    I was a PSE at the Statesboro post office. The biggest problem was most of the staff had horrible attitudes. They treat new people like crap. If you asked a question they would act like they could not hear you or they would give you an attitude or make a negative comment about you. I was working 6 days a week and around 60 hours a week and I would usually work from 5 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. during the week and then 5:00 a.m until 3:00 p.m on my weekend shift. When you are working in the back with packages you do not get a 15-minute break. You might get a 15 minute break as a clerk on the window. It's a physical job, and you have to be there early, and it's long hours, but the worst part was that most of the staff there had a horrible attitude.

      Damn it was that bad over there? I was thinking of leaving FedEx to come over there but I’m surprised by all these negative comments about USPS, cause I thought they would be the best shipping company to work for & 6 days straight is to much, I wouldn’t trade that for my 2 days off, which is weekend’s off.

      I resigned from the Post Office last week. I wasn’t there very long. The people were horrible. Everyone looked and acted like they hated being there. I was lucky to get a new job. It’s less hours and lower pay at my new job but the atmosphere is totally different. I didn’t realize working at a bad atmosphere job puts more strain on your body additionally to what you put your body through physically. I feel lighter even though I’m doing more physical work now.

    Isn't it a conflict of interest, what company has its own union, paying their own employees to represent union members paying monthly $60 union dues, gaining no money for winning grievances, when you can, for free, file an EEO within 45 days of Usps offenses, winning up to $300,000. for discrimination and up to $4 million for retaliation?
    Usps union is complicit with Usps management, with patterns of unfair labor practices, racism, retaliation against whistleblowers, also discrimination and retaliation against injured on duty disabled employees! See McConnell vs Usps, ( found guilty for discrimination against 23,000 injured on duty disabled employees, since 2005 national reassessnment program), Pittman vs Usps, Glover vs Usps, and many, many more cases for decades!
    Past 5 years Usps paid out $5,631,795. for sexual harassment.
    Exercise your legal rights under federal protection Laws, No Fear act of 2002, prohibited personnel practices, due process, equality act of 2010, civil rights act chapter 7, rehabilitation act of 1973 (504), and disability act.
    CYA!!! Don't be duped into paying monthly $60 union dues, = $720 annually, × 30 year career = $21,600.

    I am scheduled to get my fingerprinting tomorrow. What comes after the fingerprinting? Orientation, is that when they tell you more about the hours, benefits, job description, how long it takes to covert to a regular? Can I give my old work 2 weeks notice once I accepted the PSE position at the station? Can I withdraw from the position after the fingerprints if I am not sure about the work hours at the post office station as a PSE if its' part time or full time?

    • @tainlor
      @tainlor 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you can withdraw at any time through the hiring process. You can also withdraw at orientation if you want as well. PSE can be full time/part time based on location at a station, distribution center, or processing plant. It is based on workload, staffing, and other factors.

    • @RqOutandAbout
      @RqOutandAbout  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Anna, tainlor is right. During the orientation make sure to ask questions about your concerns. PSE hours is not guarantee 40 hr/week.
