, so I don't get bored, and can follow along easily. The camera is at the exact right place, so I can see exactly what you are doing. Every stitch is clear as to start and finish.
    Your voice is at the right speed so I can clearly understand each word.
    You give exactly the right amount of instructions, so nothing is left out, and no extra redundancy.
    Thank You

    Thank you for this tutorial! I made three granny squares (9 squares each) for pillow fronts and wanted an interesting way to make the backs. I'm adding triangles to each side and wrapping it around the back of the pillow. I'm planning to secure it all together with cord through the opposite corners. Your tutorial was so clear and easy to follow. Exactly what I needed! ❤

    Doing this in hdc and it's so delicate and beautiful! Instead of counting 3 stitches, I go in every other cluster space and it's working up beautifully. I was commissioned to make an Afghan and it will be 10x10ft when finished. Sage, tobacco, brownie, burgundy, navy, and black. It's so masculine and perfect for the man who ordered it. Thanks for the cal instructions. They helped a great deal when calculating the numbers.

      I am trying to make one for a queen size bed with only 3 colors-red, gray, and black. I’m trying to figure out how to do the triangles color pattern wise. I have the first two sections done ( granny square and the 4 triangles with 2 rows of each color and having black as the border. Now starts my dilemma. Do I continue with red and gray only as the triangle and use the black as a border on each round of triangles to the end or use all three colors for the triangle, doing 2-3 rows of each color and end with the black as the border? I’m not sure how either one would look. Too much solid color as in the first way or too busy using the second way. If you could give me an opinion I would appreciate it. Thank you. Sorry for the long post.

    • @vinachetri7969
      @vinachetri7969 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lynfuegmann2441 no need to apologize. Honestly, if you used more than 3 colors, it kinda balances the repetitive pattern, if that makes since. Fiber Spider uses 5 colors, with brighter colors to break up the pattern and make it stand out visually. I used 5 colors as well. But the black border idea you have sounds like it would give you the visual aspect you’re looking for. Hope this helps! And thanks for reaching out!

I had to pause at times to keep up but love your clear instructions and camera view. I'm more of a knitter and seen you also have some knitting on your site also. I'm a happy viewer and glad to have found you!!!!
