Green Classic Space Helmet is FINALLY here! - All 11 Lego Classic Spaceman colours

- I finally got the Green Classic Space Helmet to go in my Every Spaceman is awesome display.
The Green Astronaut is no longer the odd one out, and the other spaceman can stop being mean to him (some people can be so mean, when you look different to them!!!!)
Finally, the Lego spacemans can play Among Us without getting suspicious on green.
yeah, he was looking well sis with that dodgy looking helmet !
@@MinifigJez Sis? Stop with that toxic masculinity, Mr. Jez!
(Of course, possibly it's just a typo...)
@@hakanstorsater5090 erm... maybe just Apple autocorrecting the word sus ???
(and how do you know if I identify as masculine, to facilitate me projecting toxic masculinity!?!?)
;)
@@MinifigJez and now they feel suspicious on dark blue
Found the green helmet on Lego Pick-A-Brick recently and ordered me a bunch.
Due to nostalgia, I'm actually more of a Futuron guy, though. But for some reason, all Lego's throwbacks to Futuron / Space Police 1 has included redesigns.
Also, I went by my local Lego store recently, where the staff was dressed up in purple Classic Space T-shirts as a marketing gimmick. I got really jealous, but those T-shirts are probably quite difficult to find for non-employees.
Yes, the green helmet was added to Lego'sPick-A-Brick website on a week or Sao ago.
You're right that they haven't done much Futuron tributes over the years, there was that greening in the City Lego store set.
I doubt you could get an official purple leg space t-shirt, but I have got a red one, a black one, and a blue one, all bought online... I'm sure someone will be making purple ones.
I swear, LEGO only cares about the star wars and classic space fandoms. It's really sad
No, they also care about: City fans, Ninjago fans, Modular fans, 18+ set fans, and all the other themes that sell really well and earn them lots of money!
If they would care about space they would give us Classic space sets with all colors of minifigs. And would stop this collecting thing were every figure cost like 10$ now. I really wish for the classics to return and for many sets to just never retire. Like the Millennium Falkon, we always have a version we can buy, sma with City there is always a police and Firestation to buy. Why not the same with classic space and castle ?
Jez - Have you casted your vote for the next new Classic Space Minifigure colour to be included in the up-and-coming Lego Ideas Minifigure Prize Machine? I voted for teal. Here's hoping!
Yes I've already voted and a video is on its way, hopefully out sometime this evening.
Edit: It's now uploaded... and you can see who I voted for!
No it’s dark blue
You got it! Congratulations on completing the collection, all I need is the blue and green helmet (also full gold torsos for white red and black)
Thanks!
Green ones are getting more common on Bricklink now, so hopefully it won't be long until you complete your display.
Congratulations! 🎉🍾 I’ve been waiting for Bricklink or Pick-a-brick in the United States to finally get these helmets so I can finish off my green astronauts too.
There's a lot of people selling them on Bricklink now, but I can't see any in the USA yet, seem to all be in Europe, mainly Germany.
Definitely not on PAB yet... but I hope you manage to find one soon.
Thanks for commenting.
I got my helmet from the exact same seller in the Germany! I was inspired by your original video and literally just put my helmet on Friday!
That's really funny! - someone else commented earlier that they TOO got their green helmet from the same seller in Germany!
After all he was the cheapest, but he's sold out now, so the cheapest on Bricklink is £3.51 from a store in Italy !
Thanks for commenting.
I;ve been waiting years for this moment, but you can also modernize black and blue for around 70 usd
But I like the 1970’s and 80’s ones, I want to vintage-ize the new ones !!!
You got the doctor who lego ideas set! 😁 I don’t know why i didn’t subscribe when i saw the original every space man is awesome video but I’m subscribing now!
Yes I love the Doctor Who set, I only really got it for the closed version of the Tardis and the minifigs. I've been collecting Lego (as an adult) for 25 years, so I bought it when it came out in 2015.
Thanks for the subscribe, I really appreciate it.
Thanks for commenting too.
@@MinifigJez I think it was definitely a missed opportunity to not make a Doctor Who theme but, maybe they’ll make a theme now that the show is thriving again. Although i sadly doubt that :(
@@Blazing_Ninja They also did 2 Lego Dimensions Doctor Who sets, but they were just a mini Tardis, then figures for K9, a Cyberman, another Doctor and another Dalek, and I think that would be the problem, once you have the Tardis, it would mostly then be just characters. I'm not sure how they'd make a whole theme out of it (not that I wouldn't want them to!!!)
@@MinifigJez I would love it if they made all the different tardis interiors that include the doctor and villains that go with those era’s! And i have both dimension packs, and i would get more cybermen but they’re kind of expensive on bricklink!
@@MinifigJez youtubes being annoying so ill tell you the site in a different comment, but they make custom doctor who minifigures that are definitely expensive, but worth it!
I feel like the ones that require to be pieces together were purposefully spread throughout sets by Lego.
I think you're probably right, but... it then makes it more of an adventure trying to put them together!!!
Amazing video glad you got a green helmet can't wait for your next video was it easy for you to build the classic spaceman display amazing

The good thing about the new city space figs is that the torso are all the same so it’s just a matter of swapping out the arms to whatever color you want. It reminds me of the futuron faction
That's a very good point. You'd have to substitute the backpack and duel-folded helmet for something slightly different, but you could effectively make a space fig of ANY colour!!! I love Futuron as a theme. The'd be SLIGHTLY more difficult to do because they had their coloured stripe across their shoulder, but Lego did sometimes mix and match torso/arm/helmet/leg colours: brickset.com/minifigs/category-Space/subcategory-Futuron
Thanks for commenting.
This is very cool! I always wanted to try and collect all of these guys but surprisingly the newer colors are always way more expensive than even the old original ones cost today. So I probably won’t be able to afford them all any time soon. But I have started collecting all the Futuron figures which were the version of space men right after the original Classic Space figures. I only need one more color and then I’ll have all 5 of them. It’ll be a smaller and less impressive collection but I still think it’ll be pretty cool
Yes, it will be a VERY cool collection. Futuron were a GREAT set of figures. You can see mine in the top left corner of the right-hand photo at MinifigJez.com - but that was at my old house, they are currently all in storage.
I hope you mange to get them all, but I don't want to give you extra stress, but Brickset says that there were 7 different colour variations, not 5!
Some are just the same colour torso, with different coloured legs or helmet...
eg Black with yellow legs, red with green legs, Black with white helmet etc.
You can see the whole theme's minifigs here: brickset.com/minifigs?query=futuron
@@MinifigJez Yeah thanks! I’m just focused on getting the fully colored ones for now. The original 4 main colors and the newer green one that came from a Lego City set in 2015. But if I come across the others after that or find some extra torso’s for sale I’ll probably pick up the other ones. I really just like the look of those five fully colored ones together. But if I do find the others I might as well complete the full set.
@@lukestarkiller1470 That's cool. I have the original 4 and two of the colour variations, and I KNOW I have that City set with the Green guy in it (somewhere!)
Which one are you missing?
The original 4 aren't very expensive (the red one seems a bit higher in price, but he was in less sets) The City Green one seems a bit rarer than teh originals though.
@@MinifigJez the red one was actually the one I was missing but I just found someone selling the torso for pretty cheap and the rest of the pieces will be pretty easy to get. So I should be able to complete the set of main colors pretty soon
@@lukestarkiller1470 Awesome! - I'm glad you're gonna get the complete display sorted soon.

Yes, I think you are correct. but.. I think it's quite fun to track down all the parts needed to make the grey, the green and the purple ones!!!
In my opinion, you should also change the everyone is awesome's green color to match the spaceman. They're a bit different. (like you did with gray)
Yes, I completely agree, I have all the parts (tiles, 2x3 bricks curved bricks and plates, except for the 1x2 bricks, so I must buy some of them and get the stripe replaced!

Nice video. I am waiting on Bricks and pieces to update. Monkey Kid sets parts always show up there down the road. Something seems a bit sketchy with the quantities that are available on bricklink in Europe. One store has nearly 200 units for sale. I know that they get some sets early but having that many in stock from a $200 set is off. There must be some other source of the helmets in Europe.
I thought EXACTLY the same thing.
I do know of a Lego Factory store in Germany (never been there myself, but I've seen German TH-camrs visiting the place, it's like a normal Lego store pick-a-brick wall, but you just fill up bags with what you want!)
And the four sellers with the highest quantities (192, 87, 47 & 30) all live in Germany, so I wonder if the Factory store has them in, which like you say, means it shouldn't be too long before they are on Lego.com's pick-a-brick.
I hope you manage to get one soon.
Thanks for commenting.
@@MinifigJez I have seen videos of the Factory Store. But those helmets do not seem the type of item that would be offered there. However, like you have never been there either. So who knows what exactly is being sold there. With the new Factory Building going up in Virginia, I wonder if parts will be sold there similar to the factory in Germany. Granted, Virginia is also not readily accessible to me but it is closer. Maybe it will make it easier to get better bulk buys from bricklink sellers locally.
@@bricks_in_space I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!
In the mean time living in a small town on the south coast of England, I doubt I’ll ever get any substantial Lego supplies near me !!!!
@@MinifigJez Thanks. Ah yes, the wonderful inconvenience of location is a powerful thing with this small plastic brick obsession we have. Mostly I am collecting the older sets, though. Those old greys and trans neon parts are always on my wanted lists.

Have you ever considered filming your collection and putting it on your channel?
I just need to get green and a helmet for Grey. Im hoping Lego makes the new helmet in grey, i mean they did it for every color except Blue and Grey, even black was used for mickeys nose
That's cool, I'm trying to be the opposite and have as many original style helmets as possible, I hadn't thought that you could get them all in the new shape apart from blue and grey.
Lego have now made Dark Grey, so hopefully they will make you happy and bring out Light Grey too!
Thanks for commenting
You gotta also update all the old thin chin helmets to the newer reissue thicker chin ones so that the helmets will all look the same for real. They have the new reissue thick chin helmet in every color there except for the grey, which I guess you can continue to use the old grey until they release a bluish grey one
WOW... that's getting down to the REAL details!
I was actually preferring to go the other way and have as many old thin chin straps as I can. The white guy is actually a new one, not one of my old ones. and the red one is the middle-age reinforced old chin strap, where as the grey is REALLY old and the 1978 super-thin version!
It'll have to stay like this for now, as other astro's are being used for other things at the moment.
Thanks for commenting.
Maybe have them in the order they were released, so red n white first, then yellow etc.
I hadn't thought of that order.
I re-ordered it from the original set order, as I wanted it in true rainbow order, and it made most sense to me, to have the black next to the next darkest one (brown) with the other two monochrome's next to it (grey then white)
When I have time I might try putting them in "release" order and see what it looks like - Thanks for the idea.
can you make every Lego frog is avesome because surprisingly there are 16 colors of them 😄
OH MY GOODNESS!
I don;t know why I hadn't;t t thought of it sooner... I;m adding it to my list of videos to make, right now!
Thanks for the comment.
Just the grey tanks and helmet which are in old light grey to go
When I chose mine from the ones I had, I found the pair that had faded JUST the right amount, to make them look the closest to new grey that I find!
I'm happy with the colour match that I've got, but I;d be really surprised and pleased if Lego release both parts in new grey too!

Awesome 👍
Thanks!
Maybe you can play among us with these guys, (And maybe with a custom cyan and lime) now that u finally got the fitting green helmet

How much would it cost to acquire all the spacemen
That's a very difficult question to ask, as it depends on what condition you want them in, if you don't mind that some of the gold might be rubbed off the old ones, and also which country you live in, as prices seem to vary a LOT from place to place.
But check Bricklink.com and that will give you an idea:
www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=M&catString=34.314
You can click on each one and find a seller in your country and se how much each one is.
you can also get the purple space tanks in a city set 60361.
Yes, they are a LOT more common now, than when I bought the New Year Parade set to get my air tanks!!!!!
Lego should just sell that display. 😂

I like how the spaceman minifigures are basically just lego power rangers
Maybe that's where Power Rangers got their idea from?
Lego spacemen came out in 1979, and Power Rangers didn't;t premier until 1993 !!

congratulations on having them all. From September, the dark blue version of the torso can be picked up at the BAM stand, and another color will arrive in 2025. So you can continue collecting. As I will do the same 😅
Thanks for commenting and letting me know.
Do you know if we will also be able to get a dark blue helmet and air tanks from BAM ?
(where did you get the info from? I hadn't heard anything yet)
@@MinifigJez I found it on reddit Legoleak. Based on the picture, there will be no other space accessories. The motorcycle helmet can be used with it but the price for that will explode like by the dark purple torso released.
@@attilabiro2213 Thanks for the heads up and with your information I thought I should get prepared and find myself a Dark Blue motorcycle helmet...
On Bricklink in the UK there are NONE for sale!
So I checked what it came in and it was only ever on one Castle minifig,
On Bricklink in the UK there is ONE for sale!
But there isnt anymore as I've just bought it !!!!!!
And now I'll be visiting a Lego store on September the 1st to grab myself a Dark Blue Classic Space torso.
Thanks again for commenting... and the Classic Spaceman videos will continue!
So awesome
Thanks !
That's fine, but I can't bring myself to pull off arms to make a purple guy. Plus I thought the grey air tank only came in old grey...
Ahhh, I'm fine with a little bit of dismemberment, for the sake of a better Lego display!!!!
You're right that the grey air tank and helmet are both old grey, which is why I made sure I said you could build him "by adding a few new and old pieces". I went through my collection and made sure that the two parts, were the closest to new grey that I could find.
If you want the details of the figures, you should watch my original video from when I made the display: th-cam.com/video/Kdux13D9Rxo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QgkH3WPzYX95DDic

@@MinifigJez I just think eventually they'll make a normal purple space torso, just like finally doing the green helmet, so it's fine. I've been into Lego since the 70s and have never pulled off arms or legs.
@@studebricker2845 Oh dear... you don't condone my Channel Sig Fig then !!!!!!!!!!
I had to this to make him: th-cam.com/video/CQadO3ggW8o/w-d-xo.html
Nice to chat with a fellow 70's kid !
I literally just need the gray space helmet to complete my collection 😅
Which one are you going to go for?
The new light grey motorcycle helmet?
Or will you try and get hold of an old light grey 1978 classic helmet?
@@MinifigJez I’m trying to get the classic version but it’s very expensive 😂
I’m also worried that if I buy it, Lego will release a new one like they did for every other classic color
@@Luke_SkywaIker yes they can be expensive. I was fortunate enough to have one from YEARS ago. Good luck trying to get one.
Congrats on scoring the green helmet! Your Classic Space display is superb!
Many thanks, it sits in my build space, and the green helmet has been GLARING at me ever since I made the video on the original display, so I;m glad I;ve finally got the classic shaped one.
Let’s go
where?
@@MinifigJez to the Lego stars ✨
@@Taikisavage OK. You lead the way... I'll be right behind you.
W video
Thanks for commenting - But what is a "W video" ?
Let me know sometime.
@@MinifigJez w is often used as an abbreviation for win and is used to express a victory, success, or positive outcome in a given situation but you can just say W video, that means it's a good video. saying L, for example, is the opposite
@@WiZard_3829 GREAT! - Many thanks for the compliment! - And apologies for sounding dumb! I hadn't come across the abbreviation before!
Looks like theres going to be another Classic Space Micro GWP Set it Sounds like it'll have Micro Spaceman (Classic Smiley face)(Orange & Gray/Light Blueish Gray),
COOL! - Where did you hear that from?
