    Steve, at this time, absolutely the BEST "how-to" video for SHO - Hubble Palette processing. From your many videos, I've used a variety of workflows, techniques, and new process applications and scripts, and this tutorial covers the most relevant aspects of this workflow. There are so many nuances that need to be captured - will require a couple of views to get them all documented. I'm updating my written workflow and project template that you covered today. Will be re-processing the Flame Nebula using this video - expecting a much better rendition. Clear Skies, Clear Minds, and Hearts...

    Yet another Master Class to round-off the year 👍👏👏.
    Great explanation on the use of GHS.
    Please keep up the great work and wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and clear-skies 2023!!

      Agreed, I've watched probably a dozen videos on GHS and have struggled to wrap my head around it. This was the first time it actually clicked for me!

    Steve, Thanks for the workflow, tips, and tricks. The subtlety with stars really makes a difference; and love to go back to Photoshop, like going home.

    One more request - do a tutorial on capturing and processing a "dark nebula"...not many of these have been produced, and can't think of a better producer for this topic.

    • @enteringintospace4685
      @enteringintospace4685  ปีที่แล้ว

      That would make a good project video to see if I could even get a decent dark neb image in the skies I'm in. Giving me ideas!😊

    This is a brilliant tutorial video. Although I shoot OSC images, once you combined your channels there are so many techniques to use. I have just started extracting luminance and adding it back in, so your method and process is great.

    Amazing Steve, truly incredible image. I’m going mono in Jan and will definitely use your workflow tutorial. Thank you for always delivering rich content that is easy to follow and understand. You have helped me improve my processing skills over this past year. Keep up the great work. Always an inspiration. Happy New Year! Clear skies and my favorite clear minds

    Thanks Steve!! Another great tutorial 👍.. I have been waiting 11 months now for a Howe Glatter laser colminator, looks like its going to take another 5 or 6 months. One dude in Colorado makes these and I think he is 80...😂

    Just when I think you've pulled a rabbit out of your hat, here ya go again. You have an entire fluffle now. I laughed at your Chuck Woolery reference. Great image Steven. I'm attempting to incorporate some of your workflow of my current project: IC2087. The problem is, Mars was crossing it the nights I imaged it. Dark nebulae and bright planets don't go well together. Clear minds and clear skies! -Jason

    Love this vid! Great techniques overall and cool star method. Really enjoy your casual style..you don't have to sound like a scientist that knows it all to teach me! haha
    And yeah, blurX is cool...especially on stars, but if I could only have one of Russel's plugs it would be noiseX all day!!! I use it on EVERY image and it never disapoints!!

    nice job on this, and nice star tweaks at the end. I am a little surprised you didn't run the BlurX before initial stretching! it really tightens thing up a bit from the start. But great image and love the color adjustments....i'm reworking some data earlier this year, and following along with you doing my GHS, thanks!

      Thanks! Yeah I'm working on a blur X video as we speak. I agree it works wonders I just wanted to wait to use it on a galaxy for my next video. Somthing more close up!

    • @gomanastro
      @gomanastro ปีที่แล้ว

      @@enteringintospace4685 for kicks, you should drop BlurX on your Lum before stretching...what happens to the bigger star....as well as overall sharpness.....seems like a good image to try it on. I learned a trick from Cuiv...if not a lot of stars, or you want to be more exact, run script:image analysis: FWHME and get the median FWHM, drop that number into the PSF diameter in BlurX.

    Nice!! I love the technique! I have been finding MLT giving me a some weird results at times. Maybe to aggressive. I've been using Local Hist. Transportation. To get my details to pop a bit more. Still haven't mastered your "star pop" method in PS. Seems to leave rings around my stars. I'll keep practicing.

    Great work coach! What gain setting do you normally use with your 1600mm? And do you change it depending on narrowband, broadband, or Bortle rating?

    • @enteringintospace4685

      Thanks!! Honestly fornthe 1600 I use unity gain across the board. 139/50

  • @Safestassets

    How do you star align? I cant find a tutorial anywhere. Every single tutorial assumes you already have this step done. Drives me nuts! lol

    • @enteringintospace4685
      @enteringintospace4685  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We suck! Lol.
      Look for stair alingment in process
      At the top drag and drop a reference in , the drag the carrot over to the image's you want to alingment.
      Or drag them into the center box and lick apply. Good luck!

    Steve, have found applying blurx and noisex after channel combination is better than doing before combination to each channel separately?

    • @enteringintospace4685
      @enteringintospace4685  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I actually only apply them to my luminance. The sho or rgb get blurred out with convolution.
