    I'm starting FA training literally next week and I have so many questions. As the type of person that likes to be over prepared rather than thinking I've done enough, I've been binge watching 👀 with FOMO for the last couple hours lol and you've answered so many questions. Thanks 😁✌🏾
    Also the way you talk is a lot easier for me to listen to compared to other TH-camrs.

    I'm not a fan of crashpad. Commuting into work is working out for me. I can't do a number of people and one bathroom. I always get trips.

    You know as I was watching you speak about the options and then the miraculous thing and under budget, I said, God that’s nobody but you. You were saying like you didn’t know then you said it was God. I instantly liked and subscribed to your channel. You better know when the master is in the midst.

    I use to commute from dfw to ewr for work 😖
    Then I later transferrd to Iah. Loved my crashpad in EWR (40+ women but never more 15 ppl there at once) that consisted of women from 5 different airlines( United, republic, go jets, expressjet and idk the other one) but that what made the experience so much better and the owner was always respectful . It had housekeeping everyday, a shuttle and grocery runs, cold beds. Everyone was nice and everyone was CLEAN. It had 8 bedrooms and 3 bunks in each. 3 kitchens, 3 living rooms, a luggage room with closets for uniforms, you were given two draws, 1 draw in one of the kitchens, 5 bathroomsand 3 washer/dryers.
    Houston was absolutely horrible. The crashpad had nothing but 19 y/o Mesa flight attendants. Dude literally put beds in walk-in closet and call it a room. Had roaches and bed bugs.Had to move out on the first week and get an apartment.

    Yea I needed this? Bc I did a crash pad at my old airlines before I got furloughed I was paying 350 a month and I didn’t like it. So this go around I was going to commute from atl as well like the day before. But like u said U can be called the first day of the 4th day. So yes it’s a lot to think about

    It’s no one’s business how long we use the bathroom! Just the fact the one crashpad wanted to put a limit on how long you use the bathroom! Just NO! Right now I am in preemployment testing with Delta. I hope I dont need a crashpad, but if I do Im getting ready to think of all the pro’s and con’s. Great video! Thank you!

      Try getting with your classmates to split the cost of a hotel room. Also, since you are only an hour away, I would request the reserve 1 shift and just catch a flight back home after your reserve time is up since your just an hour away.

    • @realpristine

    Do you have your reserve status set to “yes”? Once I did that they would post my trips a week or two in advance so I already know where I’ll be going and for how long. I mean, it may be different in Denver but it works for me at SFO

    • @realpristine
      @realpristine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve kept it on call first and I still wouldn’t get called. I’ve only gotten assigned a trip in advance twice. They’re sending so many new people here that it’s making my position high on the call first list🥴

    I'm currently sitting in an airport after being bumped from my third flight. There are no jumpseats on any of the planes in the airports I fly out of. I've been sitting here for 6 hours, the next flight doesn't leave for 2 hours and there are 7 people on standby before me. But hey...it could be worse. Like on my way home yesterday it took me 13 hours to get home. It should have taken 5 hours. Any suggestions? Can't move because I can't afford rent out of my new base and my daughter needs to finish her last year of high school back home.

    I don't know if your strategy would work long term in terms of cost, convenience, stress,...etc. In winter time, commuting will be difficult and if you miss a flight and are late then it is trouble. Crash pads are not that bad. First of all, you're not going to be at the pad with the other 13 people at the same time, often you will have the place alone and you need to learn to adapt and adjust. Meaning...you can apply your make up in your room with a mirror as others may need to use the bathroom. You sound a bit of a Diva to me. It is all about being flexible.
