Visual representation was the best personalized thing i've ever seen . People gets irritated of cold emails which are sent to 1000 others and they don't feel comfortable . Personalized emails are really cool
I like your teaching style, and you aren't trying to sell an ebook or course. That gives your advice even more weight and value. Your content is relatively related to your product, yet not direclty selling it, great credibilty builder, bravo ;)
Super good job on this video very informative, well-presented, and you are a good speaker. I've been driving back from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and I've listened to hours of bad email videos. I'm also a big fan of proposify
Wow, this is gold! 1) What do you think? Is it a good idea to use the calendly link as a CTA at the end of the email? So the clients can choose the time to set up a meeting with me? 2) Is it okay to send cold emails to private email addresses or business addresses only? 3) What do you think about tracking pixels in the email to see when the client reads the email? Thanks
Yes, bottom line, the email from Julie makes you feel like, "oh God! The last thing I want to do is have a conversation with this robotic salesperson." In a sense, when you are specific and tuned-in to a person, *that* telegraphs that it is going to be comfortable to talk with you-the opposite of agenda-driven and robotic.
Treys email contains a video thumbnail and link to the actual video. Im interested to know if it got into your inbox and was the image displayed the first time?
Please note that cold emailing is illegal in some countries, eg. in Europe. Also, most unexpected E-Mails from businesses are simply ignored and go right to the Spam or are deleted. Just to keep that in mind.
Hi Shal, we don't have a video for that episode of the Biz Chat, but you can listen to the podcast episode or read the corresponding blog post here: bit.ly/31Fr64W. Thanks for watching!
I disagree with you on several points and at the same time agree with everything you're saying. But let's be honest about the #1 reason you don't like Julie's email, you're not interested in what she has to offer. The whole point of Julie reaching out to you wasn't to get a phone call (even though that was her point of conversion). The real reason she sent them out was to see who was interested. You assume that you not replying is a bad thing. When in reality you've helped her do her own lead qualification. With that said, I agree with everything else you said. Had she been more particular she could have increased her chances of getting a response. But still chances are that if you're not interested in her value prop now you probably wouldn't be later.
My point is that her value prop isn't well targeted to me, she just sent a cold blast to a million people with a generic pitch. But even if Julie was offering something of value, do you think her approach/pitch was on point? Do you not think it was vague, self-serving and unlikely to get noticed? - Kyle
@@ProposifyInc I think it would have attracted some people. Just a lower quality lead. Even an average campaign has a 3% conversion rate. Let's be honest, if she sent that out to 800 people she probably would have gotten 5 to 12 responses. People who might have been interested in even a vague notion of making more money. I'm not advocating her technique. But even I sent an email that was just a selfie of me holding a carrot to 1000 prospects, at least 10 are likely to reply. But that's just my experience.
Is there anyway to create a replybutton / canned reponse feature in your email for your recipients to use? I want to make their repsponding tome easy and want a feature with my emails to them to allow them to just click a button that send a automatic response to me e.g "Interested, call me in the new year" Is this possible?
Thanks for your question! It all depends on the who, what, when, where and why of your email campaign that can impact response rates. Just play your law of averages and learn from mishaps. Happy closing!
@@ProposifyInc Thanks for the reply and making this video, very helpful when i've quit my job and started my own business and now need to market myself. Thanks!
Hi, I really like this video, I am interested in your podcast, is there any page or direct link that I could visit to listen to, or just a name to look for it. I always listen to Educational Marketing strategic content while I´m cleaning or in a jog, even working, so please, give me that name. Warmly, Fernando.
Great video, the only comment I have would be to redo the audio. There's a ton of peaking and crackling with digital clipping throughout the entire video. I master audio for videos and commercials.
Hi Gaurav! Thanks for watching! Great question! While you could follow a template for a cold email, it's also important to personalize and engage your recipient as much as possible. We elaborated in our blog! I'll link it here for you (www.proposify.com/blog/the-best-cold-email). There's some great tips and tricks to make sure that you're sending the best cold email possible. Cheers!
My only concern with adding a link to my email is how many people are being scammed VIA email. It may worry quite a few people seeing the link there. What are your thoughts on that?
It's best to stick to only one link - the one in your email signature that links to your website. But if you're still interested we have a blog post about it. blog.woodpecker.co/cold-email/links-in-cold-email/
What to do if I'm in a city where no one gives a shit about digital marketing and they don't check their emails? Should I directly meet them at office or cold call them?
Personally I think that showing up to an office unannounced is rude and abrasive, but it depends on your target audience - sometimes more old school business owners appreciate the personal touch. Cold calling may be the better approach though. I may do a follow up video soon on the best cold calling tactics.
To comply with Canadian law, you need to give a clear way of unsubscribing, prove legitimate interest, include contact credentials, put an info about what kind of a message it is
