What a difference 11mths makes! I walked this path Jun 23 toward the end of last years heatwave. Everything was so dry from start to finish - with the sun behind you all the way, the backs of my legs were heaily tanned whilst the fronts remained white.
Must have been hard going in that heat. I had pretty good weather apart from the first day and even then it was very warm. I found the heat made it harder going especially when climbing Ingleborough and Whernside. It was easier over the Howgills as it was much cooler. Hope you enjoyed the route and didn't suffer from sunburn.

Finally got round to making a start on these. Damp and foggy start but loved the barge name 😂
@@pipes-hikes despite the rain and fog, it was very muggy - I was so hot with my waterproofs on. Yes the barge has a great name doesn't it!
