This sounds like such a fun treat for weddings. I have a wedding coming up and gong to do something similar but in 35mm. I do have a Yachica 124, but not the best for portraits
That holga 120n with a external flash...does it have a battery slot? The model of 120n sold at local amazon doesnt have. Or the battery slot is inside the flash (im very optmist today lol)?
i'm new to all this and still learning so thanks for the tips!! with the off camera flash (i have the same one), is the flash supposed to go off automatically? if not, are you pressing the test button and then taking the shot? thanks!
When you’re using Holga with built in flash are you always using the flash, or can you still take shots without it? First time ever using Holga and I just purchased the one with the flash
it's not medium format but there is the fujifilm instax mini evo! It's digital and has a lot of neat fun tricks that you can print on to the instant film. Definitely not going to give you medium format vibes but it looks fun!
I'm actually not sure where to get one! There's probably other options that would work.... but this is the one I have (Changyin) www.pentaxforums.com/accessoryreviews/changyin-cy-20-flash.html
Why is it called a toy camera? No child could take a photo with this thing as he or she could easily produce acceptable photos using the usual gizmo laden Sonys, canons or even Nikons. Holga is a simple tool but it needs a lot of skill to produce phtographs like those of Michael Kenna and others. It is a very serious tool in fact and no Toy.
super cool video :]

Such a fun little camera to use - Goes to show you don't need much to produce incredible shots haha!
the original holga what flash did you use, and does it just go off one power? or does it auto adjust depending on the focusing distance?

The battery compartment is inside the camera, so it can only be changed when the film back is off.

the flash has on on/off button. Set the dial on top to W for white. The other settings are R(ed) Y(ellow) B(lue)
@@hectoracevedo4545 thanks! I’m getting familiar with it!!!
What a fun camera. It’s almost annoying there isn’t digital stuff like this lol
