What was your biggest problem with Phase 3? What made you take a break/stop playing? (Also sorry, this video was meant to come out 10 days ago. Life...)
Had a baby at launch. Came back 2 months later to a completely dead server and my friends quitting/rerolling somewhere else. Servers gonna be exactly the same 1 month into MC so I can't recommit.
Season of Discovery in general is just making all the same mistakes as retail WOW Focusing on a single dungeon and kneecapping progression around that dungeon just isn't a reason to keep logging in.
Being a warrior, phase 3 was great and brought it back for me. I love sunken temple. Phase 2 almost killed the game imo, everyone started raidlogging, the gear in gnomer was useless and never dropped. Gnomer needed so many ranged that there is no room for both a warrior and feral druid, so no windfury. Worldbuff gives you nothing, STV event is unplayable as melee (nuked from orbit), and warrior runes were uninspired and worthless. A lot of people seem to judge phases based on their own experience (most streamers play orc/troll/cow shaman).
Blizzard devs just can't help but add retail like catch up mechanics to skip people to the end game. They will make the same mistake with Classic+ if they ever do it.
I've started to change my mind about BFA. Give me a redo with the Azerite AS IT WAS AT THE END IN 8.3...and IMO...it's not as bad. I fucking loved Uldir, Dazar'alor was...okay. Nazjatar is a place we saw in the Warcraft 3 or WoW instruction booklet like 20 years or so ago, we knew it's where Azshara and the bulk of her naga armies were and most people who know Warcraft's world at all were very very curious about it. We were teased with Kul Tiras and Zandalar many times and we finally got them. 8.3 was the main disappointment for me. Horrific Visions were awesome IMO but I was mistakenly thinking there'd be more, that's why I have hope for Delves in TWW. Ny'alotha was like...10% of what I'd hoped it would be. I imagined the Black Empire and N'zoth being a WAY BIGGER THING than just one damn patch after all that buildup. That's the main sin BFA committed for me....oh....and vulpera....they're not people. Biggest miss really was the Azerite system, they talked like there'd be hundreds of cool traits to choose from and when I got it it was like "Oh this one sucks, this one is no good, that one is for Fury, here's the Prot one, that's PvP and this one here is also useless....have fun!" I like to point out that every single one of these systems could have been better.
Incursions really killed p3. Especially all the early birds that took full advantage of the gold and exp pre-nerf. I too agree, that p3 was too long. 10 weeks would have been more than long enough. Sunken Temple was ass. Blizz really screwed up by not having a p2 or p3 Scarlet Monastery raid. I’m sure many were hoping for one. I mean Gnomer was alright. But ST, holy shit man. I also want to say that going from 10 man to 20 man raids really put a strain on tons of small guilds. For example, most of my toons were in different guilds. Six to be exact. How many survived once p3 was churning? Two. Ouch.
as much as i love wow and sod, phase 3 was the worst and most boring phase ever! i am now playing phase 4 and its awesome, and im quite excited for phase 5
They could've squeezed in arathi basin in arathi highlands as a pvp event in either phase 2 or phase 3 what they ended up doing was putting all their focus on cata classic and retail(new expansion) now that they are putting out a survey they really messed up they need to put full focus on classic revamps that work instead of expansions that are doomed before they even start they might as well give up on retail and full focus on classic update the graphics but not like how they did it in WoD but without too much unnecessary things that draw away from what makes the game work as an art form
I dont know why we are praising phase 4 as if its something amazing. nothing new is invented here, classic MC has always been good. Now the phase is pretty much over and we again have to wait til November for next Phase. This phase has been farming your tier 0.5 only to find out you need fire res. "INSANE PHASE" bro
Phase 4 has started strong imo, and I've been having a good time. I understand for alot of people, it might not be as amazing, but I love MC and the beginning of the endgame. I'm hoping in a few weeks/months, the overall consensus stays positive though.
Wth did you think you were getting? Its a seasonal version of vanilla wow for no added fee. It blows my mind when I see comments like this. If they were making a new game or an expansion dont you think they would charge you a base fee for the new game or expansion like they do in retail?
@@brandonwilson4740 and if you are talking about the measly 49.99$ that retail costs, I’m pretty sure most of us can muster up that insane amount of money for a better game.
When I read comments like this I just feel bad, cause I can only imagine how much of a fun-squashing, pessimistic, doomer that’s never happy about anything irl either you probably are. Like a wannabe edgy, unpleasable emo kid
I didn't really hate phase 3 so much. Sure the incursions fucking sucked, but I missed out on the gold hype but I did get in on that sweet, sweet xp and leveled from 45 to 50 in 2 days. Phase 4 has been fun except for the fact my account got passed my authentication and hacked my account...now my account is banned and my 12 year account is fu king shut down and since blizzard doesn't have a customer service, I still haven't heard back from my appeal. Hopefully they review my evidence and see im the fucking victim. Smh it's pissed me off.
Call me crazy but lack of pvp stuff. Got my stv stuff in one day and got rank 7 in 2 weeks and was already exalted with ab. Not nearly enough pvp stuff to do. Imo wish I could turn in 1000 stv coins for one piece of raid equivalent or slightly lesser gear. I would pvp every day rather than just farm gold and raid log
I absolutely think improving upon the PvP in Phase 3 would have kept people around longer for sure. Sadly, what happened happened. I am excited about the future of Classic though.
@@EbonhardtTV p4 is epic imo but I’m rank 10 and exalted with each pvp faction give me something to do other than raid log which I do like raids but pvp I would player 5-6 days a week rather than twice a week for a raid
9:20 I sure love trash longer than everything else and bluntly, overtuned raid for classic enjoyers. 10:50 Feral cat tier was really cool with shred and powershifting. 11:50 There's general consensus that there's something slightly off about cata's code, I can assure you there's a reason people hated vashjir back in the day, the zone did not function. 13:55 I have not seen a single gnomer run with 28 hours of gameplay on my rogue, rune catchup needs to change. The runes from SM being added are great as they were sheer luck/rng reliant runes as opposed to "go here do X" and being able to assure them, tis good, especially with the minimal amount of leveling dungeons being run.
SoD in general is a failure. It seeks to take advantage of players who don't like retail or are living in the games past. Which would be fine but, more often than not, they want modern WoW conveniences or they want a class to work in a balanced fashion when Classic was anything but about balance. The fact that they have added new raids to "classic" content should be a sign that you are living in the past and Blizzard is grasping at straws to keep people playing decades old content. Let's be real, SoD players are shooting for that nostalgic WoW experience that cannot be replicated. That chapter in WoW came and went. It's not coming back and nothing blizzard does can re-create that. All SoD has done is dilute the retail player base and retain players that they should have let move on to other games a long time ago.

I think community perception killed SOD
I've actually said this a lot. But player perception is way more powerful than actual facts.
@@EbonhardtTV That and allot of the classic streamers saying it’s crap now, and has no hype.

Ye, sadly this video was meant to come out over two weeks ago and shit happened. It was either scrap it or full send it
I mean its because of phase 3 that they are putting out that survey
10 man was BiS, but I’m ok to do 20 man’s. However, if 40 man’s come back I’m done. I have zero interest in dealing with that many people.
