Hey Tony, I'm really inspired by this project. I'm wondering where do you acquire your foam, what type is it and what resin and glassing schedule do you use? I'm interested in building my own skiff, and any info you could bestow would help me on this journey. Thank you and keep up the great work! That thing looks like so much fun, and very sexy
Mr Tony i would to build my own solo skiff with material use in soloskiff.com, but i dont know about the name of the material. It is the same like you use in your stingray? If yes, can you tell me what the name of material is. Thank's before.
Fantastic! That’s exactly what I would like to build. How much does it weigh without the outboard? I would like to car-top one.

Polyester resin and gelcoat fiberglass same as making boat
@@tonyhouston2575 how did you keep the poly resin from melting the foam?
@@bipedalhominid6815 you've got to use form that don't melt
@@tonyhouston2575 what foam? I used XPS foam but had to use epoxy.
@@bipedalhominid6815 I don't know it come in 4ftx8ftx4in with tar paper on both sides
Can you tell me how many inches that motor mount is? From bottom of hull to top?
13in
15 for short shaft...20 for long shaft....13 would have lots of drag.....could use a jack plate to raise it.
@@mikedill7378 stfu
@@bipedalhominid6815 sure you could use jack plate i didn't because of weight
This is an all foam build? What kind if foam did you use?
Don't know name of it I bought it at second hand store it was 4x8 insulation
Its solid once fiberglassed? Ive always thought about doing this with foam but thought it would be too brittle
@@andreb.7445 i put wood in it and steel pad for cleats and seats
Tony Houston where do you put wood?
@@andreb.7445 the reason you put wood are metal if you r going to mount anything can't screw into foam
Would you be willing to sell plans for this?
I kinda doubt there are any, but nothing wrong with that untill it starts flipping over above 20 knots.
