sorry to hear that, I used to work for the post office as a cca for six months I started in January I resign because when i started the job wasn't hard or easy it was something in between but the problem started when the the covid 19 happens the job went from bad to worst, too much work and no time to eat sometimes i used to spent more than 8 to 12 hour walking with no lunch, i got skinnier but wasn't feeling healthy because i wasn't eating properly even tho i used to bring food with me it wasn't enough because i got hungry really quick, I eat my lunch in 2 minute i didn't have the time to take my 30 minute break so i was feeling exhausted the all day and even when i wake up the next day i was feeling like crap, everytime i was coming to my home i eat take shower and immediately go to bed i didn't have the time to do anything in my house or in my social life i don't know how I last 6 months to be honest. working as a mailman is not easy specially now with this pandemic with people ordering those stupid package amazon and amazon abusing the post office with that crap, sometimes I wonder if I was a working for post office or amazon, because I was tire of the freaking high volume of parcels coming from amazon and the freaking amazon sunday, I don't understand why we have to do amsunday they have to give us two days off so we can rest properly and have more energy to work, because working for the post office is the modern slavery they want you to be efficient instead of making their outdated system more efficient, for example when i see the amazon guys i see them using a more efficient delivering system they have a modern scanner that tell them where they need to go and how many package they have to deliver there and how they can load their truck according to system meanwhile the post office even tho they have a similar system with the mdd that shit doesn't even work and it makes so many mistakes so you end it using you navigation skill ,but the problem of being a mailman is when they send you to different stations and places and you have to figure out where you at, so yeah that's why amazon guys don't need to have experiences like the ad said but the post office don't want to invest in their infrastructure to make the job better for everyone instead they want you to be a multitasking guy that does everything for them because they short in staff, so yeah i used to do scanning in instead of casing when i was in my last station because they where short staff and the manager complaining about some carriers coming back late because her bosses where given her complain about some carrier coming back late but she didn't understood that the station is big and we are short in staff and the parcel volume on that station was ridiculous plus the bad infrastructure that need some improvement on this modern days. so me and other CCAS quit the post office for being a slavery house and for abuse the worker specially the CCAS I quit because i was feeling sick and weak of the amount of work and stress you get from management and stupid work but i think overall the post office will be a better places to work if: 1:they stop blaming on the worker for everything specially supervisor those people tend to forget there was a time where there use to be carrier and know how tough the job can be. 2:they get more staff to complete the task they trained for, instead of sending people with no training on that area to fullfil post office needs and blame them for not knowing what to do. 3:improving their infrastructure and invest in better tool to make the work more efficient. 4:they raise the salary for they worker specially ccas they do much more work than the regular and less benefit and less payment than the regulars and also they should definitely get rid of amazon sunday and give the cca two days off like the regulars, they also should get rid of evil amazon and make better busines with the competition because amazon is taking advantage of the post office, but over all if the post office one day chance the way they work and treat worker then i will come back to work to make the post office great again.
@@nirewilliams8263 they give trainings of how to deliver mail, but they can also give you other task when they are short in staff, for example i used to scanned packages in the back with other clerks and put them in the relay bags but that job belongs to the processing clerks but scanning parcels it easy and also i see other cca do some others clerks jobs like being a widow clerk and that one can be frustrating specially when the customer are the one who love to argue for everything and believe me it can be frustrating to deal with them, people love to argue with federal worker calling them lazy without knowing they sometimes are being overworked and abused specially new guys, because the regulars workers can be lazy and supervisors can not pressure on them because they have option that we the new guys don’t, so if they don’t want more they can go home but can’t unless management said extra work it’s mandatory.
you were hired to do a job, you sound like you wanted to run the usps for your own agenda even though you have no knowledge of the big picture of the usps and what it takes to run a business/service and try to make it work, you call amazon's packages crap, but that crap is helping the usps pay your's and everyon'e's salery, you just did not like working for it. you did a great service to the USPS for self terminating yourself (QUITING), you see you are the type of people the usps does not want or need because, WINNERS NEVER QUIT AND QUITTERS NEVER WIN.
@@johnieduran7872 apparently you didn't read the whole thing and the massage i want you to understand but ill try to make short for you because you sound like you never work for them and pretend like you know the job. 1. I love the usps i did not quit i resign and i didn't want to leave but my family force me to do it because they didn't see me well because I like i said before I didn't have the time to eat or rest or even time to go to the bathroom, I was walking more than 8-12 hours 6 days a week so i got way too skinnier but not healthy my arms and legs were shaking , there were times that i was walking sideways feeling like im about to hit the floor at any time because of the amount of sh*t that we have to do in the pandemic. 2. you said that amazon is good for the post office but the post office was doing well before amazon ,even a supervisor told me that amazon is paying to cheap to the post office and usps should charge more for the amazon package, (I don't always agree with TRUMP but when he says that amazon is ripping off usps and i believe him). 3.every carrier I know so far old and new carriers say the same shit we hate amazon and because of them carriers have to work double now on the pandemic, *I remember the day when management decide to force regular carriers to work on sunday because the pandemic make everything a chaos with those packages, we didn't have enough cca to deliver those packages so they force the regulars to work on sundays too* many of them refuse and GUESS WHAT HAPPEN next monday one regular guy went to the back to speak up his mind talking bullsh*t to me and other cca instead of blaming management and usps for making bad business, that day i wanted to slap that motherf*cker in the face but i hold back my anger and we didn't said anything even tho we have the right to report any harrass but he didn't bother us again and even if we report him he is regular guy post office wont get rip of him anyway. 4. For so long the post office wanted to become a parcel delivery company but they don't have the infrastructure to do so lets take for example fedex ups and amazon they more organize when it come to deliver parcels for example they label the package sorted the parcel in the order they want you to deliver and a give you a specific amount and give you a modern gps to deliver in case you don't know the area, but in the post office you have none of that most of the stuff you have are outdate technology that doesn't work well and an old vehicle so you need to know the area and sorted the parcels yourself, and been in stations that I don't know the area because ccas are always being move to other stations they know the places, thats why amazon says that you dont have to have experience. for example: th-cam.com/video/TTNI0BpCIo0/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/m3tHZ_WxZsc/w-d-xo.html this is more organize. 5. not all station are the same small station are more nicers than the bigger ones and the carrier on the small stations are also nice i used to be in a small and I did not want to leave that station but management dicided to move me to my last station and people over were less friendly I only spoke with the 3 cca over in that big station bc there were the only want who absolutely understand and appreciated the job of each other they didn't want me to leave but they understood that that my health was first. SO IN CONCLUSION: before you open your mouth and say something stupid like'' you did a favor by quitting'' , your wrong, learn to appreciated the job and effort of other because nobody is a slave we human being, you remind me those people who think they know job better than others but when they do the actual job they regret every word they said, I learn to appreciated the job of other and weather they good or bad(DON'T BE A KAREN). whenever i see a carrier i appreciated their service because i used to be one and I now it not easy, I used to deal with different weather and even a dog almost bite once but i continue to like my job, and if the post office ever dicided to leave amazon Ill be glad to come back, but now i will come back to post office one day but as truck driver. WELL HOPEFULLY you too the time to read the whole thing because last you didn't get the massage, I don't ill be answering i never reply on youtube but have a nice day anyways.
I retired from the USPS in August 2021 after 37 years. I worked as an expediter and more times than i care to remember, I worked my entire shift with no help. My original plan was to go 40 years, but my health is more important. While it pays well with good benefits, the P.O. is a toxic environment where lazy employees are rewarded, and people who believe in doing their work are simply given more work. The type of individuals they allow in management are not the sharpest knives in the drawer for the most part, and they get the positions by being underhanded and outright crooked. I am so grateful that I am retired now from this circus. My health has improved dramatically since retiring. Good luck to you in the future.
I'm so sorry this happened to you. You helped so many people don't worry God is going to bless you with a good job with people that appreciate you. 🙏🏽 I'm blessed to have connected with you Queen 👸
This is horrible. Contact the Union. I hope you joined. Was offered a PSE/SVC and Distribution position. Got a perfect score on the exam. Fingerprinting completed and received my letter to start Monday. Process took 2 months. Subsequently, I was also offered another job this week with the State Revenue Office. Because of what you experienced, I'm now more inclined to accept the State even though the pay is less. The great thing, I'll have regular hours, M-F, no weekends and all holidays off and paid. Thank you for your insight and all the best in locating another position. Money should never be the only factor in job decisions as our sanity is more important. All the best and thank you!
I believe I would've contacted HR because if I heard you right, it sounds like just an employee notified you and some employees like to Frame and lie to people. Id say thanks, I'll be contacting HR because she probably shouldn't know anything about if they was gonna fire you or not, that should be main person and you in private. Don't know why they'ed get rid of someone who's there when those 10 other people aren't. Unless you had more call offs than those other 10 people. Now they're going to be Even more short staffed. That's sad to hear, least you got federal to put on your resume now that should open quite a few doors. Thanks for all the USPS related uploads! Wish you all the best
Word of advice hr is not on the employees side I have been in similar situations except I was a career employee HR will not do anything. If your under your 90 day probation the only avenue you have is eeo or thru the NLRB act. This lady should of got of got statements from co workers stating others called off aswell and that management never informed her prior to the firing that her attendance was a issue. People if you work for the post office you need to understand you have rights even tho sometimes the unions suck you can file your own grievances. You also have the right to ask co workers for statements to help prove your being targeted. You can also write the head of the installation stating you were being harassed/ targeted. Once you make them aware be writing them and sending it certified the post office can not deny they were notified of the misconduct. I hate to say it but you have to educate yourself and learn your rights and be willing to fight back. Or you can allow the post office to abuse you. Some of the best processing plants and stations to work at have the most involved workers in getting involved with the union and filing grievances and helping eachother out on fighting the abuse management dishes. That is why the post office was such a great place to work at on the 80 and 90s all the employees were pro union and utilized there rights to fight back
I applied for CCa back in March. Since codvid happened everything ran slow. I was getting emails for the next step like every 2 months. I completed everything up to fingerprinting. Just got a email from them yesterday saying that they won’t longer need me for the Position / location I applied for. They said my process had nothing to do with them not needed me and I can reapply to other locations. This sucks because it was a long 5 month process going through everything. I just wish they had let me know the first month. Now i have to apply again for the next location near me. Smh
You should have immediately gone to your Union rep. They cannot just fire you like that. Everything here is grieved. Next time speak with one of the 30 year vets and ask their opinion…they know ropes, rules and more importantly the dirt and where the bones are buried…they will guide you…pick the right vet. Also that is why no one messes with the vet…because they know how to handle all of the stupidvisors…you must figure out a strategy because they will retaliate…but they need to know you will not bend…and they will leave you alone.
She basically is saying they let her go because she called out to many times per policy. As a none career employee you cannot be late and you cannot call out more than 3 times until you make regular. So that’s why she was let go .
This is false. As long as you’re not missing several days per month you won’t even be written up as long as you’re past 90 days. You get one PL day per month as well. You can use that as an off day if you like. Our supervisors are too busy to worry about someone being a few minutes late too.
From the USPS employee reviews and videos- it seems that all of us at some point should apply and see how long we can last. It seems like infinity bootcamp but with better pay.
Sorry to know about your situation... I left postal work one week ago after 1.5 years of working just because I got sick and I had to take 4 days off and 3 more in different occasion.. I was a TTO,, PTF...in Miami.. Do not know where the supervisors get their personality from or how they are raised in their household.... But that's the way it goes, I will have my dignity on my dignity is not for sale.... Again I have to mention that sorry to hear about your situation... I hope and I know you will jump back on the working train and support yourself because it looks like your hard-working lady....👍👍 Sending much love from Miami, Florida..
I’ve been back and forth with the USPS for 5 years. If I do not know how to work an area, I don’t work it and I will tell my supervisor because it’s better to do the work correctly than to do it incorrectly. A lot of times we were short staffed and I had to work several areas by myself. Just pace yourself as you do the work. I think you should have gone to the union before resigning.
She is referring to APPs machine that processes all parcels to sometimes it can be local zip codes or world mail all areas across US....clerk's key upstairs and mail handlers empty sacks on belt or dump APCs from dumpers and supervisors stand around being annoying lol they never cut machine off and when it jams or breaksdown for few mins everyone is happy it's a break "how intense it is some days"
So sorry to hear that this happened to you, and from your previous videos like when you first started until this video I can tell you lost a whole lot of weight. I know you are a hard worker because you never quit like some of the people you had seen quit already. Also you mentioned you weren’t getting the benefits that would have been a reason enough for me to quit lol. I know whatever job you get they will love you and appreciate your hard work and like they say when one door closes another one opens. Good luck to you!!!
Unbelievable these people are evil to fire you.my dad used to work for the post office before he took a buyout years ago and we remember the horror stories he used to go through with management
I think you are awesome. I would've loved getting to work beside you. Best of all is I see you still have your joy. You're not bothered, worried or upset. Because you know this is just a blip on the path. ❤
I know that feeling the harder you work the more advantage they take from you. That happens everywhere. How long did you work there? What other position you applied for?
Very sorry this happened to you but it sounds like they gave you the choice to resign or be terminated due to your attendance record. Attendance is a huge thing at the usps. Good luck in your new position and watch your attendance because they will be watching you.
Sorry about what happened. I’m a USPS career employee and in my experience USPS management has a bad habit of making poor decisions in regard to non-career employees. I was a PSE for 2 years. And within those 2 years me and other PSE’s were worked like slaves and were unappreciated by management.
mustafa, first congrats on making regular, Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win. Management/Supervisors have a mission everyday and that mission is to get the mail out to the carriers from mail processing, you see if the mail does not get out on time then it is a plan failure for the plant and that means delaying the mail, you cannot delay the mail on purpose because that would be a fireable offence, but with the call ins on a daily basis and the quit ratio of new employees which is currently at 32.5%, which is very high the staffing could become very low and the regulars are on a bid job, Supervisors have no choice but to work the CCA's, PSE's alot more because they are more flexible and can be moved around the plant or on routes alot easier and work them more hours because you cannot work a regular overtime unless they are on the ODL, the short staffing nation wide is what is causing the overworked load on the temporary help, thus why there are so many people quiting the USPS.
you got it wrong. it is not about work or over work. the regulars think they are kings and queens for a little heavier job or manual job and expect the pse to do their job.
What a pity the boss and some old workers feel power with the new ones... I was in a place where only life was impossible for you... I think I no longer want to apply for this place I was wanting to take the test to receive packages and Customer service, people are bad and don't have patience with the new ones.
I'm just done fingerprint last week. I applied cca position and my supervisor said until pass 90days straight work, no call off, no incident or accident otherwise they're fire.
It just happened the supervisor that time has no managerial skills. She was so ghetto unlike my previous supervisor who has an integrity, she is also just and fair. I cherished her because it's hard to find people who had a great quality and characteristic.
sorry to hear that.. I was hired as MPA on our first day they throw us to mostly all of the job there. its a mess! u gotta learn to do it by yourself.now we stayed in the sacks area, they called it apps..just imagine u carrying hundreds sacks of rice over and over your fingers will hurt tying up and then put the codes throw in the conveyor after that we need to help in the dock we are mandatory needed to stay 12 hours 6 days .the other co worker refuse to work in the dock and the supervisor fired her.3 of my team quit already .i got bruises.they slave the new one while the regular just chitchat and on the phone.the system in my plant is disgusting its a shame they will lost hard working people and keep the lazy one.
It’s almost impossible to get fired at the post office I work for.. I just became a career Mail handler after 2/12 years 🤦🏾♂️.. but boy I had my way the whole time and I never got in trouble 😂.. God bless you and your new work journey 🙏🏾
Same at my station lol. You make it passed 90 days and just show up on scheduled days and you’re good. Because of Covid if you’re sick, they aren’t gonna even question it. Hit up lite blue. You literally have to threaten to harm a supervisor to get fired 😂
I work in warehouse filling up the cans with sacks of mail for the airplane to deliver mail to other states...people dont know how dirty the mail is i wear shoes and my socks are black after a shift
Im awaiting background and fingerprints to come through for a temp MPA job. Sad to hear what happened to you, I am hoping I can work hard, make a good impression, and eventually become career.
Wait.. am I getting it right that you are fired because many of people called in that day? Is there anything I’m missing? I just stumble across your channel. Very informative.
So you worked as a MHA and PSE? Because MHAs load the belts for the SPBS machine, but PSE/Clerks key atleast thats how it was when I worked in a Plant. Also a lot of times they are understaffed and force people to work areas they're not trained in and then the regulars will watch it happen so they can file a grievance against you, because you're "taking" work from them.
First day at work at Distribution Center most times there's is no 1 on 1 training because it always short staffed......and they do throw you places with no knowledge and you have to rely on a jerk co worker to tell you bare minimum.......the sacks go too airport belt to be separated for the shipment through airmail
Omg just saw your video. The same thing happen to my son, he was a casual, an was assign the post office near Lax airport, but, some other office was short handed, an needed help, so they sent him to a post office, he was there about 2 week, an this lady supervisor, keep, harrassing him, everyday. So oneday she call him to the office, an told him, that they did not need him anymore, because of his work performance, so she ask him to resigned, just in case he wanted to work for the post office again, but now everytime he put in an application, to work, he get turn away, for some reason, an my son was a hard worker.
Yeah, i was working as CCA they found out i wanted to work as PSE and i was given the option to resin or get fired it didn't make any sense and it was two days before i became regular.. sooo sorry this happen too you but glad you can take it with a smile.
the worst part about the post office are the people working there. too many bad attitudes. i got into a couple of fights. always defend yourself and resign if necessary. you can always apply to another station in the future
Usps told my friend he had an option to resign and he did and got a separation letter in mail. He also got another job offer that he's waiting on but its for pse. He said he liked the Mha position just work is hard on body
@@MarieAdventure i spoke to him yesterday. He said he's still waiting for the orientation email, its for pse. They lied on the letter though, said attendance. Which he is always early even n hour before his time. They were racist. Too many Indians. I think they didnt like that he signed with the union 3 weeks after
where are you from. i retired from the post office and from what you have said that person in the bicycle is a supervisor? it is really bad person for po now but the pay and benefits are good specially after retiring
Funny how things got so complicated. I wished you luck pa naman ate hehe i suddenly remembered a day in my life where we were also shortstaffed and too many things to do and some bossess are yelling and even accusing us newbies of being lazy blah blah blah i just hope you find a new and better job, have a good day!
Sounds like they already had it in mind to let you go and perhaps saw an opportunity to make your job miserable and get you to quit rather than fire you.
I just quit as a CCA( under my 90 days probation period)for distance issues however within the same week I saw a nearby CCA posting and applied. I did resign. How soon do they rehire.
Sorry that happened to you. USPS is a mess. I started a few weeks ago as an MPA and quit on my first day after working my 10 hour shift. It was a hot mess, no training, slave job, nope.
@DDrummer Orientation was the easiest part and was basically easy money. But don't be fooled into thinking I'm lazy. I know what it is to work hard. But the post office is super unorganized and I too was treated poorly on my first day in the plant. Extreme lack of communication and no dedicated person to train anyone, me and my other coworkers were thrown on the floor as if they expected to know what we were doing. Like I mentioned before, it's a hot mess and just by that first day on the job I figured I was just going to be miserable in there so I quit on time. For a Governmental job I had higher expectations. Also, be glad you didn't even make it to the plant, you got out on time.
i thought that mail processing is customer service. I thought that is government job with benefit, 401k, holiday off, weekend off, i did apply and i got MPA pre- employment , can you tell me should i keep continuing the process?
Thank you for sharing your experience , I hope the best for for you. ask you continue your journey in life. People who put there best foot forward, Does a great service to others. More than we realize, Like a Angel , when God call us to assist we are there. You are Appreciate. God Bless You.
my sister sorry to hear about what happen to you i wish you the the best on whatever you choose to do i completely understand what you say about the supervisor on a bicycle they just act so dumb and don’t know what to do, i’ll still be watching your videos 💯🤗💙
It's some WOO stuff......Wizard of Oz. Haha! I once saw a supv give a stand-up SAFETY talk about proper clothing. About proper shoes and keeping long hair secured and the acceptable length of shorts. Stuff like that. Immediately after the talk she got on her bike and pedaled off.......No joke....She was wearing huge flared bell-bottom pants. While riding a bike. First rule of bike-riding is don't wear flared pants. 😂😕😃
@@MarieAdventure Cool. How did that happen? Did the supervisor ask you if you wanted to resign and reapply for a new position? What is the new position?
I am a fan of your I bet you could get back in there looking because there looking for workers, it's hard work with know sitting on your feet the whole time, PCT nurse.
God will BLESS YOU with better! After 1 week -- I've recently experienced a similar story as an RCA, and discovered that the ENTIRE postal system for the vast majority of locations - is evil, and any normal negative thing that happens to you, is your fault. The entire system is a chaotic ball of untrained, horrible, evil, uncaring, callous management lunatics, with lots of financial waste, zero onboard training, and a completely unsafe environment! It's a flipping travesty!
Hey if they fired you that mean the job wasnt worth it. A new door will open and give you better opportunitys. I start today my OJI idk what to expect but imma give it my best if I get fired for stupid stuff then this job wasnt meant for me.
@@MarieAdventure Sorry I didnt reply just seen the email. I basically did the whole route by myself today my trainer was in the back just watching me. I had NO breaks working with him just rush rush rush. Im on my own route tomorrow Im taking my damn time like taking my breaks IDC expectations can be met later on. If they want speed I give to them later on right now Im just trying to be accurate and precise. I hope it works out for me if it doesnt a better opportunity will come. USPS does have real good pay I aint going to lie. Too me it seems no good what you do. If your slow they want you to speed up like crazy if your fast well you shouldn't be then they give you a shit ton more to do imma wait to find my pace.
@@Sabrinasways after the hiring documents you will be sent to orientation. Let me know when you receive orientation invitation, it means you are hired!
Working too hard ?? Is a reason for firing someone ?? That's stupid but you didn't die . your still so awesome . another door closes and another opens. You'll be okay, your also Filipino you guys are tough. You will be just fine.
How many call outs you have ? And I couldn’t make it to first day of orientation due to being sick. Does that mean I won’t able to apply for future jobs ?
@@MarieAdventure okay thank you. Haven't started the position actually. I missed the orientation because I was told to self quarantine for a few days. Don't know if that will affect future employment
I'm sorry that this happened to you. After listening to the full video, You said the policy was no call-offs in the 90 days. You took a sick day and you had an accident and called out. So far there have been two callouts within the 90 days. You also stated that you reported lazy employees and I'm sure these reports included supervisors. It's sad to say, but you got manipulated into resigning. They targeted you because of the reports. You have to realize that in most of these jobs where the supervisors are chosen from within, they have already established a good relationship with the higher management. What you call a lazy employee has a good relationship with supervisors. Therefore when you're new and reporting issues you will be targeted. Especially when you're in a probation period, they used you few callouts against you to get rid of you before you became a bigger problem. Sad but true🤷🤦
Life so unfair ofcourse if u dont know u really on trouble because u dont know the area .it was your first time there what they expect from u my gosh hheehe .But i loved the way u are sis u still smiled hahha and yes good thing u resigned and u can still apply in that company .BRAVO HOPE U WILL HIRE SOON SIS GOD BLESS U MORE
Her understanding of the big picture....the overall process is actually quite amazing esp considering how little time she was there. Truly awesome. A self-motivator.
BS, first step official discussion, 2nd letter of warning 3rd 1 week suspension 4th 2 week suspension 5th letter of removal. Your trouble started when you went to the PM.
If you can, contact a Union Rep at your plant see if you can get your job back. Sucky part about being a non-career employee in the first 90 they will throw everything at you. But if you survive that and dont have attendance issues and dont threaten anyone its hard to be fired. But if you were fired for call outs in your first 90 unfortunately they can and will fire you. And if you resign you can get rehired but if you get fired you cant work for USPS again.
So, from what I am getting from listening to you, you didn't get terminated for hard working, you got terminated for too many call out. I have no problem when someone get fired for too many lateness, call out, for not doing their jobs or for not following the job's rules, and regulations because at least you know you did something wrong, but what I hate is when a good, innocent, hard working employee does her job, never late, call out, follow the rules, does everything right, and yet get fired for no reason, no explanation, no nothing. That, I will never understand.
I only got one call off, the other is I had a car accident outside the usps buidling but that is counted as call off because I can't work that day even though I was whip-splashed. They didn't like me because I work hard and I call out my co-worker if they are lazy. You have not seen laziness compared to usps. They will literally sit down and let you do their job and get paid for it. But there are hardworking people too who have dignity. Until you worked at USPS, it's hard to fathom how laziness was tolerated.
That's disgusting. Isn't it funny the lazy ones are the ones who always have a job. You wondered how that happen, you would think the opposite. Won't be doing no one's job who's sitting down doing nothing. I'll just do what I am supposed to do, and call it the day. Doesn't usps has union? With the union if you were unfairly got terminated, they can fight it.
If they fire you then you can collect unemployment well idk of that’s correct if you can’t ever work at a federal job why did you get fired I’m confused 🤔
Girl! You seem to have great info, but following along with your English is just a little tough. I’m picking up what your putting down. Sorry about you losing your job right now during this Pandemic. Stay in good spirit.
sorry to hear that, I used to work for the post office as a cca for six months I started in January I resign because when i started the job wasn't hard or easy it was something in between but the problem started when the the covid 19 happens the job went from bad to worst, too much work and no time to eat sometimes i used to spent more than 8 to 12 hour walking with no lunch, i got skinnier but wasn't feeling healthy because i wasn't eating properly even tho i used to bring food with me it wasn't enough because i got hungry really quick, I eat my lunch in 2 minute i didn't have the time to take my 30 minute break so i was feeling exhausted the all day and even when i wake up the next day i was feeling like crap, everytime i was coming to my home i eat take shower and immediately go to bed i didn't have the time to do anything in my house or in my social life i don't know how I last 6 months to be honest. working as a mailman is not easy specially now with this pandemic with people ordering those stupid package amazon and amazon abusing the post office with that crap, sometimes I wonder if I was a working for post office or amazon, because I was tire of the freaking high volume of parcels coming from amazon and the freaking amazon sunday, I don't understand why we have to do amsunday they have to give us two days off so we can rest properly and have more energy to work, because working for the post office is the modern slavery they want you to be efficient instead of making their outdated system more efficient, for example when i see the amazon guys i see them using a more efficient delivering system they have a modern scanner that tell them where they need to go and how many package they have to deliver there and how they can load their truck according to system meanwhile the post office even tho they have a similar system with the mdd that shit doesn't even work and it makes so many mistakes so you end it using you navigation skill ,but the problem of being a mailman is when they send you to different stations and places and you have to figure out where you at, so yeah that's why amazon guys don't need to have experiences like the ad said but the post office don't want to invest in their infrastructure to make the job better for everyone instead they want you to be a multitasking guy that does everything for them because they short in staff, so yeah i used to do scanning in instead of casing when i was in my last station because they where short staff and the manager complaining about some carriers coming back late because her bosses where given her complain about some carrier coming back late but she didn't understood that the station is big and we are short in staff and the parcel volume on that station was ridiculous plus the bad infrastructure that need some improvement on this modern days.
so me and other CCAS quit the post office for being a slavery house and for abuse the worker specially the CCAS I quit because i was feeling sick and weak of the amount of work and stress you get from management and stupid work but i think overall the post office will be a better places to work if:
1:they stop blaming on the worker for everything specially supervisor those people tend to forget there was a time where there use to be carrier and know how tough the job can be.
2:they get more staff to complete the task they trained for, instead of sending people with no training on that area to fullfil post office needs and blame them for not knowing what to do.
3:improving their infrastructure and invest in better tool to make the work more efficient.
4:they raise the salary for they worker specially ccas they do much more work than the regular and less benefit and less payment than the regulars and also they should definitely get rid of amazon sunday and give the cca two days off like the regulars, they also should get rid of evil amazon and make better busines with the competition because amazon is taking advantage of the post office, but over all if the post office one day chance the way they work and treat worker then i will come back to work to make the post office great again.
you said it best, thank you.
DO THEY TRAIN YOU ON THE STATIONS OR THEY JUST THROW YOU THERE & THINK THAT U SUPPORT TO KNOW WHAT TO DO
@@nirewilliams8263 they give trainings of how to deliver mail, but they can also give you other task when they are short in staff, for example i used to scanned packages in the back with other clerks and put them in the relay bags but that job belongs to the processing clerks but scanning parcels it easy and also i see other cca do some others clerks jobs like being a widow clerk and that one can be frustrating specially when the customer are the one who love to argue for everything and believe me it can be frustrating to deal with them, people love to argue with federal worker calling them lazy without knowing they sometimes are being overworked and abused specially new guys, because the regulars workers can be lazy and supervisors can not pressure on them because they have option that we the new guys don’t, so if they don’t want more they can go home but can’t unless management said extra work it’s mandatory.
you were hired to do a job, you sound like you wanted to run the usps for your own agenda even though you have no knowledge of the big picture of the usps and what it takes to run a business/service and try to make it work, you call amazon's packages crap, but that crap is helping the usps pay your's and everyon'e's salery, you just did not like working for it. you did a great service to the USPS for self terminating yourself (QUITING), you see you are the type of people the usps does not want or need because, WINNERS NEVER QUIT AND QUITTERS NEVER WIN.
4. For so long the post office wanted to become a parcel delivery company but they don't have the infrastructure to do so lets take for example fedex ups and amazon they more organize when it come to deliver parcels for example they label the package sorted the parcel in the order they want you to deliver and a give you a specific amount and give you a modern gps to deliver in case you don't know the area, but in the post office you have none of that most of the stuff you have are outdate technology that doesn't work well and an old vehicle so you need to know the area and sorted the parcels yourself, and been in stations that I don't know the area because ccas are always being move to other stations they know the places, thats why amazon says that you dont have to have experience. for example: th-cam.com/video/TTNI0BpCIo0/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/m3tHZ_WxZsc/w-d-xo.html
this is more organize.
5. not all station are the same small station are more nicers than the bigger ones and the carrier on the small stations are also nice i used to be in a small and I did not want to leave that station but management dicided to move me to my last station and people over were less friendly I only spoke with the 3 cca over in that big station bc there were the only want who absolutely understand and appreciated the job of each other they didn't want me to leave but they understood that that my health was first.
Thank you for sharing, Harold. I wish you all the best.

I am glad the video helped you. How's your work with the State Revenue so far? What state?
It's not the job it's the people. I have taken less paying jobs because of better management.
For reals always go thru HR a person ??? Like if she’s not my post master or a supervisor regardless confirm with HR at any job
That is why the post office was such a great place to work at on the 80 and 90s all the employees were pro union and utilized there rights to fight back
Thank you so much Marie for helping me with the hiring process!!! I’m so sad it happened to you 😔
I applied for CCa back in March. Smh
Marie I hope all is well with you. Sorry about your situation, but I’m confident that you’ll bounce back even better. Wish you the very best!!
Awww... thanks for the thoughts.
I could have known but it's too late. Thank you.
She basically is saying they let her go because she called out to many times per policy. As a none career employee you cannot be late and you cannot call out more than 3 times until you make regular. So that’s why she was let go .
If you're over 90 days the union should help you. Who can dictate how many absences are "excessive"?
@@jeffw1267 that’s not true . I’ve called out like 15 times as a pse lol . And they are supposed to give u a letter of warning first !
This is false. As long as you’re not missing several days per month you won’t even be written up as long as you’re past 90 days. You get one PL day per month as well. You can use that as an off day if you like. Our supervisors are too busy to worry about someone being a few minutes late too.
Can you be rehired after being fired?
@@diiamond1986 yea I think there’s a certain amount of time to wait but you can reapply
From the USPS employee reviews and videos- it seems that all of us at some point should apply and see how long we can last.

How was the interview
Your gonna be okay. You opened yourself to new opportunities
I think you should have gone to the union before resigning.
thanks
She is referring to APPs machine that processes all parcels to sometimes it can be local zip codes or world mail all areas across US....clerk's key upstairs and mail handlers empty sacks on belt or dump APCs from dumpers and supervisors stand around being annoying lol they never cut machine off and when it jams or breaksdown for few mins everyone is happy it's a break "how intense it is some days"
You are spot on hehehe!
Just wishing you all the best and hope that if and when you get that next job, that you will have a better experience!

Does this happen to all USPS? I was planning to to apply there next week but now I thinking about it. Aloha from Hawaii.
No it doesn't. But in every workplace there is a BS. It's up to you, people are here for the money most of the time.
Thanks for the info.
mustafa, first congrats on making regular, Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win.

@DDrummer No. But no money in the world could make me go back to USPS.
Thanks. I moved.
Sorry this happen to you too.
I will never allow my kids to work for the usps its to toxic 💯
Agree.
Go Maintenance! Take the 955!!!
Passed that sucker just need to pass the interview
You must tell us what facility you were working. It is like that all over the country.
I know who you are talking about? The person on the bicycle! 🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Protest the Post Offices across the country. EVERYONE
Hey if they fired you that mean the job wasnt worth it. A new door will open and give you better opportunitys. I start today my OJI idk what to expect but imma give it my best if I get fired for stupid stuff then this job wasnt meant for me.
How's your new job? How many hours a day do you work? Are you a MHA or CCA?
How many call off you had I just got an email to sign hiring documents and it said I can’t miss any unexcused days in my 90 days
Yes, no call offs in 90 days. Inform them 1-2 weeks ahead if you made plans.
Marie Adventure thanks so when I come in to sign the hiring documents do I have the job or is there still another step ?
@@Sabrinasways after the hiring documents you will be sent to orientation. Let me know when you receive orientation invitation, it means you are hired!
Marie Adventure ok thanks I hope not long I just applied last sat and did everything this week.. I’ll let you know when I do the orientation
Working too hard ?? Is a reason for firing someone ?? That's stupid but you didn't die . your still so awesome . another door closes and another opens. You'll be okay, your also Filipino you guys are tough. You will be just fine.
thanks!
I took test for mail handle assistances I got 100 score . 2 days ago I took test . When they will response me for next step ?
2-3 weeks, its government so its slow and get used to it.
Marie Adventure thanks
I’m guessing that it is because of your channel and information on it. Very secretive company
Never heard got fired working to hard worked for them 40 years
Sir, high respect for 40 years of work. Please watch the whole video so you will get the whole story.
How many call outs you have ? And I couldn’t make it to first day of orientation due to being sick. Does that mean I won’t able to apply for future jobs ?
I think it depends on your supervisor.
Marie Adventure what do you mean ? Or can you elaborate
@@UnbearabIe Ask your supervisor about your situation, and how many call-offs is allowed. They didn't tell us about this so I didn't know.
@@MarieAdventure okay thank you. Haven't started the position actually. I missed the orientation because I was told to self quarantine for a few days. Don't know if that will affect future employment
@@UnbearabIe it wont!
I was re-hired and they demoted that supervisor to MHA. She end up driving the electric pallet hahaha!
Are you sure only 1 call off?
Life so unfair ofcourse if u dont know u really on trouble because u dont know the area .it was your first time there what they expect from u my gosh hheehe .But i loved the way u are sis u still smiled hahha and yes good thing u resigned and u can still apply in that company .BRAVO HOPE U WILL HIRE SOON SIS GOD BLESS U MORE

Her understanding of the big picture....the overall process is actually quite amazing esp considering how little time she was there. Truly awesome. A self-motivator.
i sorry to hear that but You are deserve better position hope you get new position
I got hired at the dock
It sounds like you were working as a PSE , but you were doing Mail Handlers job.
Correct.
BS, first step official discussion, 2nd letter of warning 3rd 1 week suspension 4th 2 week suspension 5th letter of removal. Your trouble started when you went to the PM.
I collapsed at the post office because they don't give us breaks or lunch. They fired me for collapsing.
Sorry it happened to you. What do you do now?
You probably are working at The city of industry plant. You were loading the belt that carries mail to the APBS.
Sorry that happened to you
If you can, contact a Union Rep at your plant see if you can get your job back.
What happened I worked there I got a letter I was laid off they said they don’t have enough work 🤷🏽♀️
you can claim unemployment benefits at EDD
When you mean called off you mean calling out of work? That’s what i got from it
It means calling in sick
Thanks
thanks too
They don't like when you call off too much. Next position just try come to work everyday, well on your scheduled time.
thanks
If they fire you then you can collect unemployment well idk of that’s correct if you can’t ever work at a federal job why did you get fired I’m confused 🤔
you can't collect unemployment if you got fired
I just did my interview pre employment and it was for cca and did finger printing
You are almost there, congrats!
Congrats did they do the drug test the same day
Do they interview before or after interview. My fingerprint is tomorrow, did not face any interview yet. Please advise!
Girl! You seem to have great info, but following along with your English is just a little tough. I’m picking up what your putting down. Sorry about you losing your job right now during this Pandemic. Stay in good spirit.
I'm working on my English.
When u resign did u get a letter and what did it say?
They gave me a copy of my resignation and usps release.
@@MarieAdventure ok thanks
@@MarieAdventure they did not a copy of resignation. Just letter in mail
