I've had other motorcycles and when I got my Navi back home in my truck I wanted to start it and thought the battery was dead. Spent way too much time trying to kick start until I realized the kickstand shut off. I will do this mod as I want to start and let it idle with the choke as I gear up

Couldn't you just grind down the metal nub that goes into the hole?

Annual safety? In ca I've never had to do this
