Alot of Gorgoroth's stuff is pretty simplistic and King kinda stuck to the style on the 2 albums he wrote. Infernus to me just writes better riffs. Pentagram and Under the Sign of Hell were some of the first black metal albums i learned on guitar 20 plus years ago. But i do know what u mean with the classical and melodic riffs of Infernus.
TheMorbidAsshole I love Infernus’ playing - he’s probably my favorite metal guitarist- but the albums written by King definitely had some great riffs too, particularly “Ad Majorem...”
Thank you for the videos man, it's really helpful. How about a lesson about Inquisition? I think their way of writing songs are really interesting I'd say.
Have you ever tried black winters or nazgul, trust me bro there’s nothing like it, feel the power you behold. The nazgul(my go-to) can be a little tricky to dial in at times, once you find that sweet spot though(took me close to a year), it’s like riding a finely tuned Beast with complete clarity upon the destruction in your wake. the black winters have a hollowed soul, they’re super versatile, every note just sings or floats down to darkness. Flying below the radar, schecter’s apocalypse pickups are great, super hot, raw, and clear. Subscribed!
cj my yeah I’ve tried the Seymours. They’re really nice but since using a Fishman pickup I’ve been converted. I will have fishmans fitted at some point
Dev Gohil interesting, i was looking into those at one point. but after a bad experience with EMGs, I’ve haven’t played anything active since. I’m gonna be on the look out to try the Fishman’s, I see a lot of artist switching to them. How do they feel?
Really nice videos, keep it up. You have a very nice sound, very defined notes, what gear are you using ? Also the fact you're hitting the shit out of the strings must help but still, i'm curious
Ugh your strumming is so quick! Can you do a video showing it veeeery slowed down, and gradually increasing? Im struggling mostly with that part, for the rest there should be tabs somewhere. Thanks for making a video about Gorgoroth!! :-D
1:36 is not an inverted power chord. Its a stacked power chord. Inverted would be 5533. So if an F power chord is 13 then an inverted would be 31. Fear Factory also is great to study for those mutes.
that's not how it works. an inverted F powerchord still has the notes of an F powerchord, but with the 5th as the root note rather than the 1st. 5533 would be a completely different chord with none of the same notes.
@@hightreason I am speaking from a mindset of fretting. Not actually what the notes would be. In my explanation inverted F would have G in the bass and a B on the 2nd string.
@@hightreason Guitar is the only instrument i know of where we can have the weirdest explanations and interpretations yet still convey the general idea.

I preferred infernus' stuff

Listen to Sepultura (Chaos AD- Roots) to get those rhythms down. They do it best and they did it 35 yrs ago
