I’ve notice in Japan they take their time to detail stuff and in America they just slap on a printed on picture

To be honest I'm from India and I'm from West Bengal our uniform is quite similar we have a white half sleeved shirt and a midi pleated blue skirt ! I kinda liked it but at times it was just too shabby 😂

I loved the ribbon! Thanks for those explanations about the uniform. Sometimes its difficult to understand all the symbolism of Japan's unif.

I wish we could have winter uniforms... Too bad I live in a tropical area where it's always hot
But when its warmer than usual, you get too hot in the uniform!! Ar least it looks cute!
where i live our weather gets really hot and really cold but we have to wear only 1 uniform and it’s horrible. i boil during summer and freeze in winter
Omg my uniform had a really thick collar and because of the tropical weather I got a really bad heat rash
a little late, but your school's winter uniform is the best i've seen so far out of other school uniforms in japan
I LOVED my winter uniform too! I would've loved it a little more if we had a red ribbon instead of the navy one tho ;^)

i from United st of America and in are school we don't uniform but i went to go to japan school to wear there uniform i went to how it feels to wear them

Currently, I try to come up with an outfit design that should be based on this kind of Japanese school uniform. I really struggled to find one with an actually worn school uniform (especially with the scarf). This video helped me very much with that.

our uniform is just loos trousers and kameez and and in winters its just a hoodie on top
i wish we had multiple informs and i just love skirts

I have a question, are you allowed to wear cardigans over any of the uniforms? And are you allowed to wear a jacket outside in the cold weather?
Edit: Are you allowed to wear knee high socks with the winter uniform?
Unfortunately, we were only allowed the cardigan on the winter uniform. The cardigan was optional, but it was only for the winter uniform. Also, I don't think we were allowed to wear jackets! I haven't heard anything about not being able to wear jackets, but NOBODY wore jackets, so I was like "okay"
We were only allowed black tights in the winter, but people worked there way around to stay warm. I wore black thigh highs UNDERNEATH my black tights and you couldn't tell. I also wore long sleeves under my winter uniform to stay warm too. It's all about layering!

Yassss, you noticed Lev! I bought him for 500 yen, super cheap! I believe my high school was actually just a public school! The winter uniform was my favorite
I had to do lots of reasearch to find how to tie a damn scarf tie bow thing, cuz all the other vids are cosplays thanks ❤️

Thank you, the dark blue uniform was definitely my favorite! Also, it all depends on which program you choose. I know some programs might be more picky with 18/19 year olds, but some are more laid back! I'd contact the program you're thinking about going with to see what their regulations are with 18/19 year old students!
in my country we have a school that uses similar uniforms, but as it is always hot we only have one version, i think it would be better to have longer skirts, it looks much more comfortable

Did you get your own when I live in a host family. Do you choose if you what to buy the uniform or it's a donate.
My school provided mine, which was donated so unfortunately I didnt get to keep my uniform. My host mom paid for my slippers which I could have kept but I left then at school and forgot to take them home so they're gone now :^(

You're lucky. Some girls have to wear tights with their uniform everyday that there's school during the school year even in hot weather. Some of them saying that they want the girls to look modest
(I was born a girl) Im going to a Japanese school in year 11 for an exchange thing, what is the possibility they would let me wear a boy uniform?
If you're female, it's most likely that you'll have to wear a girl uniform. I wasnt sure if you meant that you identify as male, but that really depends on the school. Most likely you'll wear a girl uniform ;^)

If your referring to high school exchange, I believe the minimum age is 15 and the maximum age is 18 (but all programs are different)! If you're 19, I believe some programs can work with that ;^)

The school I attended before only have summer uniform... But hey they have short skirts like way above the knee for female so yeah 😏
So what is the Japanese school dress code do the girls have to wear a color what happened if a girl without a color
I'm not entirely sure what the question is asking, but to me, the strictest rule they had about the girls uniforms would be the socks. We had to wear white ankle socks if we did not wear tights. If you wore the black tights, you had to wear black socks. Also, when we were in the gym uniform, you had to wear white socks and it was sort of a pain to change the socks back and forth, so sometimes the girls would just wear our black socks and hope the gym teachers wouldn't notice lol (sometimes they did)
Hi :> is there an specific school you must attend to become an exchange student in japan? And is it okay to become an exchange student there even if you can't speak japanese well?
I went through the program AFS and they found the school for me so it wasnt in my hands to choose! I didnt mind though because I loved my school! And the program doesnt mind if your Japanese isnt great! Other programs might require background knowledge on Japanese, but I didnt need any!

@@jujuuuuu1851 just half a year! I would reccomend a full year though, because 6 months is when I statyed getting more comfortable at school/classmates unfortunately!

@@jujuuuuu1851 Definitely! Though, it does depend on your program. Some programs require you to be able to have a certain knowledge of Japanese, but my program did not require any background knowledge. I self-studied, but still only knew the basics (greetings, or you know, typical anime basics lolol) and I still did just fine. In a way, you learn way faster going to Japan with little knowledge because you'll learn so much! Excited for you!

It was an old student's uniform that they donated, so I didn't have to pay! But I also didn't get to keep it, unfortunately!

I realy want to go to japan to study abroad for the hole year I'm going to I dont know where in japan Tokyo Osaka or kyoto which area of japa. I would wait until you're in high school to go! if you're going through a program, I don't believe you can take your dog :^(

It's called a dress "code". Most Americans are never exposed to this unless they were in a JROTC.

If you wearing a skirt that are visible and easily see through, then I recommend you wear a shorts for hiding your "sake". Even though in anime, girls skirt "sake" are being blowing by the wind for no reason and boy's dream will be destroyed. If that happens in real life, I'll be mad 😂
