    Thanks Brian, I use Octoprint for 3D printing and found your video when searching for CNC version of same. really well done. I like the Cricut tool too. Cheers, JAYTEE

    will octoprint work with the SKR pro 1.2 board. Love the simple interface you have on the tablet. Does the octoprint just connect via the USB plug ? I'm using Repetier now but getting lots of interference and lockups when spindle is turned on. having to print via the sd card instead.

    love your setup I would love to get to a similar place! I run waterjets to pay the bills but I want a way to cut plastics and cf for quadcopter builds in my basement, your setup looks perfect and would go good next to my monoprice makerselect v2 and ender 3!!

    I really like your power chain and rail. Can you do a quick video of the full cable management layout. Also what are you using for the bridge rail. Finally do you have links to the stl files for the rail mounts? Thansk

    Hi man! I have seen you are using the full rambo board. How did you set the E0 and E1 ports as X2 and Y2? I had to wire the two motors of each axis in parallel to make them move and I couldn't find the way to clone the X and Y movement to EO and E1 in marlin. Can you help me? I need that to set the dual endstops function

    Could you explain why you need/use printoid?

    Can you please write the custom buttons in the Printoid ? Because i am sending G92 X0 Y0 Z0 but the program always starts at the Endstops .. But in the LCD Screen seems that the G92 works because it's showing X0 Y0 Z0 .
    Thanks in advance

    In some of the comments you answered that its just a plain octoprint install, are you using a plugin as well or did you have to set up everything custom? When I was first looking at doing this a couple years back octoprint didnt seem to support cnc machines ..

      @@ProjectsbyBrian , Thanks for the reply, looking forward to seeing your video, I just got an Elegoo mars and decided I should upgrade the Anet a8, MPCNC with ramps & 3018 and found this video while researching for it. I'm leaning towards putting in the "Better Grbl Support" plug in on octopi for the cnc's. Have you tried "Klipper" for the printers? I'm wondering if it would be worth trying to use on the MPCNC. Thanks again...

      @@ProjectsbyBrian Klipper does the bulk of the calculations on the pi then just has the printer board run them as events, seems to be smoother and faster, it runs as a octopi plugin. www.klipper3d.org/Features.html

    Thank you for sharing how you are controlling your different machines. I am curious to find out more about your 3D printer. Did you use the same one to print the MPCNC parts?

    • @MP-mu1kw
      @MP-mu1kw 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Brian! I have been debating whether to get the ready printed parts or first buy a 3DP and print the parts to build the MPCNC. And wasn't sure what type of 3DP to look for considering I am a total novice when it comes to 3DP and CNC but facinated by both :) When I have mine up and running I would love to pick your brains on how to connect the Rasberry Pi to the Rambo board. BTW, does it require any special programming to make it work or is it simply plug and play software configuration?

      @MP-mu1kw 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ProjectsbyBrian I see you have fitted the legs of your CNC to the spoil board which is mounted on the MDF surface of your table bench. I was curious to find out what is the material and thickness of the spoil board you have used and are the legs of the CNC screws into the spoil board? BTW, what are the dimensions of the tubes and the size of the workarea the CNC is able to travel.

      I would probably check out CNCjs instead of Octoprint. I actually switched to CNCjs about 6 months after making this video. Of course, I can't say for sure what will work best with your workflow, but something to consider.

    What firmware are you running on the controller board?

    • @stefanfoulis1725
      @stefanfoulis1725 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ProjectsbyBrian I looked it up on the v1engineering page: By default, Marlin seems to be on the board. So probably that is what you've got. I was wondering about that because many CNC controllers are running GRBL and didn't know how well octoprint would support it.
