Just purchased a 250mm Sky-Watcher F4 Newtonian and of course it rained for 40 days and 40 nights.(Big and Heavy) First Light was on NGC5128. Centaurus A and I processed it using this PI method of yours. Excellent! Only wish I could remember what I did without watching the hole thing again. Enjoyed watching it and again always Entertaining and never boring. Thank you.

Once again, Your video has helped me bigtime.
I found the solution to the problem I was having with EZ Decon and Starnet. I had to edit the script to refer to Starnet2 on line 240 in the EZ Common script. After that, it works perfectly.
    Thanks again.

Really effective, and the technique to gently push the colors using the luminance extracted from the image is awesome! Thank you for this video !
The point where I get not much good results is when trying this technique on M31, taken with 480mm on 4/3'' sensor and containing lot of stars, and removing stars, I get a many artifacts around the "holes" left by removed stars (I used Starnet2 with 128 or 256 tile size), and they stay of course after putting back stars on the processed starless image, even if not too much visible I wonder how much they will be annoying in a final 40cm print...
Anyhow, this tutorial is awesome !

@@enteringintospace4685 Indeed I did. Your method is more incremental and has more control. Reprocessing some of my galaxies and I am pleased with the results. And all done without using Curves! Although Curves was useful to tone down the stars as you did in your video. I am wondering how this technique would work with Nebula. I would think it may be doable.

Pls can I ask 1 question: I have an OSC camera and from WBPP I have until now 1 image file output, I guess you call this an RGBfile (I know that I could get separate RGB files but until now I have not done it). My question is: do you think your technique here would work if I extracted the luminance from my image file and thereafter proeeded as you have done (from your point where you combined R+G+B, so I have basically same files as you from that point)? Many thanks!

Thanks for the video, it is showing some good tricks. I have however 2 questions: 1-Why would bringing out the colors using curves transformation be "not the way to do it" versus the way you did it with the LRGB combination tool? And why are you applying deconvolution to the color image before your use it later on? Maybe you can explain. Thanks for your time.

Very similar to my workflow up until a few months ago (although I did much more attenuated noise reduction in multiple steps in linear and non-linear). Since I got my hands on Ross' XTerminators, my workflow is about 1/10 the time.
Integration -> R,G,B registration to integrated L -> combine RGB channels -> DBE -> SPCC -> BlurXTerminator -> first NoiseXTerminator pass with medium reduction -> HTs -> Combine L with RGB -> Curves / Saturation -> and if needed StarXTerminator and remove artifacts left over from integration.
Additionally, with Ross' tools, the quality actually increased although my workflow is MUCH faster now. Those tools aren't cheap, but MAN are they mighty.
And even though they are AI based, the AI doesn't invent any new details, just accentuates existing ones.

Not with rgb images just narrow band.
