Guava Bonsai Repot

I was afraid I was going to have to break the pot to get this guava out but it turns out that cutting the roots around the perimeter was actually quite easy.
Even so I decided to change the pot to a blue glazed one and I'm pretty happy with the result. I'm going to let the tree recover from the root pruning and then do some wiring and additional styling later this year. You can see previous videos of this tree at the end on this one.

Nice tree. I think your new front looks better, although I liked the roots from the old front. I have a guava too, could be a similar species, it's still got a ways to go before it's as developed as yours, but it's a fun tree to work with, vigorous grower, very hardy, one of my favourites.

Thank you! I've seen your guava. It's not as blocky as my tree which I like. I got this tree from a friend so I'm working with what I was given. I think it has a good future.

@@WoodcrestBonsai I don't know, I kind of prefer the developed branch structure you have on your tree, it looks more mature. I know mine has potential too but still a long way to go, but that's what we love about bonsai right? The meandering journey on the way to creating our artistic vision in living form.
