Sifu Rey, our techniques are for self defense. Trust me, they work. Please understand that this is not done at full speed in order for the viewer to see it clearly. Thanks. V/R Sifu Serrano
In order to understand the concept, one must practice many possibilities. One must not only believe that there's only one way of doing things, but to understand the concepts of others as well. If it works good, use it. V/R Sifu Serrano
Awesome video. I have seven years of wing chun training an in the past year I've been training Ed Parker kenpo an some hung gar forms with my new teacher. It's really nice with the wing Chun. Thanks for the video!
i like wing chun and kenpo but always with a realistic mindset. i have to agree with ur motto as it's the same in muay thai. I've seen people with broken arms after trying to block a kick with their arms in the ring. U can't block a real thai kick like that unless u have arms of steel and no one will attack u with a kick in reality unless they know what they're doing, even then, chances are they never will.
@wohooo0 I agree with u totally.but I think he is trying to catch the kick at the start where the power is low.Even that happens ,in reality is almost impossible to see the kick starting and get there. For me straight kick or forward movement and punch is possible solution.
I don`t like to put limitations on people but a Wing Chun motto is hands for hands and kicks for kicks, another one is never bong sau from the rear foot.Your WC Sifu should have told you that.
Sifu Serrano i agree with your technique if done as a proper speed it could work but i was more fond of how you have mixed the footwork of a boxer when you went on the ball of ur foot plus the add of the Kenpo Hammerfist, and also your Wing Chun block at the start i think its called ton Sau and Juck sau. But i like how you dont just limit all of it to one style. Great stuff. sorry i didnt get the wing chun name right. i been teaching mauy Thai too long lol. Take Care.
Because the most like do tournament fighting. For street fighting i would say attack the attack. WC just said clear than hit or at the same time and that is why I like WC
Hello Sifu Serrano. I’m a newbie so pardon my ignorance. This concept of Wing Chun Kenpo is alien to me. Is it a loose term or a definite discipline? How does it differ from original Wing Chun?
I basically agree but throwing unrealistic attacks or even wrong attacks (attacks that don't hit the opponent) doesn't give you any pratice. That's my opinion. Cheers
@sinista666 I can not speak for.. alleged "wing chun" But if I ever kick I always move in right away.. if it misses you have your fist or.. follow up technique imediately invadnig their space.. and if the kick is successful then it gives you a gap of time to immediately move in as well. Wing chun dudes are very hard to control because they understand body physics.. since wing chun is for self defense I do not understand how it could not be a "realistic punch" ? as opposed to say a TKD match
absolutely useless !! left heself wide open to a knee to hes groin by the attacker !! this man is a fraud !! where did yo learn your Martial Arts and who did you train under??

Most people on the street kick low. But I like the way you teach. Good stuff
God bless you too. You are a great martial artist. Keep up the good work!

These are the song of WC they are designed to keep you safe but if you want to ignore them then do so at your peril.

Different point of view. That's all. When you see it in person, then you realize that it works.

Then we agree, that being the case why waste time training against kicks to the body or head
Both WC and MT are about being efficient and direct.

get rid of the wing chun part of the name, cause it's not even there, geez
who throws a upcoming punch after a kick like that??? oh boy....
that that problem with most wing chun people, they cant throw a realistic punch.
Serrano, your pak sao sometimes doesn't have a great river connection. Thats why your pak sao isnt effective.
