Another good video, love to watch them. KC, are you going to get the new ZS EV Mod2? I've had this one for nearly 2 years, New one on order

Thank you for your kind words 😊
I'm holding off the purchase, mainly for cost reasons, I can't justify buying a new car as of yet. However, I certainly believe the new ZS EV is an excellent car, and I you certainly won't be disappointed!

Good video with lots of info.
Glad to see in UK to help viewers from UK about what we can expect. Could you please possible to hook up with obd like battery temp and may be actual SOC? Like before you set off and also the size and type of tyre. Great sometimes u mentioned about your tyre pressure.
Also before you reach the rapid charger or when charging at it (unfortunately in UK 50 is still rapid) the stats of trip on top of what u normally provide, may be wind, elevation, road/weather condition, battery temp. Also much more importantly at which cabin temperature at which fan speed cause heating kills the EV.
Also in this video it'll great for how long you charge at those rapid and at what point rate drop and so on. So that the ability of the EV can be understand.
Also do u know whether MG can heat up the battery (not cabin) or not; in order to achieve best rate from charger. I've seen some pics of MG5 can manually preheat battery. If your MG do have it could it be possible to apply it before set off and rapid charge please.
    Thanks

Hi, a very interesting video. I have an MG5 on order, collecting with the new reg in March. What is confusing is how to prepare for charging the vehicle on long journeys. Do I need a load of apps for different chargers? Do I need to pre pay on any of them? Do they all take contactless credit card payments or do I need lots of cards in my wallet ?.. what would be your advice for public chargers... best apps etc. I am having a PodPoint fitted in my driveway... so daily driving will not be a problem... however using public chargers on long journeys is an unknown...
Look forward to hearing from you :)

    HI KC
Could you please do a comparison between the "old " ZSEV and the "New" Long range ? Thanks.

      Thanks for watching!
I'll see if I can get the two together, may take a while given the current shortages.

How much did it cost charge wise for that journey?

I think I calculated to be £35 all in.

I have found the dual headed GS Chargers are hit n miss, Cambridge dual head charger can only charge on one at a time, and only delivers 37kW peak.

All GS chargers at the moment can only charge one at a time, and yes I've noticed speeds vary wildly. I've heard rumours that's because although the chargers themselves have been upgraded, some of the cabling may not be to take dual 120kW.
