I recently went through that mental inquest Limmy was going through of wondering whether I'm getting too old for games (I'm 36). The game that did it was, of all games, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga on Game Boy Advance, a child friendly babys first RPG. I just couldnt get the button combos for the special attacks down. My mind felt just too slow for it. It didnt help that I was playing it late at night when I was tired.

Well I grew up with that game and those button combos are pretty hard, requires you to do near frame perfect inputs without any visual indicator on the highest setting. I often just don't bother using them when I play it now. I'm 26.

Most of the designers and producers of these games (especially the OG designers and programmers of the 1980s and 1990s)are now in their 60s and still developing games or are still active in a major or minor capacity in the computer game industry. You're never "too old" or "too young" to learn mechanics in ANY game, regardless of difficulty. It's the position I've held since I was 12, that was back in 2010 when Limmy's Show was still airing on British Television.

It’s like when you dog your friend if they mess something up. most people are just playing alone, the 1% who actually mean what they say don’t matter. Limmy is just tilted from seikiro and probably self-conscious about not doing well on stream.
I prefer it when he analyses retro TV to be honest. I'm not a gamer myself, his immense comic talents feel a bit wasted on this. Ripping the shit out of old game shows and TV is a far better use of his considerable ability.
