- We have finished our larger 34x24HD hammer mill for scrap metal processing. In this reveal video we show several different samples of materials being run including: cast aluminum and dirty aluminum, dirty/contaminated brass, starters and alternators, transformers, whole PC towers, etc. We have lots of customers who are looking for a larger hammer mill to process heavier or bulkier items and we are happy to finally have one ready for sale.

I worked in packing plants and rendering plants and wonder why you bo not make grinders and hammer mills for them

@Xtreme Performance no kidding! A bunch of people with hammer mills don't want to run them due to the heavier casing and some of the insides. I'd like to see how Jason's equipment will handle it.
@Xtreme Performance I've seen all those. One machine (such as a 100 to 500 HP hammer mill) that can handle multiple different types of material is alot better than multiple specialized pieces of equipment. That is why I want to see them.
@Xtreme Performance my point is the hammer mill can run numerous different materials (dirty brass, ACRs, ASR fluff, electric motors, sealed units, circuit boards, etc). The machines you're talking about are limited to motors, transformers, seal units, etc.

For hammering, There must be something better over shredding, what makes hammering so much better?

Are chunks of that size hard on the mill?
Anything under 20 lbs is ok
Discharge holes have some wear already. Just sayin'. Just how many items with shafts can it take before it needs service? Surely it's steel shafts beating the hell out of those discharge screens.
I also wonder about balled up sheet steel, whether non ferrous ends up encapsulated within balled up bits.
Im thinking hammer mill first, shearing action of a shredder for processing transformers?

Can you guys run some stainless steel sinks through this thing. We waste a ton of labor trying to clean the steel rims/drains on these sinks and other stainless items. Might make sense for some customers since after its shredded it would be easier sort.

Most of, if not all, of their Hammer Mills you can change the screen to what suits the material your feeding through it.

Hi Maciej. Thanks for the comment. I have run several tons of material through the hammer mill now and I will do a video showing the wear on the screen and hammers. The wear is very small, almost nothing. The hammer mill holds up very well

Run the following: laser printers, garbage disposals and lawn mower engines. If the engines are too big, run them thru a jaw crusher first.

There's a video out there somewhere of someone running a full propane tank through a huge hammer mill, the kind that can process a whole crushed car at a time. Made a pretty big bang, but the machine didn't seem any worse for wear.
I would like to see Donald Trump run through the hammermill, there must be a steel plate in there.
