Interesting. I removed the battery without disconnecting the display, seems like an unnecessary step to me. It IS kinda fiddly to do that with the display connected, but disconnecting the display seems harder to me, so i try to avoid that.
One major problem with these instructions. It's not explicit that if you DON'T mess up the gasket that you don't have to tear it down that deep. So if you're following this linearly you end up pulling it apart more than necessary before realizing you only needed to do that if you screwed up you gasket. Major potential to damage the watch unnecessarily following these instructions.
this makes no sense the screen does NOT even come off this easy! any other way to get it off without REALLY scratching my screen up more then i have already???? :( cause i most def do not want to spend the $299 that apple wants to charge for a battery replacement out of warranty
Hi alex, i need your help.. my apple watch series 2 is always showing a overheat warning issue problem (looks like power reserved mode with temperatur icon not bolt) before overheat issue, my apple watch is low battery less than 10%, so i put into magnetic charger, green snake for a couple hour and than i decided to force restart using side button and digi crown.. apple logo blinking.. and the overheat warning problem is show on the lcd.. please help whats the problem is.?? Thanks before
Hi I found a apple watch series 2 and I buy charge to check if it's working nut I failed it doesn't charge and no logo appearing on the screen can you give me idea about it,should I throw it? It become warm when I try to charge it,thank you
I cut myself using a curved blade. I ended up using an ultra-thin flexible metal pry spudger instead. Coated the tip with isopropyl alcohol and did not manage to break the gasket.
Your stupid video caused me to ruin my watch. You said I needed to take the face plate leads off. When I removed tape as instructed, it tore the leads loose from the connectors and that step did not need to done anyway just to replace the battery.
I watched this video like 25 times trying to replace a battery in mine. You make it seem so easy but omg it was not. Thank you
The screen does NOT come off that easy!
in every video they using pre-opened watches, its pretty hard to open, not so easy as you shows
Did you tear the gasket while trying to remove the display?

You didn't show how to put the new battery in...
Who wants to take one out and not know how to put the new one in?
Tim Leckenby it’s just reversing the taking out part. I guess you can watch the video backward loll
Does the ifixit kit come with new screen adhesive?

Useless for replacing the battery

😎🇺🇸👍 nice work thanks for the update.
Rick Tokle bonjour je suis français 🇫🇷
But not clean work
I refuse to listen to any instruction video that drowns out the instructor’s voice, with stupid not needed background music.
0:50 (we don’t want to burn our lcd) hey genius it’s OLED you should know that by now
