hey! I know why the machines play music--it is actually a safety feature. Sometimes, they sing a different song for each major function. It sounds like in this factory, fur elise means "travelling." When we had a new tunnel bored here in seattle, the tunnel boring machine had a song for forward travel, and different songs for the various steps involved in placing the concrete tunnel segments. That way, whether they can actively see it or not because of the smokey or dirty environment, workers can always tell exactly what the machine is doing.

I loved how you could hear the pops from the electrodes first hit the scrap charge in the background as the visual of the scrap bucket being hauled back to the scrap pile played. That was really cool.

Man I just want to let you know that this is hands down the best production quality for industrial pictures I've ever seen.
Usually these videos are with a shitty definition with uninteresting, loooooong static angles and depressing tones. You really nailed the color correction, the shots, basically everything. I don't know how you do that but it seems you can get the camera in locations you usually can only achieve using CGI. It's like a damn movie.
I'm not sure I've even seen something like that on TV. Keep it up and I'm eager to watch this channel grow.

I've seen these processes for real, long ago - both ferrous and aluminium extrusion, and it always amazed me that, in spite of the immense size of these plants and the machinery the materials move through, they end up sized within very fine tolerances and very homogeneous in hardness and strength!
But on the other side one could argue that the amount of power that's being thrown away cooling the metal, would easily be enough to power and heat an entire city...
Foundries are needed, but they do need to move with the times.
Very well filmed, by the way!! You simply can't convey the noise and heat by watching a video - not to mention the danger if actually being there as a guest.

Speaking as a person who was born and raised in Pohang, where POSCO, the largest steel mill in Korea, is located. I don't know what other factories are like, but they(POSCO) send the cooling water to use as hot water in several neighborhood. I heard that people spend the winter without worrying about heating. Probably not all steel mills in other regions are like that, but I hope this case will increase. And also want companies to act responsibly in the climate crisis. One thing, out of many, that stood out was the playing of music to signify various things happening: start/end of work, lunch, break time, equipment moving etc. Every factory did the same, different music though. My husband works in a steel mill. This place is so clean comparatively speaking. I've never seen an arc furnace before so this was so cool to see.

Hello. Nice to meet you.. I come from China. I am also an employee of a steel factory, and I work in the sales of graphite electrodes.

This is an amazing factory video, the first I've seen from your channel (I will be watching more!). For anyone else that's new, you MUST turn captions on, they're informative and funny 😂 "No discount code but ordering 100 tonnes or more will get you some discount" 🤣 Thank you Factory Monster!!
