Jazz We Grew Up On

Nice Jazz by Stan Getz that we heard when we were growing up. These days you don't hear Jazz being pushed anywhere on television or many other formats. Even if you weren't into Jazz you still knew the artist names, like Dizzy Gillespie, Coltrane, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Cannonball Adderly, these were household names and then when you got older you investigated them, and once you heard them, you were hooked, am I right?

Teacher, Jazz is big again..Kamasi Washington ,Esperanza Spalding , Robert Glasper , Ali Shaheed Muhammad , Adrian Younge , Nubya Garcia, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah and so many more..these are all young people...JAZZ IS ALIVE AND ITS HOT.. you just have to be aware.
