The shackle on my lock worked well. The scratches show that whoever tried to saw it gave up on the hardened steel before getting even 1 mm deep. Good video, thanks.
Hello, LockPickingLawyer. I have one of these locks and I like that the smaller shackle has allowed me to put a better lock where I'd normally need larger hardware. It was the largest shackle size that fit my rented shed on a military base, for instance. It was a secure set of hardware but I couldn't put a bigger lock on it, which is strange. It is on my shed at the cottage now and it fits nicely. 9mm would have fit there but I already had this one. The yellow is probably to make it look all contractor-cool but I do like that I can see if my lock is still attached to my shed when I leave the cottage or check on it. Thanks for the great videos.
Just got one of these, hated it for two days, now I love it. You were right about learning spools- I used to suck at them, now I can do them fine. Also, interestingly mine doesn't have the serrated one for the last pin, mine is all spools
The spools gave me no problems with this one. The problem I had was overcoming the very strong core spring tension. After my third viewing of your "approach to tension" vid I finally got it. Still trying to master your approach but still not there yet. I must have seen your tension video 20 times and probably have another 20 ahead of me.
911, am I the only one who gets the joke😂😂😂🤔 You gotta call the emergency services because it's in need of some serious help 😂😉😩😘😘🔓 Great fluid picking as always and thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
I have a 911 on a shed and it's been attached twice. They haven't opened it yet. I was worried that they may come by and try again so I replaced it with a bigger sea container type lock.
If you're looking for a visual demonstration of how to pick spool pins, BosnianBill did one a few years ago. It didn't turn out exactly how he hoped (that's half the fun) but the theory is sound and it's still one of the best explanations of how to pick a spool pin and the concept of counter-rotation. It's at th-cam.com/video/d3H2rK-3FaQ/w-d-xo.html
Thanks, I'm familiar with the video... I think many beginners can learn quite a bit form it. (Also, FYI, when you put a link in your comment, it goes right to spam so I might not see it for a couple days)

Most of the time it’s easier to saw off the bracket that’s holding the lock on.
As someone who is a month into spp'ing, it is astounding how quickly you pick em. This gives me motivation to keep practicing.
Man, oh man! You sure do make that look easy. A very nice pick!

Thanks... It is a strange model number... you would have thought they would skip that one.
if all else fails, with masters famous crap bitting you can usually get those open rocking a rake pick in and out
Anything's possible, but with the number of spools, you would have to get pretty lucky.
+LockPickingLawyer try rocking a couple different rakes in there it will pop. masters spools aren't deep

my 911 had 5 spools :P took me a few minutes to get past that, guess it might be an older one
Someone else told me the same thing... ML must have changed up the pinning.
I've only had to pick one of those. Came with 5 short spools.
I've also found a fair bit of variation in pinning between Master locks made during different time periods... I guess it goes with the territory.
Not the most beautiful lock from the outside but great picking again.
Thanks. Not sure what Master was thinking with the yellow.
Thanks
Thanks for the tips brother!
What kind of tool did you use to get the c clip off?
It is part of the lock disassembly kit sold on DHGate.com
wait wait WAIT a MasterLock with 4 spools?¿??¿
no spring in the shackle?
Lots of locks are that way. Springs are just an unnecessary part to rust.
What Peterson number is the standard hook?
One.
go grab this lock and rock it with some rakes
I got some nice false sets. Tried it on the 930 also (pretty much the same lock)... no joy.
+LockPickingLawyer snake rake will get that spool set.

LockPickingLawyer At least you read your comments section. A lot of TH-camrs have moved comments to Reddit.
