Great video. Thank You for explaining why it was the Resistor and not the Blower . I wasn't sure if it was the Resistor or the Blower. Now I know which part I need to replace. Thanks a lot.

So would it be my resistor on my 2013 GMC Sierra 1500? It comes on and off like when I start my vehicle the blowers will not come on at all and if I hit the bottom of my Dash or hit a big bump it will come back on it used to do this just very periodically like once a month and now it's getting more frequent. I would appreciate your advice thanks in advance

Great video. Is the procedure the same on a 2013 Silverado 1500?

I have a 2010 GMC Sierra, but the controls aren’t push button. They are knobs. Would that take a different resistor, or is it pretty much the same?

2010 GMC Sierra replaced the resistor twice in 5 month's, went out again couple weeks ago, busy for a week, ordered a new fan, then yesterday fan started running on high, would not shut off, even turned key off still ran, so I pulled the fuse to stop it. Now I'm really confused because this will be the 3 new resistor in 5 - 6 months but tired of having no fan also. Think I'm going to get another resistor, and put the new fan in. Any comments. Thanks

2012 silverado with center console. Blower just died while in use. Like someone flipped switch. Don't know where fuse is to ck. Also hav you go to remove console to get housing off to show blower motor

For my truck, to change the resister, I just opened the glove box all the way and got to it just fine.

I replaced the resistor and blower motor. Now it only works when the truck is warm from sitting in the sun. It Doesn’t blow in the morning when the truck is cold. Parts where new authentic GM parts.

    • @HowtoAutomotive

That’s a strange one. If you didn’t do it before you replace the parts I would suspect the resistor. If it did then I would suspect that control model
