    Question from one who isnt into farming; is this greenhouse at Lara Farms mostly for wind shelter and plants and trees that is sensitive to winds?

    • @edibletropicaltrees
      @edibletropicaltrees ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on where you lived. Greenhouses are usually used to start new trees and plants. In Arizona I don't use a greenhouse, because it gets too hot and will fry the plants.

    You’re obsessed with the spacing. Let it go man. In the jungle, seeds don’t space themselves and they grow just fine.

      Spacing does matter. you want each tree to get good sunlight so they fruit. I am not letting my trees grow big like in a jungle where they compete for sunlight so I have to be wise about how and where I plant. It does make a difference to pick the best spot and have good spacing.

      We don't have an entire jungle to grow in. Paul is trying to help us find the optimal spacing for our backyards. Seems like a minimum of 16ft, especially considering how big older trees can get.

    Lovely Fruit Farm! Thanks for taking us with you! Helps one appreciate the work that goes into keeping such a farm! I like the neatest and how the Fruit trees are very well organized and arranged!

    Wow, man that place is vast! My friend ordered four trees from Lara farms and then I ordered two, and all but one survived which they mostly reimbursed him for.

    We visited the farm on this past Saturday and purchased the pollak avocado tree!

      hopefully you got the "approved pollock" and not the "pollock" avocado tree. They are 2 different trees

      @@FruitfulTrees I think it was the regular tall pollak as it was not short! We just asked the guy for the improved pollak and it was in a 5 gal pot for $70! We will have to go back this weekend to get that smaller pot because I think he gave us the wrong one

    • @Glam-Ma305

      Paul we went back to Lara Farms and Julian was there. I told him we came last Saturday and purchased the “pollack avocado tree” and it was as tall as me and I’m not sure I got the right tree! Julian said he only graft improved pollack & he don’t have or sell the regular pollack so that was a relief because we put that baby in the ground as soon as we returned home. He also gave us 2 persimmons to taste but as you already know they are not ready to eat! The graft’s won’t be ready for purchase until next year spring. Thank you Paul for sharing the 411 😘 SoFlo born & raised
