Wonderful. Listen to Stan at 10.15, he’s a funny guy too. Stan Kentons era could only have happened in the USA. He was around when the precision and daily repetition of the Hollywood film studio musos, bred superb brass sections and instrumental soloists. Out of this came the progressive jazz arrangers who heard Stans music in their heads and managed to get it on music scores for him and his band.

This particular episode was later used for the 4-LP set called “The Kenton Era” on the Capitol label in 1955 called “Epilogue”.
