Don’t forget that if you had the Premium Deluxe of 2020 you get all these planes from 2020 like the 787 etc. without buying the premium deluxe of 2024. I am looking forward to the Saab 340 that’s why I got the premium deluxe.
I'm not sure about that, I feel it's being misunderstood. Might be wrong. But regardless, the new planes are certainly worth it. Can you point me to where this is clarified?
@@Aleksandar6ix Google MSFS 2024 FAQ, also during one of the Twitch streams Jorg confirmed that those aircraft will also be upgraded to 2024 standards. So, if you own 2020 deluxe/premium deluxe then those aircraft will be available and upgraded in 2024, so you only need to buy the Standard Edition. Unless you want the additional aircraft. Also, the airports will be available as well and upgraded.
Standard version has all the planes I’ll be flying. I think Microsoft missed a trick and should have mentioned what airports are on each version. Premium and deluxe give me nothing I would use. Standard for me
I honestly think most simmers are better off with standard package. We just fly thee same fenix or pmdg anyway lol. I personally only have a few payware aircraft which i spend all my time in apaprt from the 172 skyhawk and cabri g2 Intersting to see how many (if any at all) of these airliners in the upgraded packages actually get talked about or used after a month
FYI, Jorg mentioned if you already have 2020 premium/deluxe, and just buy standard 2024, you will get those existing planes in the 2024 sim, in regards to the blacksquare (and mod) planes you mentioned. Whether they are the 2024 updated version, or the 2020 versions im unsure, but at least, theoretically the blacksquare stuff should work (or once updated). You can also buy planes from premium/deluxe separately if you only want one or 2 planes
I asked about this in the official forums, and apparently Jorg confirmed in the developer stream from September that they will all be updated to the latest 2024 standard if you bought them in 2020. Also, someone asked Microsoft support and they replied confirming that yes, they will be upgraded to use all the new 2024 features. So, if you already own 2020 PD, the ONLY reason to buy anything higher than 2024 standard is to get any NEW planes or aircraft. This makes the deal significantly worse for existing players vs new players who don't yet own anything. On top of that, apparently the new planes will also eventually be made available as standalone purchases in the marketplace, but we don't know when they will show up and at what cost.
@@mdhazeldine Well thats good to know, I thought it was the case, i still got PD because IF the planes are priced the same as the ones in the aviator pack were in 2020 ($14AUD in australia), all the new planes i wanted was still gonna cost more.

They should have done it like you have three choices and a tickbox list and you can choose which aircraft you want for each version. Customise your choice This is here is a typical marketing trick.
Worth noticing, you will be able to buy individual aircraft from the more expensive bundles (don't know if it goes for airports as well). This was confirmed in an interview I watched from the event at Grand Canyon. So unless you're planning on using the majority of the included aircraft I recon it will be much cheaper to just go with standard edition and buy the ones you actually want to use.
I thought I heard this too, but still feel it should be clarified on their webpage. For myself, I will fly at least half of them if not more plus the bespoke airports so it'll be worth it for me regardless.
That's what I heard him say as well. If I don't get or can't get the 787 either free or for a small charge I simply will continue with it in 2020 or drop it. I bought the top package in 2020 and the vast majority of aircraft are gathering dust in the hangar.

On MSFS 2020 I was going with the plain Standard package as it was pretty much unknown how good the quality of the default aircraft would be. In retrospective that was the right decision until Working Title stepped in and especially upped the avionics quality. Still the visuals however were quite off especially on the (Asobo) A320 Neo and partly on the 787-10. On the new iteration now things changed massively as most aircraft are created by people which built their business around creating high fidelity aircraft and on top WT is part of the development team which imho will really increase the overall quality of all aircraft - so I did some simple math for myself: what if I'd have to buy these aircraft on some place outside the MS ecosystem? I assume in the median each aircraft to cost $30€ (some just 20, some 40). Next I counted which aircraft I'd at least fly twice from the additional package options and looked again at the Aviator Edition list. For me the additional ones I'm interested in would be: - King Air C90 GTX as I guess it would come with either the EPIC Primus or the PL21 avionics pack (or even both, who knows?) - B78X (if it has been polished further) - Pilatus PC-24 - Saab 340b+ (which also will feature the cargo version as per preview event footage from the aircraft selector menu) - C-17 - CH-47D - B744 Super Tanker (I hope there will be mods to make it a default 747-400, so it will be really usable outside of fire fighting) - Grumman G.111 as I love that quirky "Flying Yacht" design they came up with - Cessna 408 for some cargo flights - Dornier Seastar as I love the look of this aircraft since ever So 10 aircraft on top of the default lineup worth ~300 bucks seems like a good deal to me which is why I'm going with Premium Deluxe. On the Aviator side of things I honestly already own the ones I'm interested in, so there simply is no point going with this edition to me.
